“I feel like I traveled in time and reached a magical place that serves tasty and authentic Afghans food. The service was something out of this world the owner of the resturant asked me if it my first time eating afghan food and when I said yes he came out not only with a desert but with another dish (which I can't pronounce but OMG so delicious , beef dumplings I highly recommend). The place has an authentic music and I can see the wife putting love to the dish in the kitchen. Honestly all I can say this place is a gem . Thank you for your hospitality and I'll sure come back again 5+”

“One of my to go grocery stores. It is almost never crowded and I can make a quick visit to pick up something I need. I like their veggies and greens selections. They got some Asian veggies as well. And you can get some items in bulk. Turns out very cheap if you can use the quantity. Overall great selection and low prices.

“I purchased our traditional favorites, xlb and chive turnovers, from OFD at the Saratoga Farmers Market this morning. Seeing the photos of the plump steamed pork/cabbage buns, I impulsively bought a package of three; took it home for lunch. After steaming for eight minutes, the dough remained soft and fluffy. The pork/cabbage center was savory. A small amount of savory juice soaked into the dough wrap. Yum! Will be back for more!”
“I like the the low price fruits and vegetables.
At the same time, the quality can be uneven so you do need to be checking their quality. If necessary, you may have to go to some other place such as Trader Joe's for some items which is not too far away if the quality is better there. Overall good value at FoodMaxx and I do shop there a lot. Especially good value for frozen vegetables. I did some shopping on July 17th at FoodMaxx and was going to buy some ground turkey breast. Almost all of the one pound size were dated about July 17th. I didn't want to get anything that was so close to expiration. On the other hand, I did some shopping at a supermarket in Newark and that store also did have short dated ground turkey as well so it's not just FoodMaxx, it's other stores too. We have to be on the lookout to make sure that we're taking something that's not short dated.”
