“Disclaimer: First of all, this location is under new management with the same name. So if you see a bad review from over a year ago, it was not them.
Back Story: I went to Swier Tire many years ago, under the old owners, for a tire change. I was new to owning a truck. They not only overcharged me for a tire, they also couldnt get my spare tire back under my truck and told me to take it to the dealership to have them do it. The dealership wanted to charge me like $400 to do this so I left my tire in the bed of my truck.
Experience with New Management: I decided to give the new owners a chance since the last ones left a bad taste in my mouth.
I already knew what was wrong with my vehicle before taking it there, what needed to be changed, and about how much it should cost.
I took my truck in and the diagnosis was exactly what I expected.
Pricing was also very reasonable.
THE PLOT THICKENS: LET ME TELL YOU, they were refreshingly honest and went above and beyond! That tire that had been sitting in the bed of my truck for years, THEY PUT IT BACK UNDER MY TRUCK without charge. They did it out of kindness because they noticed it. They did tell me it took a few guys to pull the cable back out to secure the tire but it was no trouble.
IT ONLY GETS BETTER: This family owned shop is exactly what you are looking for in a mechanic. Drew, the owner, also has a shop dog who is so well behaved that you wouldn't even know he was there unless you spot him. This gentle giant is a reflection of his owner. I highly recommend them.”
“They are completely professional and trustworthy! I wanted to do the oil change in Valvoline yesterday, but they broke my drain plug and couldn't unscrew it. Then they told me they refused to provide any service for my car, refused doing oil change or anything for me Then tell me it was my own fault, and they completely refuse to admit that they messed it up Anyway, I won't go to Valvoline in the future, and today I came to Pepboy in Mchenry.Their professional level helped me successfully remove the drain plug and replace it, and then changed my oil I recommend that you all come to Pepboy. The staff are enthusiastic and easy to talk to Professional in handling affairs.”

“On our way home with our horse, our horse trailer had a flat tire. We pulled over and called Roadsidd assistance. We waited for three hours and they still hadn’t showed. Someone drove by and told us she went into Sonora Tire shop and told them we were stuck on the side of the road with a horse. The owner of Sonora tire shop was at our trailer within two minutes and had our tire swapped out within five minutes. I’ve been needing new tires for my trailer so we followed him right back to his shop and put new tires on. I am blown away by the customer service and the fact that he came out of his way to help us. Sonora tire has a new customer for life. I will drive from two towns over to come to this place and recommend them to everyone.”

“Omg Neil is the nicest person, I seriously thought my car maintenance on my car was going to so high like sell ur kidney high ?. He also taught some new stuff. My brakes were squeaking and my first thought they were going to tell me they need to replace them for more money (cuz I’m a female: it does happen) he called me. I saw The caller ID and all I could think is oh ish I’m going to need a new engine. Nope they just needed to be cleaned. They did all the tuneups new spring struts so it doesn’t squeak every time I go over a bump. But I’m a happy camper I ended up paying less than I was expected. Oh I didn’t tell him how much I wanted to spend too. I recommend this place 2,000%. Neil is the man honest business man and he will call u and tell what is wrong or not wrong with the car. Tony who evaluated the problems on my car gave me a quote for repair cost handle car repair insurance company from beginning to the end which took a load off my mind.
