“I've lived here for 3 years and have never lived in a better managed apartment. We moved here on the tail end of COVID and trusted the front office team to recommend an apartment and were blown away how nice it was. The pool is open year round, and the fitness center is perfect for a small apartment gym. The team takes security seriously, and the garage is secure at all times. Christie and her team always present a friendly demeanor in the office and are willing to work with tenants to make sure they love living at AVE. I'll be sad to depart when my job moves me this summer.”

“I’m a new resident and I’m already in love with Avalon Public Market. The property itself is simply gorgeous, from the beautiful lounges (there’s a rooftop lounge that you can overlook the bay from!) and the state-of-the-art gym, to the cute outdoor entertainment space and the pool, to the bright and carefully maintained apartments themselves. In addition, the surroundings feel quite safe and Emeryville itself is just a very cute place to walk around, with the Public Market being literally within five-minute walking distance from the apartment building. The building’s security system is quite impressive and I feel very safe with the controlled access through the gates, the double-gated garage, and the secure locker hub and locker room.As much as I love the building itself and what it offers, what made me immediately want to be a part of the Avalon Public Market community is definitely the people at the leasing office. It has been such a blessing to work with Martha, who has been so kind, supportive, responsive, patient, and just all-around amazing since Day 1. I was looking to move last minute and had a gazillion questions as I toured the apartment, but Martha was so sweet and patiently took the time to walk me through everything, which helped tremendously with all the anxiety I had had about the move. When I needed a couple things to be updated on my lease, she was fast with having a new lease created and gave assurance along the whole process. When I came to pick up the keys, Martha did not only show me around the apartment again and explain in details how I would access places, etc., but she also made sure that I was comfortable with using the keys and had fully learned how to access the building and my apartment before she went back to the office. Through all these interactions, I really have felt cared for by Martha and am even more excited about the prospect of becoming a resident here because of her kindness and support. It’s so apparent that she and the rest of the leasing team truly care about making the community feel like home for all the residents and are there to support whenever you need. Thank you so much for everything!”

“This is my review after signing my lease a few days ago:I am slowly moving into Artistry, and I will say, upon touring I felt like I was already a member of their community.Nathalie was very hospitable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Any question I had, she was able to provide me insight or point me to the right direction. Her level of professionalism is unmatched!I would give a 4.5 star due to tech difficulties on their website but I’d rather give a full 5 because Nathalie was quick to mitigate the issue. It all worked out, and I am now part of the community. What made me choose them upon others is their staff.Other apartment communities I've spoken to or toured (same price range/similar square footage/same district in Emeryville (District 3):Unkept, had water damage, staff wasn’t present when I wanted to tour, and some that I’ve just called seemed rude/displayed attitude because I asked to tour.Artistry, however, displays their knowledge of customer service, despite the many directions they seem to be pulled in. I would recommend asking questions to determine if this is the right place for you, as the staff member I spoke to had the answers.”

“My experience at Emme has been fantastic, from touring and signing the lease to living here! Our leasing agent, Joie Curtiz, was extremely attentive and accommodating with our schedule, allowing us to tour the complex after hours in the evening. He answered all our questions, showed us our dream apartment, and we submitted our application that night based on 1) our great touring experience and 2) the great amenities and apartment space. Despite some issues with our application, Joie was on it and provided accessible communication to troubleshoot for quick approval!Our move-in day was seamless with Megan Cao, one of the Community Relations Representatives. She was welcoming, made the process to add parking to our lease seamless, and prioritized troubleshooting a key fob and parking remote that were not working.My move from Oakland (only 10 minutes away) to Emme Apartments in Emeryville is night and day, with significantly less car bipping/break-ins and porch pirates. The location is safe and optimal, with Bay St, a dog park/playground, and Trader Joe’s within walking distance. The property is dog-friendly, and you can see someone walking their dog at any time of the day in the area. I appreciate all the staff at Emme Apartments, and would highly recommend this apartment complex as your future home!”

“So far so good… cement flooring is cool & all but unless your on the top floor your every step echoes horribly… might I suggest everyone with a neighbor below invest in area rugs… like a lot of them lol only other complaint so far is the fact the gate has stayed open a few nights. I specifically choose apartments that are gated… I expect that gate to remain closed unless someone who lives here is entering.. not open all hours of the night & day for anyone to enter. I’d think that’d be a priority?”

“The property has gone thru many changes. I have been here for more than 5 years. Since Covid, If you expect customer service or quick responses on anything not related to porter or maintenance, you might not be extremely happy. Security is particularly slow to respond. However, The porter and maintenance teams are amazing and wear many hats. Gabriel Madrid does not only keep the property clean but is quick to respond. Today there was dog poop in the hallway and i told him and five minutes later it was clean. When he goes on vacations you can really see the difference: trash piles up and its not as clean. Essex is very lucky and fortunate to have him. The maintenance team is also amazing. Bernardo is a hard worker. i hope Essex knows how to keep their best people because that is the one thing that differentiates it and these two teams make up for all the other shortcomings.”
