4700 Adeline St, Emeryville“So far so good… cement flooring is cool & all but unless your on the top floor your every step echoes horribly… might I suggest everyone with a neighbor below invest in area rugs… like a lot of them lol only other complaint so far is the fact the gate has stayed open a few nights. I specifically choose apartments that are gated… I expect that gate to remain closed unless someone who lives here is entering.. not open all hours of the night & day for anyone to enter. I’d think that’d be a priority?”
“The property has gone thru many changes. I have been here for more than 5 years. Since Covid, If you expect customer service or quick responses on anything not related to porter or maintenance, you might not be extremely happy. Security is particularly slow to respond. However, The porter and maintenance teams are amazing and wear many hats. Gabriel Madrid does not only keep the property clean but is quick to respond. Today there was dog poop in the hallway and i told him and five minutes later it was clean. When he goes on vacations you can really see the difference: trash piles up and its not as clean. Essex is very lucky and fortunate to have him. The maintenance team is also amazing. Bernardo is a hard worker. i hope Essex knows how to keep their best people because that is the one thing that differentiates it and these two teams make up for all the other shortcomings.”
“I’m a new resident and I’m already in love with Avalon Public Market. The property itself is simply gorgeous, from the beautiful lounges (there’s a rooftop lounge that you can overlook the bay from!) and the state-of-the-art gym, to the cute outdoor entertainment space and the pool, to the bright and carefully maintained apartments themselves. In addition, the surroundings feel quite safe and Emeryville itself is just a very cute place to walk around, with the Public Market being literally within five-minute walking distance from the apartment building. The building’s security system is quite impressive and I feel very safe with the controlled access through the gates, the double-gated garage, and the secure locker hub and locker room.As much as I love the building itself and what it offers, what made me immediately want to be a part of the Avalon Public Market community is definitely the people at the leasing office. It has been such a blessing to work with Martha, who has been so kind, supportive, responsive, patient, and just all-around amazing since Day 1. I was looking to move last minute and had a gazillion questions as I toured the apartment, but Martha was so sweet and patiently took the time to walk me through everything, which helped tremendously with all the anxiety I had had about the move. When I needed a couple things to be updated on my lease, she was fast with having a new lease created and gave assurance along the whole process. When I came to pick up the keys, Martha did not only show me around the apartment again and explain in details how I would access places, etc., but she also made sure that I was comfortable with using the keys and had fully learned how to access the building and my apartment before she went back to the office. Through all these interactions, I really have felt cared for by Martha and am even more excited about the prospect of becoming a resident here because of her kindness and support. It’s so apparent that she and the rest of the leasing team truly care about making the community feel like home for all the residents and are there to support whenever you need. Thank you so much for everything!”
