6004 College Ave, Oakland“This shop is a sweet little piece of heaven. Their plants are lush and gorgeous, lots of goods from local artists, a cute little Studio Ghibli section, and meaningful events focused on mental health and well being. I love this place and the special folks that run it. I'm so impressed with their commitment to the community. It's a great place to shop and on top of that, a portion of the proceeds go towards supporting mental health initiatives in the community.”
“Had a wonderful experience with Lee's. I searched for a florist serving the Berkeley residential area, and one with interesting and modern designs. And Lee's not only fit the bill but did a beautiful job. The bouquet was as pictured and described - that is, beautiful. Also, I loved the updates by text and email, including one of the bouquet as it was about to be delivered. Calming when you're sending flowers thousands of miles away.”
“I adore this shop! Great selection of plants at a good price and the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Great customer service and the shop is super cute.

“Having Delano provide Our Business with such fine materials and containers, gorgeous healthy blooming plants, cute, traditional basket gardens, trendy new 'Instagram' tropicals and lush full green plants keeps our customers happy and returning for more. Side by side, my customers will choose Delano plants over their competitors. Blooming plants are beautiful Now, today for the event I need them for...not waiting for them to be showy for later when the event is over. And then my customers tell me that their plant is still happy and thriving. Great Customer Service means I am having a pleasant intelligent knowledgeable staff member handle my needs, even when it's early morning. Thank you everyone at Delano, for being there when I need You! OH, and their office staff has made sure that my pre-ordered special requests are at the SF Flower Market, waiting for me. Thanks!”
“The best Plant Shop in the area because of the co-owners! My partner and I came in for the first time this Sunday and Queen was so helpful and informative. We walked away with three new beautiful plants and learned a lot about how to take care of our existing plants as well. Will definitely come back for more plants and more expertise. Love supporting local”
“Repeat female customer here. I manage a no-spray, organic veggie/flower farm and rely on Hida's carbon steel (CS) tools for quality, edge retention, and beauty; I am ALWAYS impressed. I have multiple Hida CS shears and pruners and so long as they’re wiped clean after use, they do appear to resist rust. Well-made and long-lasting, the Chikamasa T-600 shears are my latest addition. Thank you Hida Tool!”
“Really appreciate that they have the source county for many of their plants, it's rare to get that kind of information! So, you can get some hyper-local stuff! Helpful staff, good selection. Happy to have them around!”
“I could not be a bigger fan of Flowerland. The combo of drinks, plants, pretty garden furniture and a curated gift shop is my slice of heaven. Take all my money! Carly, the owner, has such exquisite taste. And her long-time employees are talented and incredibly hard-working. This is a local gem and I intend to do my part to make sure they stay in business for a good long time. :)”
“Best secret garden/shop in Richmond hands down! Community favorite, employee owned and they consistently provide high quality hard to find plants along with natives and traditional varieties for all needs. This location is a microcosm of plant diversity and a huge community building nexus in the Bay Area.”
“So much variety in the plants and really helpful staff to help choose what to buy. They really support the native healthy garden, and have very knowledgeable staff.”
“A lovely garden shop for many cacti and plants that should thrive in California. Great variety of plants, but I also found it very expensive. I’ll probably come often to browse but will be careful about which plants I fall in love with.”
“I made 3 keys at Home Depot, but don’t work. Cole hardware stuff found it issue, and made a key works. The original key is little bent , they can help made a copy key even the original is bent !”
“Update: I love this place, but agree with another reviewer that the quality of plants isn’t always great. Blueberries covered in worms (at the nursery.) Tomatoes got early blight (after bringing home, could also have been made worse by crazy rains this year but it started 1-2 wks after I got them.)One of a kind. Love the unique plants I’ve found here. The owner has deep plant knowledge.”
“Prices are absurd but they do have an incredible collection of cacti. If you are looking for a very specific type and don’t mind paying a high price tag for it, then this is the best place for you. Oh and the also have tortoises”
“Fantastic place to get beautiful plants at great prices! The gardeners are friendly and knowledgeable. Nursery is laid out according to where in the Bay the plant is from, so I could easily find plants suited to my garden. Laid back, non profit, and a lot of fun to walk around (since there is a load of info posted about every plant) - doesn’t get better than that!”

1272 Gilman St, Berkeley“Westbrae Nursery is a dream come true! I was immediately amazed by the diverse selection and top-notch quality of their plants, indoor and outdoor alike. But what really sets this nursery apart is the EXQUISITE customer service. The young woman working at the counter was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. My purchases have thrived, a testament to her amazing advice and feedback. I highly suggest consulting her as my garden has never looked better.”

1735 Delaware St, Berkeley“Very nice lady(Alex is her name) and very informative and knowledgeable about her plants.?She was stern about some of her rules of not walking past the beige trashcan but it is her house and her business so keep that in mind hahaShe has a very good variety of cool plants and very very good prices but also keep in mind her hours of operation.I got several cuttings from her larger mother plants of euphoria and some bridgesii and haworthia. She goes out of her way to make sure everything is properly labeled with the scientific name which was awesome. She was wearing a mask the entire time I was there and was overall a good experience to me.Not sure of the negative reviews but they mostly seemed around people expecting this to be a large nursery which it's not, it's her house which I personally find cool to see people like her running a small business from.Besides the street parking it's a cool stop that anyone who likes cacti and succulents should check out. ?”
“This is quite a unique store, it is an experience. That's for sure. The way I feel when I enter the store is almost difficult to describe. I just feel at peace. The items are carefully selected, each piece thoughtfully designed by the artists. Though a bit on the pricier side, I find that I have not regretted a single item I've purchased from here. Every year, I save up to get a nice (fancy) one of a kind item from the gardener, other times throughout the year, I come in to get soaps and lotions or stay for the good vibes. Its peaceful.I just love love love that this place exists and I get to go!”
“Even if you're not planning to buy any plants or soil products, you should check out Berkeley Horticultural Nursery anyways.
Huge offerings of pretty much every type of plant out there, including a massive succulent and cactus section.
About 30+ types of maple trees, endless varietals of fruits and vegetables, decorative aquatic plants, ground cover, you name it.
Prices are not super cheap, but they're also not outrageous, and some stuff is rather competitive.
Don't forget to check out all the carnivorous plants!”

1625 Sycamore Ave, Hercules“We visited on 7/10/23, looking for a length of flexible spa hose to finish setting up a hot tub in our backyard. We had already gone to one Home Depot and had issues. We located the hose in question, but wanted to buy per-foot, rather than an entire roll of hose. This was something they had a SKU for, but they didn't have 8 feet of loose tubing for us. Eventually, we took the roll up to check out and explained the situation to Sylvia. Other places might insist that we buy the entire roll. Instead, she stuck with us, and found Jose, who could do the cutting we needed.Thank you to Sylvia and Jose for going above and beyond in order to make it work. It took a little while to get the right people, but they didn't abandon us, and they made sure to keep with it until we had resolution.”
“My word! Where would we be without our best DIY partner, Home Depot? Life is so much easier with their help. All I can say is thank you, Home Depot. They have all you need!”
“Such friendly helpful people work here.i came for plant cages I will say I found them at grocery outlet much cheaper buing bags of planting soil it was good other things tho they seem over priced”

“The sweet lady with the glasses is always super helpful and kind. I was buying fabric there last week and the computer was having issues so it took some time to get me rung up. She discounted my items and if it wasn't for her customer service I would have not returned to shop there”
“The best farm in the bay area. El Sobrante is a hidden gem over 4 acres of pure outdoors. Farmer Micheal is the best tour farm guide. We had a wonderful time outdoors. Apple picking, pluotts, chocolate mint and strawberry ? mint... The honey bees... ? Great spot for family outing or day date .”
