“I first knew of this hospital in 2021. It’s been only 3 years since, but I am still a loyal client at this hospital that sometime feels like a lifetime ago.In 2021, I took one of my dogs here for a sudden illness. Washington Blvd. Animal Hospital (WBAH) was the 4th hospital I took my dog to in an attempt to save her life, and they are the hospital that took the time to try different procedures while having a heart. The hospital did everything in their powers, even gifting me a CT scan for my dog, to try to save her life. Unfortunately, a miracle was not in her cards, and she passed away, but it was in the loving care and arms of the staff and me.From the moment I first set foot onto the premises of the hospital, it was Marlene, the vet tech. who greeted me with such profound empathy and I will always remember her. Dr. Chang and Dr. Voorheis who did everything they could to save my dog with so much compassion, care, and professional expertise. Dr. Voorheis has since retired, but Dr. Stephany Chang is there, and she is the doctor for my other dog (my other dog is currently being treated for complicated health issues). Dr. Chang is knowledgeable, listens to my concerns, and is innovative in her ways of treatment since the moment I met her. My other dog had her dental procedure under anesthesia, and Dr. Chang was also the doctor who performed the procedure. Dr. Chang is thorough from taking x-rays and bloodwork to make sure all is okay before examining and cleaning my dog’s teeth. I felt at-ease with my dogs under Dr. Chang’s care.WBAH is a 40 min. drive for me without traffic. That tells you that while I live far away, I will continue to take my dog here to see Dr. Chang. I cannot speak in detail about the other doctors, but the staff has always treated me with compassion and understanding, and do all they can to get me an appointment as soon as possible.”

“Myself and my wife went after the New Year to take in our 14 + old Tabby gray cat GOHAN to see if they could put him down as he was suffering for over 9 days he had multiple medical conditions , and had been slowly declining never complained by crying or anything. We had a rough time getting through the process of parting ways with Gohan he was such a great cat & will be missed dearly. The Doctor, his son , & their staff were very understanding and still being our first time visit at that clinic, treated Gohan as they would do any animal checked ,examined him, weighed him, explained his condition to us , and allowed us to be able to make the hard decision of putting him down so he could be at peace. We highly recommend this clinic , and will definitely be bringing in our other animals to this clinic . Our clinic was booked and closed one extra day for New Years and we appreciated this place for being open, and that staff, and doctors , for the way that they handled our situation professionally. “Update 02/16/2024: (changing 1 star to 5 star) I got a text from Rosey. The business phone system has been down and sometimes work for more than 2 weeks now. And PetDesk doesn't work if you are a new customer. Unfortunately, my account has my daughter's phone and my appointment won't link. I finally got a new appointment and will be heading there in a few weeks.From my past experience, their veterinarians are all nice and easy to communicate with. My current dog is very happy with this place. they offer neuter/spay, vaccines and also have Xray and other pet services. They also sell dog food, I believe it's all Hill Science diet.02/15/2024I currently take my dog here and want to make an appt. Using PetDesk, I never get a confirmation. I called their number and left multiple messages and no one ever called me back.I have anew dog I wan to take here but the way their customer service works, I'll just go somewhere else.”

Special shoutout to Amparo, Dr. Rachel Niu and Misty. I was scrambling to find a vet the day before Thanksgiving and fortunately West Main was able to have me do a drop off for my cat. Consultation and the services/pricing are clearly communicated and transparent. Staff took the time to detail exactly what each services do. West Main closes at 6PM but Dr. Niu still took the time to summarize all the results from the reports and the type of treatment they gave my cat. Not once did I feel rushed to leave and asked me multiple times if I had any questions. Amparo and team even gave a follow up call 2 days later to see how many cat was doing. I couldn't recommend a better team for your pet. They genuinely care about the health of your buddy. Thank you once again everyone at West Main Animal Hospital!”

Dr. Jeff his associate is also excellent!!My little adorable furry baby girl Butters, got sick on Friday morning before the Labor Day holiday. I was soooooo worried, that I wouldn't be able to get her help before the weekend. I called the office and they immediately took action to get us in!! After a quick check, we were given some medicine and we were on our way. They followed up with the test results on Tuesday, and gratefully, Butters is doing great once again!!You need to get on a wait list for the first visit, to establish your pet as a patient. Once you do that, you're pet will be treated like a VIP!!Be prepared because, they don't take credit cards, only checks or cash. Other than that, they're are great!!”

“We have been clients of the amazing Dr. Bliefer for over 25 years. We followed her here when she made it her exclusive location. We used to drive 2 to 2 1/2 hours to get care, now it's 8 hrs but totally worth it. The staff is good, the office has other vets as well and gets VERY BUSY! They do their best to treat every pet and client with care. I agree with another reviews that phone messages and email are not the best way to communicate, you need to talk to a person. Dr. Bleifer is a premier reproductive vet as well as a great diagnostican and we will always value her continuing care.”

“My beautifull cat witewolf and me came running in the door at 3 am ...my kitty had an urinary block and was dying they rushed to immediately take them in back and had to to put him under he was fighting for his life for 3 days in the most complete emergency care with the best doctors ever by his side they were all night and day dedicated to save his life the vet that inserted the catheter and examined meticulously the x rays went thoroughly over the recommendations (called me twice a day) and trying to see what kind of stress caused this misfortune it seems food and another cat and not the right kind of water in the wrong bowls plus the wrong cans contributed to his near death experience plus excruciating pain..THEY SAVED HIS LIFE! these top of the line incredible vets ( I did not know they existed) the receptionists are helpfully kind considerate and make you feel you and your cat are the only ones there! I have my cat home now and he is convalescent it's a true miracle!!!! Because of this really fantastic place I guarantee you will not find such a state of the art group of vets anywhere.”
