26985 CA-1, Tomales“Our room was great. The hotel was clean, convenient and had its own modern style that we enjoyed. The town is small but beautiful, and the nearby bakery and deli were awesome! We were in the area for a wedding, so we didn't get to explore as much as we would have liked. However, Tomales was the perfect spot to use as our home-base. We were also pleased to find that the hotel price was extremely reasonable compared to other options in the surrounding area.”

1345 Bodega Ave, Bodega Bay“Great stay at Bodega Harbor inn! The rooms were clean and fresh smelling, beds comfortable and nice pillows too. This is a great little spot to getaway for an affordable price. It’s a classic beachside motel with no frills. I stayed in room 6, They offer 2 pet-friendly rooms for an additional 25$/night fee. No breakfast but the coffee/tea bar opens around 9 am.
Management is in-and-out, so there isn’t always someone there when you might want them, but expected for a small family owned place. I was able to check out about an hour early at 10 am. The bathroom window did not have a screen and the room could really use a fan for air circulation.
If you’re looking for affordable, easy access to sonoma coast SP, dog friendly and clean and comfortable, this is the place! A great alternative to the fancy villas and resorts elsewhere on this part of the coast/sonoma county. Overall, this was a great spot for my dog and I to spend the night in our favorite sleepy beach town!
Nearby activities: Doran beach, Sonoma coast state park, paddle boarding/kayak in Jenner, 30 mins to occidental, Sebastopol, and Gatlin. Hiking at the Grove of Old Trees ~20 minutes away
Safety: Standard door lock and padlock. All windows (2) lock firmly. Close quarters to other guests but they were mostly families with children and couples.
Food & drinks: Fishetarian is the best food I’ve found in BB, after years of vacationing here. I recommend Sebastopol or Gatlin (wildwood cafe) if you’re looking for a more upscale/quality that isn’t fish and chips or fried prawns.
Noteworthy details: Dog friendly for a fee in 2 of 10 rooms”
“Our stay at Marconi was fantastic. The location is beautiful and feels remote, but you can get amazing food within a few minutes drive. There is wonderful hiking and kayaking nearby, and even a hiking trail on the property. The lodge itself was great - nice rooms, helpful staff, outdoor games, and a cozy fire pit where we had a glass of wine before dinner. I hope to bring kids and friends back in the future!”
“Stayed here a few years back on a 10th wedding anniversary trip.
This area has to be one of the most beautiful places in the US.
One of my all time favorite memories is staying at this B&”

13275 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, Inverness“We rented a cottage with a loft. The cottage was cute, and had everything we needed. We were able to cook a meal one night in the kitchen. Salt and pepper were provided, as well as tea and coffee, and hot chocolate packets for the kids. We had to call housekeeping and request a new sponge to clean dishes, as the one provided was old and stinky. You are required to wash your dishes before checking out so we wanted to have a clean sponge. The loft had two trundle beds for our boys, but it was hot up there, even once it cooled off outside. We had a window open and a fan blowing all night, so it finally cooled off but was cold downstairs. The kids seemed okay but my 12 year old complained a little. I’d recommend this for younger kids who can climb steep stairs without trouble. The beds and bedding were comfortable and having a dining table was nice. The location of the cottage was perfect for all of our adventures while in Point Reyes. We would stay here again.”

16702 Shoreline Hwy, Bodega“I spent a weekend at Sonoma Coast Villa, trying to get away from the city. Due to the weekend, this was the only place hotel that had a room available and I can’t be more grateful. The grounds are beautiful. The continental breakfast was fresh. The room was beautiful. They have a jacuzzi. At night a showing of The Birds was played with some marshmellows. I would definitely stay here again.”

521 Coast Highway #1, Bodega Bay“Because of the attractive price I was a little wary of what it would be like. The room was very new and comfortable. Learning to use the electric fireplace heating system was new to me. It was very quiet. The bathroom was extremely well lighted and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone including a family. There was just two of us.
Nearby activities: The espresso coffee shop is definitely worth visiting, especially if you like coffee in the morning.”
“We stayed here with our toddler for two nights. The cottage was cute, and just the right size. Very clean. The bed was very comfortable, but the sofa sleeper was only ok.
The location was fantastic. Such an easy walk to the beach and we could watch the sunset from our room or the shared patio area.
There aren’t a lot of restaurants nearby. But the small grocery on the property is great. The restaurant wasn’t open during our stay, as they are only open Thursday—Sunday.
Overall, I highly recommend. Good for families or romantic get aways.”
