I put my dog on the lamb recipe after he had a month of horrible stools and he’s doing much better now. About the same price as the raw diet he was on. I walked in and said, ‘HELP’ after a night of dealing with my dog having diarrhea again! They were very helpful and kind regarding the situation. I appreciated their knowledge and feedback. Will be a returning customer. :)

It felt like dropping off my kid at the first day of school. Nervously I waited at home and was very eager to pick her up. When I did she was super happy and looks like a new, clean, confident dog. I’ve noticed a new pep in her step. They even put the cutest pink bow on her.

The Bone Adventure
1629 Superior Ave, Costa MesaI take my dog Bruce to the Bone Backyard every weekday while I'm at work. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in. Bruce goes nuts when we drive into the parking lot and oftentimes I feel like he would rather be at The Bone Adventure than with me! My boy is treated like a king when he is there. I love the Bone Adventure and I can't say enough good things about it. I would highly, highly recommend this place for your dogs to stay for daycare and or boarding.

OMG, I couldn't believe it when I saw him. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Also, Benji's pricing is very fair.

449 W Bay St, Costa MesaMy baby walrus sized dog was paralyzed from the neck down in November. He was a wet noodle. A 130lb sack of potatoes with jello legs. I’m sure we looked crazy too from the shock, and the sleep deprivation. We were referred here by the neurologist after his surgery, and Animal Wellness Center of OC accommodated everything. They booked us in 2x a week, and we showed up religiously. The entire facility celebrated the day Maximus took his first steps.Dr. Ellis is an absolute gem. After meeting Dr. Ellis, I knew we were in the right place. They have a full sized pool, which has been essential in Maximus’ recovery. We also utilize the underwater treadmill now that Max is strong enough to use it. Every session before hydrotherapy, Dr. Ellis lugs my massive dog around doing floor rehab exercises, which I’m positive has not been easy- especially in the beginning.As the weeks went by I kept noticing different modifications they made to accommodate my dog- putting mats down on the ramp to the pool, putting towels down on the scary parts of the floor. I would say at this point they love Maximus almost as much as I do, and they’re just as invested in his recovery as I am.I am so grateful that Lourdes and Barb created this place. Thank you Dr. Ellis and Alexa, Kelly, Lourdes, and everyone else for the hard work you all put in- and continue to put in- rehabbing Maximus. Animal Wellness Center of OC saved his life. Thank you for being part of his village.

They are so honest about what your baby needs, what the options are and they print out an invoice before you pay so you can discuss. Beyond helpful. So glad we found our new doctor for our Nala. Also, not sure if there are more nurses but definitely ask for Marcella. She was the sweetest and so gentle while giving out 3 shots.

I've worked with several dog trainers over many years with my own dogs and with fosters as a volunteer with a rescue. Bryndon is the first I've worked with that I would without hesitation continue to work with and refer. He is creative and helped 2 puppy parents with different styles be successful and confident. 20 minutes into our initial consultation I was comfortable committing to working with Bryndon. He is professional, fully engaged, and showed an immediate impact during the consultation. Bryndon's approach with the human and dog is excellent. No aversive techniques. He taught us how to read our puppy's signals and respond.

Wow Bow Wow Dog Trainer

We did both group and private sessions and she really helped guide us in training coco with items such as recall, drop it and socialization. In the beginning, Coco had severe separation anxiety and she gave us tips that really changed his behavior for the better. I’m the most overprotective dog mom and never leave him with anyone, so a lot of thought and research went into who I wanted to watch my baby. She is so kind, communicative, creative, trustworthy, timely and accommodating. She went out of her way to take my Goldendoodle on fun adventures (they went on an ice cream date where he taste tested different flavors before selecting bacon - so cute) while sending me photos and updates. I can’t recommend her enough - coming home to a happy, tired pup is the best! She loved on him like he was her own and he couldn’t have been happier to see her again after their first outing. Definitely the person to book in the area, you won’t regret it!

Got to sample quite a lot of the flavors and he makes sure you have a great visit! He is very personable and asked where I was from. Said I was from out of town visiting for my birthday and he wished me a happy birthday and went to get some ice packs for my takeout order to make sure the ice creams didn't melt on the drive back to the hotel. He wanted things to be perfect and at optimal temperature, he is so awesome! Although the custard tasted good, it wasn't nearly as good as Rita's in my opinion and there wasn't that velvety, moose-like consistency that I've known frozen custard to have. The ice cream flavors were top notch though and I'd recommend coming here for those alone!

Both times have been tasty! First time there I got a Citrus Chicken Taco, a Pork Belly Taco and order of chips and salsa. The blue corn tortillas had good flavor, but unfortunately started to have structural failure 1/2 way through eating. The salsa had a nice flavor and was mild (to me) which ment the entire table could enjoy it. This time I tried the Peppered Rib Eye Steak Taco, this time on their flour tortilla. The steak was so tender and flavorful and the garlic aioli and lemon arugula was a good complimemt.

Tres Muchachos Seafood Grill
333 E 17th St #14, Costa MesaWe ordered the 1) charbroiled fish burrito 2) the charbroiled fish taco and chicken enchilada meal and 3) guacamole and chips from Tres Muchachos. Overall, we are impressed with the quality of the food. Their prices are a bit higher than some of their competitors in our neighborhood, but the quality and taste of the food helps justify the slightly higher prices. The charbroiled fish burrito is $12.60 and is pretty good. The white fish doesn't have a strong flavor, but it is moist and not 'fishy'. You can add beans and rice which is complimentary and adds more flavor to the burrito. The charbroiled fish taco and enchilada is delicious. It comes with rice and beans on the side as well for $13.25. They give you a pretty big piece of fish in the taco. The enchilada with green sauce is good, but the chicken bits are slightly chewy and cut in pieces rather than the usual shredded chicken style. The guacamole and chips are $10. The chips are crispy and the guacamole has a nice creamy texture. The guacamole is tasty, but slightly on the blander side. Overall, it's a good restaurant and we go regularly because they are consistent with their quality.

Blue Bowl Superfoods

I love how there's a set price depending on the size you get and then you can load it up with as many things as you want. Everything is super well balanced and nothing is on the super sweet end. I think they do a great job making sure you can taste the core flavors of their specific item like for the açaí it's not watered down or too sugary so the integrity of the açaí is still in place. Blue bowl has always been my standard for açaí bowls. It's a great value for the price and it's super tasty everytime no matter which location you go to. We came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was a little bit of a line. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Parking in this center isn't too bad but there's a lot of retail so it can be hard to find sometimes.
