“This hardware store is pure vintage, so cool, so full of things, even the gum machines at the front are pure nostalgia. I was with the boyfriend in Coronado some weeks back and he needed to buy some items. They did not have what he was looking for but the customer service was outstanding, we spend a great time actually checking how well organize was everything and thinking how do they managed to know where everything goes. The signage in the facade is very nice, like everything in Coronado, colorful and retro.”

“These guys can do anything! Jose is the man! I needed a spa pump to be fixed. Repair guys came out. They don't make these pumps anymore, so they are talking about building a new pump with 2 pumps, I guess it's complicated. So I bring it in to Chick's and within 2 minutes, he replaced an outside motor thingie that didn't work anymore and he was just going to charge me for the part. Since this was a beast to get out, I asked what I could do to make sure everything works going forward. They did that service that I can't remember the name of and even spray painted the pump so it was all the same color. I wish they could help me with more stuff around my house. They are honest and trustworthy!”

Unlike the employees from the ace hardware in La Jolla where they rude and discriminated against me and my friend. I Definitely would come back to this location if need something and not the one in La Jolla location with all the ignorant and racist employees.”

“Staff was friendly and found the metric bolt that I needed I went to several stores and even ordered off of Amazon but was sent the wrong size :(. I visited several other fastener place some had 100 quantity minimum. Others had to order from LA and was quoted $25 for a box. United had the size I needed and the price was awesome.50 each so 10 bolts for about $5 buck.”

“Wish they were open a bit later (they close at 4:30 so they cater to more of the professional population vs the regular guy who likes to fix things themselves), but they are a life save of a store. They have almost every single hard to get plumbing item known to man. Also the employees are amazingly knowledgeable and helpful. You will not be sorry you went here for what you need. I didn't catch the gentleman's name that helped me, but he was able to find exactly what I was looking for in no time. Price was cheaper than if I had bought some ready-made chinesium set from an auto parts store or a Harbor Freight. Will certain be back the next time I need something.”

“Pell Mell is a highly organized, well devoloped machine. I have gone thereas a last ditch with some highly specialized, exotic hardware and they had it! Mostly their model is huge manufacturing orders so it 's hard for them to stop and grab three screws. Great guys though and very patient.”
