Climate Hub, 3900 Cleveland Ave, San Diego“Hammond’s management of the Solar Moonshot grant made Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue’s application experience and receipt of the grant a delight. Our liaison, Maya, always responded promptly and with specific descriptions of needed follow up information. Our interview was a true conversation and instrumental in informing our grant submission. Grant funds were transferred quickly and the entire process, from application to award, was astonishingly fast. Thank you Maya and Hammond!”
“We are so thankful to have chosen Kanes K9 rescue when deciding to adopt our first pup! We immediately got a response when reaching out to see if “Leia” was available and if we could go see her. We drove up to Alpine to see her and a bunch of other cute doggies and see how they interacted with each other and us. We were in love immediately. They made it a very easy process and answered all our questions. When we were having some issues with our landlord before pick-up they understood and showed no frustration when we had to delay a few days before bringing her home. They truly care about all their rescues and finding a good home for them. She came spayed and chipped which was very nice. If it wasn’t our first dog together we very well would have came home with more! Here we are 4 months later just as in love and excited to have our girl. Best decision ever. Can’t give enough thanks to Kanes K9 team for bringing this light of our life into our lives!!!”
“They try to help people get clothes however none of the clothes they gave me fit me I'm very slider tall long arms long legs over size heart everything is big”
“I was so impressed with the three day Academy. Not only was it totally worth the money, but Dominique runs her business with such grace and generosity. Super grateful and will recommend this certification course far and wide.”

885 Gateway Center Way space 103, San Diego“I was pleasantly surprised at the work done on 6/24-27/24. The staff were professional and concerned about doing the work properly. They knew what to do, and wasted no time getting things done. They showed self discipline, and perseverance. I would recommend them to anyone! Thank you Campesinos Unidos”
“I got married last month at the cottage and we had a great experience. We were mostly in contact with Patty for planning and coordinating the wedding and rehearsal. We had about 80 guests and it was perfect for the location. Patty and Nancie were very communicative and accommodating. There are plenty of airbnbs to stay at nearby and plenty of beautiful views. Parking can be a bit difficult, so carpool or uber if possible but there are 7 spots right in front. Being able to set up first thing in the morning was super helpful. A week before the wedding we did a last walk through and noticed an arch was broken which we were planning to use. Patty and her husband got it fixed before the wedding, so thank you! The only thing that was unexpected was the city dumped a ton of sand in the month of NOV so that was in the background. And they stored all of their equipment behind a green tarp across from the venue. That made it difficult for wedding photos. Other than that, it was a beautiful wedding.”
“This place is so cool!! It houses ill and injured soldiers who are being released from active duty due to various circumstances. Each warrior gets a cottage to call home.
They are given the ability to get enrolled in college or a tradeschool,to play wheelchair basketball as well as hunt and fish. they are close enough to Balboa Naval hosp so they can get to and from appointments, they are mentored and guided all along the way! What a great way to honor those who put themselves out there in harms way. This organization also takes no government funding. everything is donor funded as well as lots of fundraising. They have an amazing volunteer force that gives of their time and knowledge to achieve goals. They are getting ready to launch Freedom Station 3 in August of 2024. This is just incredible!!!”

1033 Garnet Ave, San Diego“Randall is the best! Not only is he super knowledgeable about his products, but goes the extra mile to provide top notch customer service. For us that was cutting the plastic piece holding the sandals together so that we could comfortably try on the sandals. It was also providing coloring pages and crayons to our kids while we shopped. I also appreciated the other local brands that he carries and supports, from sunglasses to beach towels. It’s clear that Randall cares his community and is a quintessential small PB business. For an authentic San Diego experience, look no further than Randall’s Sandals.”
“Worked with 2nd Chance when I was searching for my current dog. They were responsive and helpful. Really liked going to their events and connecting with foster families about potential dogs to adopt. I did not find my forever pooch with them, but it was not their fault in any way! If the right dog had been there, I would have moved forward happily.”
“Healthy scriptural foundation, relatable and practical preaching. Awesome culture and atmosphere. I love the ethnic mix. Annointed praise and worship, a place to come as you are, and be restored and loved”
“I went here to get food for my family and they didn't make me feel less than. Actually they were very kind and respectful. Looking inside the church looks beautiful. I hope to attend one day.”

“Pride is a protest, but it's also a party. And San Diego knows how to party. Pride weekend warms up with a high-spirited 5K Walk/Run, swells into a vibrant Parade, and finishes with a massive Festival at Balboa Park. It's non-profit and volunteer-run, but not the kind where you pity clap for school bands and cringe at another rendition of YMCA. SD Pride Fest is at least as well-organized as any for-profit event. The 5 stages feature breakout and underground artists who sound good, current, and represent the LGBTQIA+ community. The festival is set up on the Balboa Dr. loop which allows you to see all booths, vendors, and stages without having to double back. Does wonders for the flow of foot traffic. Free parking is only a mile away with shuttle service. The lines for drinks are shockingly short. They say they have 25 bars, and I totally believe it. The price is shocking too though at $25 for a double shot margarita, but it's a festival so.. Multiple ID checking stations distributing wristbands are conveniently scattered throughout. Pride is a party, but it's also a purpose. It's positive, uplifting, and affirming. The theme this year is Thrive!, a message that in the face of new adversities, standing on the shoulders of those who came before us, we can do more than just survive.”
10AM - 5PM
1875 El Prado, San Diego“As a person with a disability, I saw on the website that they offered wheelchairs. The science center is not that big and could be easily navigated with my rolling walker. We did get one of the wheelchairs but is was very small. They do have a larger wheelchair but at the time someone else was using it at that time. They also offer a free companion ticket if you have a disability. The science center is geared more toward children. We ended up seeing 2 of the IMAX movies; one was included in the admission price and the other was $9.95 per person. There is a section for those with disabilities and the theater staff was very accommodating.”

Would recommend to tourists and first timers to San Diego to visit. San Diego zoo is right next to the park too.”
“Wow. Was this donation easy. You pull right up to the back of the building. The bins are there and clearly labeled and open for your donations. There are people there to help you unload and sort. They can give you a physical receipt or there is a QR code to scan and fill out, then they send you an electronic receipt to your email. Seriously the fastest and easiest donation site ever! And the people who help are super helpful and very sweet!!”
