“Hammond’s management of the Solar Moonshot grant made Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue’s application experience and receipt of the grant a delight. Our liaison, Maya, always responded promptly and with specific descriptions of needed follow up information. Our interview was a true conversation and instrumental in informing our grant submission. Grant funds were transferred quickly and the entire process, from application to award, was astonishingly fast. Thank you Maya and Hammond!”

“Outdoor time in San Diego. We did a short hike here last week, but it's possible to get lots of miles if you have the time; there are more than 8,000 acres of natural and developed recreational areas here. From the parking lot, you can follow an asphalt path that meanders down. There are numerous trails that shoot off from the main one. We followed it until we got to the Old Mission Dam and then took the trail there until we got to a bridge. The flowing water, the fresh air, and the sounds of nature all combined to make this a terrific morning outside. Parking is free, and there are restrooms at the visitor center. We'll definitely be back.”

“First time in the store. Super cute store. Easy to find. We found some great gems. It was my friend's daughter birthday. The staff was super friendly and excited we were celebrating a birthday. Birthday girl got 20% discount. The clothes are priced well. Very clean and organized. I'm so happy we found this place. We will definitely return to buy and make donations.”

“I had my wedding at MBWC this past July and I had a great experience. The club is in a great location in Mission Beach and there are many vacation rentals and hotels nearby for guests to stay at. Nancie was my main contact with the venue and she was so kind and extremely quick to answer my emails and questions. Lori gave us the tour of the club and we ended up hiring her to do our bouquets and table arrangements as well as day of coordinating and she was great. The flowers were exactly what I wanted and she really helped make our day run smoothly. I loved the fact that we were able to bring in outside vendors, which was the main selling point for my husband and I. I would definitely recommend MBWC.”

“I recently adopted a beautiful kitty named Miso from Kane's K9. But I had to return him after three months due to my health. I was so devastated as I had bonded and loved my little guy! I worried what would happen to him. Lacy knew how upset I was and was very caring and reassuring that he would be re-adopted into a new home, or she would adopt him herself. She truly gave it her all, and it wouldn't take too long before Miso was re-adopted into his new home. Lacy, thank you for all you did, and for sending me pictures of Miso, to show me how well he is doing! I will be forever grateful to you, Lacy you are the best! I highly recommend Kane's K9 for any adoptions!”

“I am so grateful for FACE Foundation. My Cane Corso pup had surgery on her eye that stemmed from a hereditary condition. Without treatment could have resulted in the loss of her eye. The FACE foundation was quick to respond to our application and made the whole process easier for us to get the care my girl needed. Miss Fiona and I thank you so much for the wonderful support and assistance you have provided us. ❤️”

“I've come here 2 years in a row now with my kids on a school field trip. It's very impressive how they put together a miniature town with businesses, town responsibilities, even a judge and sanitation. There's a radio station, a news station, newspaper, veterinarian, rotary club, and a ton of other businesses that the kids can work at. We were only here for a day, but learning how to set budgets, pay bills, collect debts, and run a business in a town is done through well planned and organized instruction after which the kids take over and run the place. They even have custom software set for all the businesses where they can do online bill pay between each other as well as run their business. Very impressive! The staff Is kind, thorough, and patient. This is an impressive educational opportunity, from the one day field trip to the weeklong business exercise. Highly recommended!!”

“Joining IADAC was single handedly the best thing I've done as a new dealer. The help provided, and amazing perks are worth the membership and then some! I didn't know how much I didn't know, until they helped educate me. I'm constantly asking for help and advice and they are very willing to help.”

“Worked with 2nd Chance when I was searching for my current dog. They were responsive and helpful. Really liked going to their events and connecting with foster families about potential dogs to adopt. I did not find my forever pooch with them, but it was not their fault in any way! If the right dog had been there, I would have moved forward happily.”

“Had a wonderful experience with this company. The different people I spoke with or worked with in getting our home set up for the energy weatherization program were very helpful and polite While it took several months, from getting qualified for an assistance program to getting windows and furnace installed plus other things done for our home we were very grateful and happy with the work done. Julio and Jorge worked hard to get our older mobile home weatherized and set for the winter. Definitely would recommend them.”

“As a person with a disability, I saw on the website that they offered wheelchairs. The science center is not that big and could be easily navigated with my rolling walker. We did get one of the wheelchairs but is was very small. They do have a larger wheelchair but at the time someone else was using it at that time. They also offer a free companion ticket if you have a disability. The science center is geared more toward children. We ended up seeing 2 of the IMAX movies; one was included in the admission price and the other was $9.95 per person. There is a section for those with disabilities and the theater staff was very accommodating.”

“MashAllah really clean prayer space and spacious parking area. Carpets were SUPER soft. Can be a bit hard to find, I believe there’s another way to enter via a private road so be weary of that. Also only certain doors to the musala are unlocked throughout the day for anybody praying while traveling.”

“We just received a info-card in the mail sharing an exciting tradition we were unaware of. "Send a Warrior Home for the Holidays".Donate to enable our brave and courageous men and women to fly our ill and recovering troops home for the Holidays. We are in our 70's, we have no children and extended family have more than they will ever appreciate. Now think of the emotional lifting of their spirits in the impact that we can make for these brave and courageous men and women by redirecting dollars spent on trinkets for family members to those who have given years of their lives and, in many cases, limbs, for us, so that they may see their families at this most glorious times of the year. Some military men and women, due to the severity of their injuries, have been unable, in the past, to visit their families by themselves. This program, Send a Warrior Home for the Holidays, now makes that possible!Think about the opportunity you are being afforded: sending someone who may not have seen family in years, home for the Holidays. Please don't let them spend another Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa [forgive me if I've left a Holiday season out!] alone and relying on emails or phone calls for family contact.Holiday Blessing to them and to you for your generous spirit!”

“All small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs should take advantage of this space! Podcast service, media rooms, conference rooms, and plenty of desk space. Not only are the amenities great, there is a strong possibility that you will run into other entrepreneurs with similar interests (networking).”

“Randall is the best! Not only is he super knowledgeable about his products, but goes the extra mile to provide top notch customer service. For us that was cutting the plastic piece holding the sandals together so that we could comfortably try on the sandals. It was also providing coloring pages and crayons to our kids while we shopped. I also appreciated the other local brands that he carries and supports, from sunglasses to beach towels. It’s clear that Randall cares his community and is a quintessential small PB business. For an authentic San Diego experience, look no further than Randall’s Sandals.”

“The Fleet Science Center is located in Balboa Park, right across from the Natural History Museum. It has many interactive exhibits, and a dedicated toddler play area (under age 5 maybe) in the upper level. A great place for kids and adults who live, breathe and love STEM like myself. During our visit, not all of the exhibits were active, so they offered deals like discounted fares or free future tickets with 1-yr expiration. Our 3yo son had a blast here, and he seemed more engaged than the science museums in the Bay Area (California Academy of Sciences, Lawrence Hall of Science). Favorite areas:* The Kid Play City on the second floor. Computer stations and a play grocery/mercado with giant plastic fruits and vegetables to sort, place in shopping carts, and even conveyor belts. They even have signs with parenting tips. Kids don't develop strong empathy and learn to share toys until age 7 for example, LOL!* I enjoyed the section on Energy, Climate Change, and Water treatment. It's basically describes my job for the past 23 years and the exhibits do a fine job of explaining the facts of the complex issues. * The indoor tornado was cool - I'm sure you can get some selfies here. The museum also offers in and out privileges, which was awesome since we took a lunch break offsite. They have a small cafe onsite with limited food options.”

“Love the place. They offer ice skating lessons for both kids and adults. After our first visit, I signed my son up for a class, 12 lessons and 12 guest passes for $288. I have recommended the class to several friends. They all signed up immediately. My son and I very much look forward to more skating fun.”

“Friend of Bill W. here :)If you want to get and stay sober,- just deal with the process here, don't whine and criticize it. That's just making excuses and shows lack of willingness to do what it takes to stay sober. So what for minor inconveniences? Were we inconvenienced and disappointed during our active addictions? Uh, yah, every day :)Please: It only works if you work it. And you truly are worth it!For many years I've been attending local meetings with members who've achieved long term, quality sobriety that began at Metamorphosis. It's not easy, but it's a simple program for us complicated people. Peace and good health to all, Joni L.”
