“I originally was going there for a regular maintenance and wheel alignment but later found out had many issues with my car. The service tech, Mark, was really informative about the problems they found and details about the costs and work that had to be done. I know most people will say it’s a gimmick to make the customer spend more, but my car had over 90k miles and I never had anyone do a detail checkup. It has been over two weeks and definitely feel the car drives better and smoother. 10/10 would go back for any future services.”
“I've driven past this shop 1000 times, and when my college age kids come back for Thanksgiving , they always tell me that the cars need an oil change or a smog or something, and I have to scramble to meet their schedules and mine. So these guys were super friendly and super reasonable, and the smog was completed before I realized, even though there were a few people ahead of me when I got there originally, the smog went super quick. I'm definitely not going anywhere else for smog again. I also made an appointment to have them service my son's Hyundai early next week as well. I tried to call the Hyundai dealer for an appointment since the car has a 100,000 mile warranty in case they find anything wrong but they don't even answer their phone. For maintenance things, I'd rather not pay the dealer prices anyway, so I'll follow up on how the service goes since I'm bringing in the car for the first time, but I'm hopeful I found my go-to mechanic shop. (Just moved to San Bruno three years ago and know how important a good mechanic shop is, and they are hard to find, so fingers crossed!)”

I've called for simple advice, I've called needing small odd jobs, I've called needing tires mounted, and I've called him for bigger jobs. Tamm always delivers - he actually cares about his customers and their cars. Him and staff know their way around a wide variety of cars, too. Pretty impressive.
Prices are always fair and he's always super nice. I like to think I know at least a little bit about cars and I've never seen an upsell from the guy. Just a good and honest mechanic. My friends and I all have brought our cars by at some point, and we've never left disappointed.”

“No fun having to get your car repaired but Fix Auto Divisadero made it a very good experience. A quick, thorough inspection (even suggested I wait in Starbucks across the street. Thoughtful). Called me just over 30 minutes in, then explained what they found, saw, expected in terms of overall repairs and costs, explained that there may be hidden damage and then provided cost and repair time estimates. I gave the go ahead. It did go a little beyond both ways but they were so good about keeping me informed and in the end, it was a reasonable wait and my car looks like new. Highly recommended!”

“I was stranded in Santa Rosa when, unexpectedly, there was an ABCmalfunction as indicated on the dash display, and my car's steering was disabled. It was 40 miles to the dealership in San Rafael, California. AAA's tow truck (Norcal Supreme Towing) was there in about a half hour. Loading my Mercedes onto the flat bed and tying it down took less than 15 minutes and we were on our way with me as a passenger in the cab. The driver and I had an extremely enjoyable conversation on the way back. I've had this experience more than a few times in the past and it has always been awful. This time, however, and unbelievably, I found myself enjoying the entire experience, awed by the driver's ability to do his job quickly and efficiently as well as his exuberant personality and friendly attitude. First time taking my car in for service in SF, due to a change of ownership to the last place I usually take my car to. (It was in the East Bay) I came across this business through searching on Yelp. I feel like his quote was reasonable. Came in for motor oil & break fluid maintenance. Dropped my car off at 10:30am & got my car back at 4:30pm the same day! I also like that Sokol provides a list of detailed recommendations/reminders, because I'm definitely not a car person. lol. Thanks Sokol!”
