People helping people is what this store is all about. It is so nice to have a thrift store in the Claremont Village. All proceeds are donated to local organizations that help people. It’s a great way to contribute to the community…donating extra stuff and shopping here both help people in need.

Small, cozy thrift store. There are not so many clothes for young men, but interesting accessories and pottery were there.
Claremont’s Economy Shop at 325 West 1st Street, is a non-profit thrift store. It is managed and staffed entirely by volunteers. All proceeds are granted to local organization that help area residents needing assistance. The Shop welcomes community donations of clean slightly used clothing, toys, dishware, small appliances, household furnishings, holiday items, and decorative items. All merchandise that does not sell in a timely manner is distributed to other non-profit charities. Volunteers are welcome and volunteer applications are available at the Shop. Volunteers have built a 91 year history of giving to others. See our web page.
