“My daughter just finish been in preschool with Miss Helen, and I have to say that within the few weeks of her starting she learn how to spell her name and started to identify the shapes and etc and also been more interactive with her classmates as she was shy at first because of the language barrier but everything worked out amazing she even learn more English and she felt more confident. Miss Helen's prioritizes safety of the children and manages classroom dynamics. She truly cares about the students and works hard to make sure everyone is happy and is learning. I am beyond happy from all that she learn been with Miss Helen since 2021-2023. As now that she is in kindergarten her teachers are very happy on how she strives.”

“When we first moved to Castro Valley, Pilgrim had an immediate opening for my child and we feel so lucky to have come across this school and have had a wonderful experience here. They are committed to providing a a safe and welcoming space for the kids and I have appreciated everything that they do to accommodate parents who work full time, including great hours (7am-6pm which is hard to come by), they provide two nutritious snacks a day, all at a very reasonable tuition. I also appreciate that during COVID, they were very sensible with their protocol, balancing health and safety of kids but also recognizing that parents need to work. Director Ms. Shelly and teacher Ms. Christy are the kindest people and the rest of the staff and teachers all genuinely care for the kids and my child has learned so much. The school is rapidly growing but is still a relatively small size so it is not overwhelming for the little ones. I highly recommend PLA!”

“We have had our daughter at this preschool for over a year now. It has been a wonderful experience. The staff and owner are so very kind and flexible with my daughter's outside class schedule. They are attentive to all the children and their individual needs. My duaghter has blossomed in their care, going from being very shy and not talking much a year ago to now, where she is talkative, assertive, and engaging in classroom activities. She comes home everyday with a smile on her face and completed class projects to show me (crafts, drawing, painting, etc.). I am so glad we were able to find this place to take care of my daughter while her parents are at work.”

“I loved Happiness Hill so much that I sent my son 5 years later. He was loved and cared for. I was so sad when he graduated but he was prepared for kindergarten and loves to learn. This school has been a blessing for our family.”

“Our Lady of Grace School is an excellent school. It is in the top 25% of all Catholic schools in the diocese. The students have the highest test scores of the five schools that make up the area cluster and they are scoring significantly higher in both Language Arts and Math. The staff and the students are very diverse. The students receive a great academic education in addition to learning moral values. It is truly worth checking out. You and your child/children will be so happy you did.”

“Great track open to the public after school hours! The track is well maintained throughout the year. There may be students with sports practices on the field or using the track so I do recommend going after 5pm.”
