“Close to freeway and grocery stores and convenience. The place was nice and comfy and did the trick for staying practical. GOOD PRICE and nice rooms and people were nice in office.”
“Very conveniently located right next to the San Francisco bay Oakland airport, across the bay from San Francisco, with hwy access to downtown Oakland and San Jose
Hotel is very clean and comfortable. Lots of parking available (at a cost per night)
Rooms are spacious and very nice.
A basic breakfast is available as well every morning, coffee, tea, scrambled eggs, toast etc. Nothing to lavish, but does the trick if you are looking for a hotel with breakfast in the morning.”

“There people are above and beyond in providing great service. I really appreciate how the staff of this Extended Stay America made our families 4 days stay so pleasant and relaxing. Only one thing is that I didn't like is that they don't have secure WiFi and for that reason I couldn't use my company's VPN, I had to use my phone's hotspot, for that reason I am giving 4 star rating. Thank you to all the staff for your excellent service!!”

“Perfect for what I needed. Clean. Comfortable enough, the hot tub was pleasant and the coffee was pretty good for a motel, and available at all times in the lobby (as well as in room). The Target and Dollar tree were great for picking up the things I needed, and food options I could pick up.”
“This was a really good stay, the staff members are very attentive and friendly, there's a great continental breakfast available every morning and you can call the lobby at any time for your needs.
It is right next to the highway, but the trees around the hotel did a good job blocking it out and helping muffle the sound so it wasn't really an issue. Other than that it's a great location ans very close to many resturaunts, stores and other sights in danville and just a 30 minute drive to Oakland and San fransisco”

“Location is excellent but interior of rooms is very old. Rooms look old, nothing seems latest.
Noteworthy details: Interiors are old, rooms are small”
“Best kept secret for a safe, quality and affordable room in Oakland! I have stayed here at least a half dozen times over the past few years and have always enjoyed this place. This visit I experienced exceptional service from Emoni at the front desk - very peasant and professional young lady. Great room this time too … attached photos of the serene view from my balcony.”
“A good hotel, it is desperate for an update I’m afraid. Good room, clean bedding and towels. Small bathroom, tub structure is done. Water pools in the middle and will not drain. Toilet flushing can make you nervous, will it drain? Fingers crossed. Get a room towards the back if you can, road noise is bad towards the front of the building”

“It’s one of the best Marriott that I’ve stayed at and I have to say that the staff at the front desk are there was nothing that wasn’t too much for them to sort out. The MC is great and I would stay there over and over again.”

“Last summer I visited the Bay Area for a weekend to see the Oakland A's and decided to stay here because of some of the things they offered. I am glad I did. Some things to mention:
-About 5 minutes from the airport. They offer free shuttle service to and from Oakland Airport from 6am-9pm.
-Parking is $18 per day. If you choose not to rent a car, they also offer shuttle service to the San Leandro BART as well as other nearby businesses. Check with them to confirm times.
This place may be slightly outdated but it has a charm. My experience was enjoyable, the pros easily outweighed the cons. I loved the staff. I especially want to mention shuttle drivers Ramon, Luis & Gustavo who went above & beyond. The marina was not in use but there are plenty of beautiful views. There's a golf course nearby. Relatively safe area, just be aware. Your standard room comes with a mini fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, free wifi etc. They leave you a bottle of water daily. There was no silverware despite it being mentioned on their site. They have complimentary breakfast - bagels, cereal, packaged pastries, milk, juice...it'll do. They also offer a complimentary cookie later in the day, a few types to choose from. Comfy bed. Bit of a small bathroom, the shower was a little narrow. There are a couple restaurants within walking distance down the lot. I believe this is one of the better choices of where to stay in the Oakland/San Leandro area, I would recommend staying at the Marina Inn.”

“I had the opportunity to stay here through a program the VA referred me too in order to get have temporary housing while we explore other options. The motel is run by what appears to be a family. They all work together, each taking different shifts in order to better assist their guests 24/7. They were always on top of whatever there was facing them that day. I ended up staying here just under 60 days and it went by in the blink of an eye. The property has amazing views of the hills that overlook Oakland and SF. You can even look at the Temple located on Temple Hill. At night the views are amazing.
The area is peaceful. This part of MacArthur Blvd is nice. I’ve walked around to local stores and laundry facilities and have had no issues. It’s a quiet, simple place that you can lay your head down and enjoy yourself. My room was great sized and modern. The shower had great hot water and amazing pressure. I always had clean towels too- something I always find of importance. The bed was comfortable and the tv always worked.
The owners employ a young couple who are fairly new parents. They are worth every penny the owners pay them as they take care of everything down to the smallest detail. The gentleman always greeted me with a smile. His wife also acknowledged me daily with a smile.
For some reason, I am finding it difficult to leave here. I’ve felt apart of their family. If I ever need a place to stay or can refer anyone to a hotel- I will always say the Highlander Motel.”
“My favorite thing about this hotel is the location near all the restaurants in proximity to the office. I typically stay here when I come to town and have never been disappointed. Not saying there haven't been issues, but when there are they were quickly resolved.”

“Good for the price. Pretty clean. Little shabby but really quite fine. Comfortable bed. Wifi was pretty bad but my hotspot works and i don't really expect wifi at this price.”
“Friendly service, quite location, stores nearby. The rooms vary but even the basic room is worth the price. They're clean enough rooms for being a cheap extended stay hotel, like a dive hotel if you will. I never seen a bug there yet, so that's a good sign. Air conditioning, and a TV are in all rooms. They have a good ice machine. they have refrigerator, microwave and a stove top oven for a few bucks more if you need or want that. You can pay for up to week all at once or add on before check out if you need another day. For what the cost is I think it's a very decent and modest hotel. It's a life saver if you're looking at dire straits ahead of you. Less then half a day's work at minimum wage gets you a night and that's piece of mind if your surviving day by day. The only thing is I just wish they would open the pool.. not for the stuck up, silver spoon fed, picky, can't stand a stain or two on the carpet or drapes or those who pretend to be of a higher class bracket than their current situation presents. So if you're one that thinks motel 6 is to low of a standard for you to stay in then go spend an extra 20 to 50 bucks for no real reason other than pride and stay some place else that is no different. Remember looks don't mean a thing, and stop pretending you're above staying at the most adorable place when money is tight, your pride will break you. Humble yourself, accept reality and toughen up and do the smart thing and be happy for a change. You'll feel better in the long run.. to conclude great place to utilize when times are hard and if you're honest with yourself and work towards a better future this place can help you safe your cash and the piece of mind needed to progress. I'd suggest staying there even if you're doing alright just to progress even faster.. only the strong survive and those that survive the hard times have a chance at living.”

“I stayed here for a work trip for just one night and booked through our employee booking system. I arrived much earlier than the regular check in time and didn't have high expectations of getting into a room right away. The staff was very friendly and though they didn't have a room ready right away, they did have one within 20 minutes of my arrival and got me checked in early with ease. The room I stayed in was a single King room. It was spacious and clean and had a mini fridge and the air conditioning worked really well. The shower had good water pressure, was clean and had soaps and conditioner attached to the wall. There is some street noise that you can hear from the rooms but it wasn't bad from my room. One of my coworkers said it was a bit louder from her room. They also have parking for free in their surface lot. The parking does get crowded in the evening but I was able to find a spot. The lobby area is spacious and has a lot of table and comfortable lounge seating. There is also a cafe/bar area that looked small but does the trick. I checked out early the next day and didn't have any issues. I would stay here again if I had more business in the area.”

“Booked for a weekend getaway and couldn’t have asked for more. The check-in was smooth, room was upgraded without us even asking and everything felt warm and homey. Highly recommended.”
“This hotel is down-to-earth, cheap and clean. The bathtub is a bit old and the heater hums and feels familiar. The washbasin, floor and windows are all clean. Although there is no refrigerator, slippers or anything like that, in today’s America, what else do we need at such a price? Traveling across thousands of mountains and rivers, you only have one night to stay. Wake up tomorrow and continue your journey.”

“Nice size room fitted bed sheet is extremely rough, needed to sleep on the top sheet with comforter. This happens from washing these items in extra hot water, bleach and no softener.
Bed was a bit softer than the previous night which I stayed in a Holiday Inn hotel not express. That bed was extremely hard.
Location is not bad, really didn't hear much noise.
Shower temperature and water pressure was perfect.
Towels and bit rough.
Wifi was strong in my room.
Good business choice for overnight stay.
Tasty breakfast too. ?”
