“I’ve been coming to Pete’s for about five years— shame on me for not writing a review sooner!
Today was another example of the great service provided here. I brought in a badly damaged lamp. Mike examined it, explained what it needed, and gave assurance that it could be repaired by their store expert, Jack. A few hours later, I received the call that the repair was complete, I was able to meet and thank Jack in person for his excellent work.
The cost was surprisingly low, yet Jack wouldn’t hear of taking more money for his labor. How often nowadays do you get gracious and skilled help at a bargain price?

“For many years they have had the parts I can't find in of the local harware stores. They even have the seals to rebuild angle stops, which I like to do because I don't have to disconnect the in and out water lines.”

“The women who work here are so knowledgeable about plastics! I had a polyethylene water tank needing repair and they had all the right advice. The trick being heat (flame) treating the plastic before the repair is attempted. Appreciate this so much!”

“Pg&e reported that power was going to be off from 8am to 5 pm today (02 15 24) ... I went to start my generator around 8 am and it was not not running right at all, I took it to HK engine and they had it back to me repaired in 90 minutes to 2 hours top! They gave me priority because they knew the power was out at my house... Fantastic business!!!”

“My boyfriend and I stop by here at least a couple times a month because it's close to his place, we both like supporting local businesses, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. When it came time to upgrade his grill, my boyfriend wanted to patronize the Moraga Ace. He had spent a couple of weeks researching grills, and we went to several stores to look at their inventory. In the end, the grill we chose was not in stock at Moraga Ace, so the owner, Bill, worked with us directly to order the grill. He and his staff assembled and delivered the grill, then Bill gave us several tips on where to put the grill in the backyard and made sure that we were both comfortable connecting and disconnecting the propane tank, turning the propane on, and lighting the various burners. Then he gave us a few tips about how to grill different types of meats and veggies! He even threw in a complimentary long-handled grill brush. Later that weekend, we dropped in for some non-grill-related items and Bill made sure to greet us and ask how the new grill was working out for us. :)”
“Had an issue at home, water supply had be be shut down! Went to lowes and home depot and didn't even carry thr supplies I needed?! Time crunch for a customer that wasn't gonna be happy!! WHCI Plumbing supply company in Union City is the Solution! They had all I needed without wasting time at the local supply stores and finishing the job! Definitely my primary supply outlet!! “Every time I shop at harbor freight I have a good experience. The only problem I have is they have a female employee that’s kind of rude and she smells real bad. But other than that I like everyone that works there. Especially the one African American young lady that’s a cashier there I love her she is very helpful and nice and kind.”

“Last week, I purchased a pizza slicer from another store, but it broke when I attempted to use it. I came to Laurel Ace to get a replacement because I know that its products are sturdy.
Marcos, the associate who assisted me, not only directed me to the proper aisle, but, to my surprise and gratification, TESTED the slicer to make sure that it would hold up! As if this wasn't enough, I also told me that I could bring it back if I had any problems.
I ALWAYS get great service at my neighborhood Ace, but young Marcos is among the BEST associates who I've ever been blessed to deal with. You can NEVER lose by going to Laurel Ace, particularly if he assists you.”

“Clean, well-organized warehouse. Friendly sales staff. I came in on a weekday afternoon looking for a couple of rolls of plastic sheeting. Matt T. walked me over to the right section and even helped load the super-heavy boxes in my truck bed. I was happy to be in and out in a few minutes. They have an in-house repair facility and a large outdoor power tool section I plan to check out next time I stop by.”

“This place is a hidden gem! I urgently needed some kitchen supplies for a renovation mixup, and everywhere local was out of stock, or didn't have good options. I found a great sink I needed on their website, and realized they had some in stock at the San Leandro location. I called to find out if they were open to the public, and they are! Everyone from the operator, to the sales person, to the people at the front counter were all so friendly! Great options from lower to high end, and well worth the drive out there. Highly recommend.”

“Live near by - It is a nice friendly neighborhood store but they are kinda pricey. However, every month I stop by to get my pooches dog food. For some odd reason they are the cheapest on Call of the Wild dog food. It is a high quality dog food and I was shocked they carried it, and even more shocked to find that it is cheaper here than anywhere else I have seen. As long as they are around I will be there once a month to purchase my bag of food. Also handy for quick little items you need like glue, keys, bolts or nuts.”
