“A few weeks ago my wife and I were on the way to breakfast and we realized that we were behind on our oil change. We had never been to Scotty's, but we have heard many good things about the shop. We called the shop and we were told they were booked for a couple of weeks, but if we came in right away they could get us in and out. We dropped what we were doing and we headed over there. It was amazing service and the team was so nice and helpful. When we got there Dave recommended a couple of breakfast places since we were already on the way to breakfast. The oil change was done a few minutes after we got back from breakfast. From the beginning to the end: the service, professionalism and price were the best that I could have asked for in any shop. “Great experience from beginning to end. I called the shop on a Monday to ask about having my VVT kit installed on my Mazdaspeed 3. It was due for a the service as it was never changed out and I started to hear a bit of rattle. They were quick to answer my questions and provide me with an estimate. I made the appointment for Thursday and the car was ready the next day to be picked up. They called and informed me that my Power steering hose was cracked and they swapped it out and did an oil change during the initial service and the car was ready to be picked up.I picked up the car started it and it now runs much smoother and quieter. I was long overdue service on my 2007 Lexus IS350. I got the car back in 2017 with 85k miles and had basically only done oil changes all the way till now (125k miles, August 2024).
I wanted to get the car ready for another 100k miles without any headaches. I saw some oil leaking in my garage and wanted that inspected and fixed as well.
Thomas advised me to get some additional items done since we already had the water pump and transmission fluid on the list, and I agreed. Worry free for a long long time now!
I really liked how they send you pictures on what they found, and show you the work they did.
Here’s everything I got done:
- Cabin air filter replaced
- Brake fluid
- Engine oil dipstick tube seal replaced
- Differential fluid change
- Transmission fluid drain & fill
- Transmission filter replaced
- Transmission pan gasket
- Coolant flush
- Water pump & Serpentine Drive Belt

“I have been going to Tim for over ten years. There are not enough good things I can say about him. He has worked on everything I have brought to him and I recommend him to everyone looking for a great mechanic.
Tim is one of those rare mechanics that wants to help you, not fleece you. He is not the cheapest mechanic in town, nor an expensive dealership. He is somewhere in between. He uses OEM parts so don’t bring your own, it’s a warranty issue and he wont install them. Best of all he won’t up sell you on unneeded maintenance. If he does find an issue with your car beyond the scope of the repair while he’s working on it, he will call you let you know what he found, how much time he thinks you have, and let you make an informed decision.
My one key advice to anyone going to see him, be honest about what is going on with your car and previous work people that have worked on it. One way or another he will figure it out. He can figure the problem out a lot faster if he knows the history of the vehicle.
Tim is usually swamped mainly due to his popularity, call him in advance and arrange an appointment and be ready to leave your car there and not wait for it unless he says its ok in advance. He is a great mechanic, not a magician.
If you take a car to a cheap mechanic, you usually get what you pay for. If you take your car to Tim you will be happier in the long term.
Tim cares about his customers and when you find a mechanic this good, he eventually becomes a trusted member of your family.”
“When it comes to auto repair/service, I've never been spoken to the way Kevin did. We talked for a good 15 minutes after my car was done, and not all about my car, but about life and the value you get when you seek people who care. Let me tell you what a breath of fresh air that was. A place where I could let my guard down and cancel all my thoughts you typically go in with when it comes to car service "this person just wants to gouge me".
We spoke on the phone a week prior to him squeezing me in, to accommodate my schedule because I was coming from afar. I was there at 9am sharp and his technician Gabe was there to greet me and check me in. You can tell a lot from Gabe that he is instilled with the same values that Kevin demonstrates. They are 100% in sync which assured me even further that I was in good hands. They went over and above then what I asked at a more than fair cost and gained a lifetime customer.
If you need Toyota or Lexus car service look no further. At this point I would come from out of state to see Kevin and the team. 5 STARS - Thank you and see you guys again!”
