“We moved to The States a year ago with our dog, Nero. I had been looking for a local pet supply store to occasionally supplement his raw food diet when we travel for work and cannot take Nero with us. We have fed raw food diet to our dogs for several decades before it was ever a popular idea. However, our pet sitter is vegetarian and does not like making his food. I didn't really find what I needed, but the self-service dog wash was really nice to find. We have an outdoor dog wash at home, but I think self-service dog washes are amazing for people who live in flats and community households. The staff was attentive to my questions. The husband and wife team who own the shop, worked so well together; they had great work chemistry and moved like magnets. Makes me smile thinking about it. Very compatible. They directed me to a few websites for some additional education and also a few deals on wholesale supplements for Nero. I felt that was generous. Might stop in with Nero next time. Bought a new light up tag for night walks they recommended.”

“Yesterday very early I came in to ask about some treats for my 40lb mutt puppy. I was greeted as soon as I came inside by a young woman with black leggings and a petropolis shirt on- this felt very normal walking into this establishment in which I had heard about from one of my close friends so I decided to check it out. I asked the girl behind the counter for treat recommendations and she offered me many varieties such as single ingredient treats, cracker treats, and animal part treats like cow ears and rabbits feet. I was hesitant about the animal parts until the employee explained to me they were humanely sourced and they weren't going around killing bunnies. Any who, the young lady offered me assistance the entire 20 minutes I was there, I ended up buying some treats and some dog food for my dear Lucas to try. I want to say I don't try out new establishments very often, I was recommended this store by a woman in my book club and she said it was a great place to get affordable, high quality food and treats for your pets! I would also like to note that the inside of the store looks very electric, bright colors with a retro feel (it stands out from other businesses for its unique touch and incredible customer service). I came in to the store at 9:53am yesterday , their hours say they open at 10am so when I asked the girl behind the counter why they were open early she said she had gotten there at 9:40ish and was already done so there was no reason not to open the door for their valued customers to get out of the Saturday morning cold air. I'm pretty old standing at almost 60 years old with arthritis. When the girl behind the counter was done checking ringing my stuff up she offered to carry it out to my car for me too! I was so enchanted by the kindness and helpfulness I was met with while shopping at Petropolis. The girl who helped me, her name is Siena and she is the most darling girl! if you're ever in the Camarillo area and need a great place to get high quality food and treats for your animals, petropolis is the place to be! i will be visiting again very soon!”

“Went today on a whim. New puppy owner. I was looking at some toys and Agelica helped me pick out some toys for my dog. She helped me with tips on how to help my dogs teething, directed me in the proper harness and let me know that petco offers training. I am excited to book training for my puppy. It’s refreshing to have good customer service and meet people who take their job seriously.”

“Typical PETCO! The only difference is they have marine fish and inverts but be cautious and inspect before buying; especially if there's a Tang in there. The only PETCO in Ventura County that sells marine fish and invertebrates.Employees need to be better trained to care for their animals; poor living conditions and habitats. Incapable fish are mixed with aggressive fish which causes stress and possible death.The only thing saving from a horrible is their employee name John. He is always helpful, polite and tentative to the customers. OUTSTANDING customer service and I've seen do everything in the store.”

“Went in today to see why I couldn't find my dog's food online anymore. I had been purchasing Instinct Lamb both at Petco and online for the last year. It has been so great that my dog no longer had digestive issues, nor did she have runny stools any longer. However, in the last month or so- no Lamb Instinct. I didn't have to look very far, when Alfonzo who was pricing on shelving stopped what he was doing to help me locate the brand. He showed me the empty spots where the Lamb products would be placed and remarked that because of Covid, there had not been any for quite some time. He suggested getting the beef, chicken, or salmon. He carried the bag up to the register, helped two customers check out, along with myself- and I was outta there in a jiffy! Thanks very much, Alfonzo for a pleasant and efficient experience.”
