Walkability: There is no safe walking path to get you to downtown Calistoga. Once you reach downtown, restaurants and shops are walkable.”

“I've never felt like I made a mistake by choosing Best Western, and I was right here too. Conveniently located near the winery (Castello di Amorosa).
Compared to other Best Westerns, it may be a little expensive due to its location. However, the room I stayed in, room 102, had a deep bathtub and a separate shower booth. Also, the room might have been a little bigger.”

“My wife and I booked a weekend stay at the Bergson. Overall, we did enjoy our stay, and the desk staff was very helpful at times when we asked for assistance and recommendations. My critique is mainly with the rooms, which felt antiquated and unmaintained. We had a “signature queen” room, and it was large and spacious. The bed was ok, not uncomfortable but not one I’d want to sleep in for more than a few nights. The room seemed to let in a lot of insects, like a fly or bee, at times…I found myself swatting them down off the wall or windows a few times. The sliding door to the bathroom didn’t close all of the way because it ran up again the baseboard, which seemed like a DIY homeowner thing to do, and the bathroom ceiling had areas that were attempted to be patched but never painted fully, as well as yellowing and dust in the exhaust fan grill. Overall the location of the hotel was good for visiting Napa valley, but I would choose another local hotel before staying at the Bergson again. From the outside, it is a very cute building with a nice sitting area for outdoor breakfast, but the rooms need to be maintained better.”

The resort has state of the art facilities, from the spa bathhouse to the fitness center.

“If you want to stay somewhere cozy, clean, and close to downtown look no further. Carlin Country Cottages is the place. The mineral pool and hot tub is extremely relaxing and it's a huge bonus that there's a kitchen in the room. You can even bbq outside in the shared space. I highly recommend!”
“Booo....so many bad reviews. Been here 5 times already & never had any issues. The staff is very accommodating to our needs : we always get a room by the pool with patio. They always let us check in early. (Call before). Everyone so helpful and friendly....price is fine, no complaints. We are currently staying here & sad to see all these negative reviews & we hope to continue to support Upvalley inn. So far, every time we come no issues.
