“I've driven past this shop 1000 times, and when my college age kids come back for Thanksgiving , they always tell me that the cars need an oil change or a smog or something, and I have to scramble to meet their schedules and mine. So these guys were super friendly and super reasonable, and the smog was completed before I realized, even though there were a few people ahead of me when I got there originally, the smog went super quick. I'm definitely not going anywhere else for smog again. I also made an appointment to have them service my son's Hyundai early next week as well. I tried to call the Hyundai dealer for an appointment since the car has a 100,000 mile warranty in case they find anything wrong but they don't even answer their phone. For maintenance things, I'd rather not pay the dealer prices anyway, so I'll follow up on how the service goes since I'm bringing in the car for the first time, but I'm hopeful I found my go-to mechanic shop. (Just moved to San Bruno three years ago and know how important a good mechanic shop is, and they are hard to find, so fingers crossed!)”

“I wanted to share my experience with Alioto's Garage they fixed my bmw bumper and left it like brand new, also they took care of me right away and explained detailed on how the procedure would be and along with my insurance Geico they sent me a rental guy to pick me up and bring me to the rental car to pick my choice, and Alioto's took care of my car sooner a day before of the day that I was adviced so it was awesome to pick up my car a day before! the car was washed and looked awesome I am very pleased with their service thank you so much Alioto's........”

“I had brought in a accord with some trans problem around 50,000 miles, 03. Spoke to Lenin who assisted me over the phone and in person like a profesional. Lenin as well as the mechanic team got my car done in 2 weeks with it feeling and performing better than when I picked it up. Car runs smoothly till today, got it serviced back in may of 2023. They were so kind I had so much damage! They sent me home in an Uber free of charge !They did an estimate. “Our vehicle's alternator had gone out and we managed to get a lucky rolling stop in a gas station lot. It was 10pm on a Saturday night and we were not close to our home. Initially, we called our Nationwide Insurance for roadside assistance. However, the experience was so sadly awful, and we were expected to wait up to two hours for a tow. I immediately Googled for a close tow service and found Bob Jr's Towing with great ratings. Their ratings were correct. Our call was answered with a polite and empathetic response. The gentleman on the line said he can have a truck to us in 20 minutes...it took 15. The service driver, Pete, was really good and professional. He was courteous and very fast and efficient. The drive in a tow truck can be agitating and awkward. However, Pete was very nice and we had a comfortable conversation to our tow destination. The truck was a top-notch piece of machinery. Bob Jr stocks his fleet with new tow trucks that is impressive to observe from both inside and outside the rig. It's features rivals a new premium passenger truck and rides like a Cadillac. A great investment to a great business. Pete got our car to our mechanic and positioned it perfectly on a metered street where it would not incur a ticket. We chatted a little more regarding our vehicle and Pete gave us some great insight regarding it's diagnosis. Pete made sure that our pickup we arranged (Uber) was good to go and thanked us for our patronage. All things considered, what we thought was a bummer way to end our date-night, ended up not being so bad as it could have been, thanks to the fast and professional treatment that Bob Jr's Towing and their field service rep, Pete, provided us. Oh, and the cost...incredibly reasonable and fair. Don't pass up this company when in need. Thanks!”

Had to do it twice because the battery was so old that even after 30 minutes it didn't hold the charge after I turned it off. the owner could tell I was nervous and knew nothing about cars based on my ignorant questions. He was empathetic and Even after I paid he texted to check in on me and make sure that I made it to the shop without issues. It's the small things that matter.”

“My brakes have been intermittently squeaky for a while so I finally took them in to a mechanic. I was lucky and Tamm was able to see me in a few minutes. He took the car for a drive and couldn't reproduce the noise, so he put it on the lift to check the pads themselves. They were fine, and he explained to me why it was making noise and what to look for in the future before letting me go on my way. And he had a lot of knowledge about my car (an old 2008 model that is no longer made). It's so nice to meet an honest mechanic who doesn't try to rip you off. I recommend Tamm's auto!”

First time taking my car in for service in SF, due to a change of ownership to the last place I usually take my car to. (It was in the East Bay) I came across this business through searching on Yelp. I feel like his quote was reasonable. Came in for motor oil & break fluid maintenance. Dropped my car off at 10:30am & got my car back at 4:30pm the same day! “I was stranded in Santa Rosa when, unexpectedly, there was an ABCmalfunction as indicated on the dash display, and my car's steering was disabled. It was 40 miles to the dealership in San Rafael, California. AAA's tow truck (Norcal Supreme Towing) was there in about a half hour. Loading my Mercedes onto the flat bed and tying it down took less than 15 minutes and we were on our way with me as a passenger in the cab. The driver and I had an extremely enjoyable conversation on the way back. I've had this experience more than a few times in the past and it has always been awful. This time, however, and unbelievably, I found myself enjoying the entire experience, awed by the driver's ability to do his job quickly and efficiently as well as his exuberant personality and friendly attitude.
