“Robert Kim and Action Auto Care were recommended to me when I first moved to the US 23 years ago. I've taken cars there ever since, and have benefited immensely from Robert's knowledge, patience, fairness, and way of explaining things. Since I'm not at all mechanically minded, there have been numerous times when I've relied on his guidance to make a good decision on repairs, or keeping or selling a car. He's now offering the same guidance to my son, going so far as to steer him on repairs he wanted to do himself. Robert is an incredible asset to the Potrero Hill community and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else for car-related matters, even if I have to drive across town these days for Action Auto Care. They're the best!”
“Went on a weekday morning around 8:30am for a suspected tire leak. Not too busy at the time. One of the guys patched my tire within like 15 min, pumped up all of them, and charged me $10 which I think is so little for the service! Gave him 20 and highly recommend this place, at least just based on a simple tire patching.”

“Looking for a reliable auto shop for a semiannual maintenance services on our vehicle for sometimes, and decided to try Daly City Auto Repairs, upon my neighbor’s recommendation. “I hate dealing with dealerships since they always charge an arm and a leg. Found them on yelp and decided to give it a try. I was a little nervous since I’m a girl and weary of mechanic shops but decided to give it a shot. Called for a quote on battery replacement and they were able to provide it to me through text, which I find super convenient. Was able to set up an appointment a few days later. Prior to my battery dying, I’ve been driving around with a super loud exhaust. Not sure what my ex did to it but he removed something to “make it louder”. Honestly, it was driving me insane! Come appointment day, they were able to change out my battery and they noticed something rattling and loose in my exhaust so they secured it. It fixed the loud noise! I’m super grateful that they did that without me mentioning anything. Will be going here from now on. Super trustworthy!”

“So I was in an accident and my car which I'm quite fond of the right side was damaged badly the front bumper the front panel the passengers panel the rear panel and the rear bumper. My car is a 2000 Mercedes-Benz SL500 and I wasn't quite sure there'd be a shop that could repair it and restore it to its original beauty
I talked with the insurance company and I visited local shops on my own and decided I wanted to use alioto's body shop services for a couple reasons one they worked well with my insurance company to their shops were impressively well ordered and three they've been in business a very long time in the Bay area where I live they got my car in quickly and it took them only one week to fix my throughout the whole process they sent me texts updating me about the progress of my car when they got the parts when they were going to paint when they painted and when I could pick it up the pickup date they gave me was exact and sooner than I had I was relieved and overjoyed when I went to pick my car up and there it's at like it was brand new. The work they did was seamless it was like nothing had ever happened to my car they cleaned washed and waxed it inside and out and there were no delays or unexpected problems which I can tell you rarely happens anywhere with anything anytime they took great care of my car which I appreciate it and if I ever needed it I would bring a vehicle there again without question and I'm not in the habit of leaving reviews to begin with but it was such a relief to have this problem fixed in such a timely and efficient manner that I felt if someone else was in my position with a car that was in an accident that they cared about and we're at a loss for where to take it I'm sure that alioto's would be an excellent choice”

“This place deserves 10 stars. My q60 was stolen and wrecked. Insurance company tried quoting me for used or aftermarket parts to paint and repair. Took it to this place and the guy Adam went to bat behind me against the insurance company and got us all new oem parts. As well pulling some string and getting the oem parts fast. Plus threw in a bunch of extra touch ups for no additional charge. Can honestly say my car was returned looking and feeling better then before it was stolen. Never once asked for anything in return. Genuinely satisfied ! 10⭐️s for sure.”

“I’ve been bringing my 2007 Toyota Highlander to this shop for a while now, and every time, the service is nothing short of exceptional. A few months ago, I took my car in for a potential transmission issue, and I was blown away by how thorough Brian and his team were. They ran every possible test, had multiple mechanics check it out, and made sure there was absolutely nothing wrong before getting back to me. Most shops, when they hear “transmission issue,” see dollar signs, but not here. They charged me only for diagnostics and even did my oil change upon request. I truly felt like they had my best interests in mind, and that’s rare to find.
Most recently, I noticed a lot of water leaking from my car before a long-distance trip to Southern California, and once again, Brian came through. Despite being busy and close to closing, he took my car in on short notice. As always, he was extremely knowledgeable and transparent, walking me through both the best and worst-case scenarios.
What really stood out to me was the level of dedication Brian showed. He stayed late on a Saturday evening to inspect my car and get me a quote—well ahead of the Monday timeline he originally gave me. When he called, he broke the unfortunate news that the issue was with the water pump and timing belt. Although the repair wasn’t in my budget this time around, Brian went above and beyond by offering to have someone come in on a Sunday (when they’re normally closed) to get the work done so I could make my trip.
Brian even left the car on the lift for me to see everything firsthand, and he patiently explained the issues while allowing me to take pictures for future reference. His willingness to help, honesty, and transparency have truly made him the most trustworthy mechanic I’ve found in the Bay Area.
Although I wasn’t able to get my car fixed this time, I will 1000% be coming back, and I would recommend this shop—and Brian specifically—to all my friends and family. It’s rare to find a mechanic who genuinely cares about their customers, and I know for certain that anyone who comes here will get an honest diagnosis and be treated fairly.
