Melissa and staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. They work with you in selecting of the many options available depending on your specific needs.”
“The most wonderful people. Was weekly tested, saliva not nasal. Results in 2 hours last few months, prior to that next day. They offer nasal testing but not what I prefer. Super friendly.”

1241 E Hillsdale Blvd Ste 260, Foster City“Check in was really easy at the kiosk, and they took me in immediately (I had an appointment). The folks there were really nice, and took me seriously when I told them I tend to pass out. They let me wait for a specific room with a lay flat option to draw blood to become available. The did seem short staffed (it seemed only two people were working, one checking people into their rooms and getting their paperwork/vials ready and the Phlebotomist. My phlebotomist was awesome! She was kind and patient, checked in during the draw to make sure I was okay, and encouraged me to take it slow after and brought me a water. Definitely will come back here for future blood work, this was one of the best experiences I've had getting blood drawn.”

170 Alameda de las Pulgas, Redwood City“My 87 year-old father-in-law fell and sustained a large laceration on his hand. He lives next door to Mills Peninsula Hospital but has had a few negative experiences there and asked for me to take him somewhere else. We went to Sequoia emergency room in Redwood City. He was registered in very promptly and then taken immediately into a private room. Nurse Susan assessed him thoroughly and was very friendly and reassuring. Dr. Marks arrived in just a few minutes and explained what was going to happen next and what type of repairs he was planning. The area was promptly prepared for and surgery and Dr. Marks was able to numb up his injuries with minimal discomfort and ultimately my father-in-law had complete pain relief. The surgery was completed in about 20 minutes and Dr. Marks gave extensive instructions as to wound care and what to expect in the next few weeks. Nurse Lori applied a very nice dressing and gave us copies of all the discharge instructions. We were in and out of there in less than one hour with absolutely wonderful care. My father-in-law felt that this was the best hospital experience he had ever had in his life and was very impressed with the entire staff. Thankyou. What a pressure.”

1501 Trousdale Dr Building C, 1st Floor, Burlingame“Went today around 9:30am without any appointment and we managed to be in and out in less than 30 minutes! I work in a facility for people with special needs and it is a challenge to get our clients to cooperate. Fortunately, they understood our predicament and expedited the process. They even had security assist us as sometimes our client can get resistive. Bottom line, they made things very easy and pleasant for us. From the personnel who processed our papers, the security and the phlebotomist. You guys are awesome! Keep up the good work!”
“Hospitals. It's often easy to find out what is wrong... so I understand harsh reviews. They are useful & that's great because there is the ability to improve! Mills has been around for a long time- and yet it is modern, tech-savvy and the doctors and nurses work as a team. Our stay is at Christmas-time. The most heart-wrenching time to be here. However, we have been happily surprised at the willingness to find out what is REALLY wrong. We are here for a cardiac issue, that means a BP check every 2 hours... that means lights on at 2am and 4am etc, with questions and possibly consultations. The staff and Docs are great! We appreciate their diligence and thoroughness. The meals are hot, tasty and well-prepared + big variety on menu. Delivered in about 30 minutes / or preorder. The Room is super clean and comfortable. I was invited to stay with my hubby- wow, a bed was made up for me! Variety oof rooms, clearly marked with cautions like "fall hazard" marked on the door. Nurse / doctor names are marked on a white board so changes are easy to see. I am so grateful that everyone explains what they are doing, in a courteous and thoughtful way. I am confident they will figure out the issues, but while that is on-going he is resting peacefully. this is the best place for him to be, safe and calm. Thanks Mills, it's our first time here, and you are super stars.”

853 Middlefield Rd Ste 3, Palo Alto“I was visiting from out-of-state and needed an urgent blood draw. I asked my doctor to send the lab order to this clinic since it was the closest one, but I realized on arrival that they do appointments only. The nurse however was quite helpful and accommodated me. Saved me a lot of rescheduling time!”

“This review is strictly for NuGEN's 8-week summer internship program for college students to explore a career in biotech. Pros: - Work individually and with others on projects within your department - Interact with employees throughout the company - Lunch 'n Learn sessions provide once-weekly brief lecture/panel style presentations on each facet of the company; lunch is provided - Paid above minimum wage - Half-time hours, so the days are short; if you really need or want the money, you could quite likely fit an afternoon job to get an extra four hours' wage every day - Freedom to request exploration in areas outside your assigned department: despite being an Operations intern, my supervisor(s) coordinated to get me in a lab on my last week to be trained on running PCR and bioanalyzing the resulting DNA samples - Occasional company-wide BBQ lunches, occasional department-wide lunches, and donuts or pastries most Thursday mornings - Knowledgable superiors with varied backgrounds and of varied ages so you can see how people in their 20's and beyond are getting into the biotech industry - Helpful superiors with a willingness to teach - Get a true hands-on understanding on what kinds of things go on in your assigned department from the ground up Cons: - Supervisors tend to be directors, making them understandably quite busy throughout most days which can leave interns with an awkward lull from time to time when projects and assignments get completed - Day-to-day tasks can occasionally be mundane; in an overall week, I would likely get to work in multiple areas, but many full 4-hour stretches were spent unstapling and scanning documents. It's not hard work, but sometimes it's a little underwhelming if you find yourself having to trudge through a stack of papers that might take a few consecutive days of repetitive work Overall an excellent experience. It is clear they put effort into organizing the internship program so as to maximize what students get out of it. Despite some day-to-day tasks being repetitive and mundane, the experience taken as a whole was great because I had the opportunity to hands-on get a taste for everything that happens in Operations, from QA/QC to production and manufacturing, document control, facilities management, shipping and receiving, and more. I would highly recommend the program for students with an interest or aptitude in biotechnology and genomics.”
“Got TB test and Live scan done here today, the experience is much greater than my 1st time here 2-year ago. Especially Terrence who helped us out was very professional, efficient by giving us all relevant information, thank you, Terrence!”
