“I was a walk-in (no appointment), got there right when they opened and waited about an hour, which I thought was pretty good. The phlebotomist was friendly, efficient, and got my vein on the first poke and I barely felt it. One of the best blood draws I've had. She was excellent!”

“Great place to find some wellness and selfcare. I have had several rounds of shots of their vitamins. Their wellness lounge is so relaxing and serene. Melissa and staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. They work with you in selecting of the many options available depending on your specific needs.”

“Maria Dwyer was wonderful and very very professional. She took 15 vials using no pain at all and she was the very first doctor to EVER get blood from my arm instead of the painful hand and wrist. Ive had nothing but horrible experiences in the past from other places but this was the best and will be my go to place forever. I was super nervous and Maria knew how to keep me calm and relaxed!! She knows her stuff!! Also the woman at the front desk was wonderful too who took care of my check in work papers!! The staff is amazing here!! Big thanks for a great experience!”

“Initially surprised by my bill, Palo Alto Pathology helped me with resubmitting my claim to insurance. They were very friendly and knowledgeable with helping me understand my billing and insurance.”

“I came here to do my TB skin test. The online appointment system works great. Although, there were walk-ins ahead of me when I walked in, Terrence immediately told the others that I had an appointment and did my test right away. He was quick, competent and very professional. I hardly felt the needle. All follow-on instructions were very clear. They also do Livescans. Wish I had known this so I could have taken care of health and screening requirements at the same time.”

“Only posivie experience with the lab - very professional staff is working here, no issues with a complex case that my mom had (hard to locate veins). Normally takes many attempts and take long time, but not in this lab!I advise you make an appointement and arrive on time to avoid any delays.”

“I went to get my bi-annual chest CT scan done this morning at the Sequoia Hospital in Redwood City. It's always a pain to get IV in me so I am kind of nervous. The two young gentlemen greet me with big smile ... you can feel it even behind the masks. They put the IV in without issues and the scan was performed quickly and professionally. It was a good experience.”

“This review is strictly for NuGEN's 8-week summer internship program for college students to explore a career in biotech. Pros: - Work individually and with others on projects within your department - Interact with employees throughout the company - Lunch 'n Learn sessions provide once-weekly brief lecture/panel style presentations on each facet of the company; lunch is provided - Paid above minimum wage - Half-time hours, so the days are short; if you really need or want the money, you could quite likely fit an afternoon job to get an extra four hours' wage every day - Freedom to request exploration in areas outside your assigned department: despite being an Operations intern, my supervisor(s) coordinated to get me in a lab on my last week to be trained on running PCR and bioanalyzing the resulting DNA samples - Occasional company-wide BBQ lunches, occasional department-wide lunches, and donuts or pastries most Thursday mornings - Knowledgable superiors with varied backgrounds and of varied ages so you can see how people in their 20's and beyond are getting into the biotech industry - Helpful superiors with a willingness to teach - Get a true hands-on understanding on what kinds of things go on in your assigned department from the ground up Cons: - Supervisors tend to be directors, making them understandably quite busy throughout most days which can leave interns with an awkward lull from time to time when projects and assignments get completed - Day-to-day tasks can occasionally be mundane; in an overall week, I would likely get to work in multiple areas, but many full 4-hour stretches were spent unstapling and scanning documents. It's not hard work, but sometimes it's a little underwhelming if you find yourself having to trudge through a stack of papers that might take a few consecutive days of repetitive work Overall an excellent experience. It is clear they put effort into organizing the internship program so as to maximize what students get out of it. Despite some day-to-day tasks being repetitive and mundane, the experience taken as a whole was great because I had the opportunity to hands-on get a taste for everything that happens in Operations, from QA/QC to production and manufacturing, document control, facilities management, shipping and receiving, and more. I would highly recommend the program for students with an interest or aptitude in biotechnology and genomics.”

“Just went there here a semi-quantitative Covid antibody test. Rodell was courteous and professional, able to quickly find my veins and the blood draw was over within just a few minutes. I got my results the very next day. Clean, professional, overall a positive experience.”

“I was apprehensive because of such bad reviews, but honestly, this was great! It was fast, efficient and easy. Noina's blood draw was easily the most comfortable one I've ever had. No complaints here!”

“Hospitals. It's often easy to find out what is wrong... so I understand harsh reviews. They are useful & that's great because there is the ability to improve! Mills has been around for a long time- and yet it is modern, tech-savvy and the doctors and nurses work as a team. Our stay is at Christmas-time. The most heart-wrenching ‍time to be here. However, we have been happily surprised at the willingness to find out what is REALLY wrong. We are here for a cardiac issue, that means a BP check every 2 hours... that means lights on at 2am and 4am etc, with questions and possibly consultations. The staff and Docs are great! We appreciate their diligence and thoroughness. The meals are hot, tasty and well-prepared + big variety on menu. Delivered in about 30 minutes / or preorder. The Room is super clean and comfortable. I was invited to stay with my hubby- wow, a bed was made up for me! Variety oof rooms, clearly marked with cautions like "fall hazard" marked on the door. Nurse / doctor names are marked on a white board so changes are easy to see. I am so grateful that everyone explains what they are doing, in a courteous and thoughtful way. I am confident they will figure out the issues, but while that is on-going he is resting peacefully. this is the best place for him to be, safe and calm. Thanks Mills, it's our first time here, and you are super stars.”

“I had an appointment at 10:20am but showed up at 9:50am. I was taken in at 10am and was out by 10:15am. I was treated my Mark and he was very thorough and pleasant.”

“Drug screening hours 1:00pm to 3:30pm, Mon thru Fri. Making appointment is highly recommended! Otherwise, it would be very difficult to squeeze in due to high demand. The staff there is very professional and straightforward. As long as you follow the rule, have an appointment, and be patient, you would be treated respectfully. It did take quite some time to get the sample collection done as there were multiple steps involved before the real deal. On-premise parking is limited but you can easily find street parking. I tried not to park at the nearby strip mall or hotel/restaurant.”
