“Today, we ordered flowers to be delivered to a dear friend's mother, who is in a nursing facility. They delivered the flowers a very short time after ordering and sent us both confirmation of the order and a confirmation that they were delivered. Wonderful customer service!!!!! “Scott and Sing were awesome from start to finish! We had blinds done through Costco a few years back and had nothing but problems with them. We finally gave up and contacted Budget Blinds based on Yelp and NextDoor reviews and could not be more satisfied with the process and results. Scott and Sing were responsive, professional, and hard working. They didn't try to push the most expensive options, and even made suggestions that cost less (and looked and functioned better!) For any future window covering needs we have - we will definitely be calling Budget Blinds again!”

“Scandinavian Designs is a reliable source for high quality good value furniture. Most recently, I needed to find a bed frame for my kid who has found their own place. Here we found something they really liked for a reasonable price. Mei Lieng helped us when we came in on Dec. 24, thank you for being there on the Holiday. Everyone is so helpful and the products are very nice for your home. If you find something you like there, you should buy it.”
“This is a relatively new addition to downtown Millbrae, and though I don't see myself buying anything from here in the immediate future ... never say never, especially because not only is our house full of all sorts of Southg Asian and Asian decor, but there've been all sorts of occasions when we've popped into one of these places. It's neatly laid out, and I get the sense that they're still ironing out the kinks in their interior. When we wandered in, they were fairly busy setting stuff up, and I didn't see stickers of prices on the items. I can imagine (and for their sake) hope they manage to do a brisk business here. Though I would've rather a food place had popped up here, for what it's worth, they have a large, albeit limited repertoire of decor and furniture items, that range more on the aesthetic side, than purely functional, though this might change as they expand their inventory. Btw., the space is fairly large, though it doesn't look it from the outside, because it's deep and vertically stacked, so it might be worth your while to walk all the way to the back.”
“I can't believe I never stopped in before! It's a tiny blink-and-you-miss-it storefront, and inside it's packed to the gills with adorable gifts and goodies. I picked up some stationery, but you could also get a little RGB doll or some nifty inventive kitchenware.”
“I would give Coast Lighting 10 stars if I could. Greg and Brittney are fantastic at what they do, helpful and incredibly fast. From a contractor's perspective - Coast will quickly help with the lighting material needed for a job and happily schedule to meet with your clients to help with any lighting questions they may have. It's always nice to physically go into a showroom to show clients what their home will look like with certain lighting. Everyone in the store is polite, helpful, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. Thank you Greg and Brittney for providing a one-stop shop for both contractors, designers and customers!”

Cards to fit every mood. From adults to children there is something for everyone. Any time I'm near one of the stores I always go in and I always walk out with something that brings me joy. And it's run by the nicest owner Jing! Who you can tell really cares about her clientele and about the quality of products she chooses to incorporate into the stores. Staff is also always kind. It's the type of store you leave feeling good all over.”
“Martin was fantastic, he answered all our questions about the furniture including the origin, how they clean it and check for bed bugs. And he even delivered on Saturday night with a smile. The sofa is just our style, mid century modern, in beautiful condition, and was a good value. Plus, Martin's customer service was over the top exceptional! I'm really glad my husband found this shop, I was skeptical when he mentioned it -- but their products, quality, and customer service quickly won me over. We'd done some research and found they're owned by Berkshire HathawWe went shopping at 11am today and my new sofa is in my living room tonight. Thanks Martin and Cort!”
“I wanted to recommend Nordic Nest to those looking for knitting supplies. Anette, the owner, was absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful to my 83 year old mom who was looking for yarn and knitting supplies for a gift. Two other local stores completely blew her off when she called for assistance, but Anette was very kind not only over the phone but also texted back and forth with her a few times. We purchased some beautiful yarn at a reasonable price there today from Anette, and shortly after we left, she (as promised) even sent my Mom links to a number of websites where we could purchase patterns. Anette was great in person too, had terrific suggestions, and was very patient with my Mom. The store itself is lovely too, and we will need to return to look at the various artisanal gifts on display and available for purchase. Anette & Nordic Nest are keepers for sure!”

“I love Maggie! Aside from being just a really nice person, her work is also top quality! I asked her to sew a custom white linen slipcover for my Ralph Lauren sofa in 2009. She came to my home, took all the measurements and returned a few weeks later with beautiful slipcovers that fit like a glove. Five years later, my slipcovers are still like new. I have a toddler and needless to say, we wash our slipcovers frequently. They are so sturdy and holding up so well after 5 years. Thank you Maggie!”

“I'm a freshman in college and wandered into Hudson Grace looking for a flower vase. I was asking a girl out on a date and wanted to make a small flower arrangement. The two women working the store (I didn't catch their names) not only gave me a display vase for free but spent over 15 minutes showing me how to arrange a flower display. They cut off the rose stems, showed me which leaves to remove, and helped arrange the flowers in the vase. It was one of the kindest gestures I have ever received.Update: she said yes! I'll definitely be returning for some candles :)”

“I LOVE Shelby's Garden! A few years ago a dear friend got me some beautiful yet minimal bracelets from here and I have since purchased many other pieces, really unique stuff and reasonable price, don't think I paid more than $30 for a piece. Was wandering in here a few weeks ago needed some retail therapy, and decided to smell their scent selection, smelled this Capri Blue Volcano hand lotion and went to heaven. The smell immediately comforted me, seemed so familiar but I couldn't quite place it. I go home to research (I thought maybe it was the scent of one of my Vegas cainos and thats why i recognized it lol!) and of course - it's the scent Anthropolgie uses in their stores! Addicting and a known universally accepted scent! To the point where a man stopped me on Laurel and said "Ma'am I'm sorry if this comes off wrong but you smell AMAZING" =) (fun fact for single ladies: based on research men really like citrus or vanilla/pumpkin yes pumpkin scents on women and this is mostly citrus with light floral base notes! Isnt that something...). I asked my husband how he Iiked this because he's never been in an Anthropologie or to Shelby's and he applied like 3x to his hands and sat there sniffing them like Molly Shannon in Superstar. What a fun cute store to browse there is all sorts of stuff the owner must hand-pick everything because it's so charming and there is always something new/fun/pretty/cute to buy!”

“I was looking for refrigerator door handles to match my cabinets. I called Belmont Hardware and after speaking to "a man" on the phone was told to email the photo to him and he would get back to me. He did not get back to me as promised, so by the next day I followed up and reached a woman named Tammy who told me the guy was out on jury duty. Fortunately I reached out and she ended up being a magician! She patiently walked me through websites showing me what would match my photo. She found my handles, got the order placed and I couldn't believe that we received them the very next day. She got the job done so quickly, efficiently and got me the perfect product.
