“Super friendly and knowledgeable pet shop. I called in Advance to help my 10 wk yr old puppy get an ivy because he was severely hydrated. Janet answered the phone and informed me that they do in fact do these types of procedure and more. She was kind enough to inform me what time I should come in and helped me every step of the way. Staff here are very knowledgeable and can help you in any questions you have. I want to thank you guys for helping me and my sick dehydrated puppy today. You guys are Awesome and would definitely recommend more clients your way.”

“I came here for a dog adoption event that was organized with Ozzie and Friends. They have a back room that they use for events like this. There is also a clinic in the back. And an area that is gated so that we could interact with the dogs and learn a bit more about their personality. Since they partnered with them, when I adopted my new puppy, they gave me a 10% coupon that I could use. So I got a new harness and some training treats for her. They were very helpful when I had questions about which training treats I should get. It been a while since I've had to train a puppy so it was nice to get some advice. There is also a dog washing station in the front. It was pretty crowded the whole time I was there.”

I went to get my bird's wings clipped and Oscar was incredibly informative and helpful, ensuring that my feathered friends were well taken care of. The service was very quick and efficient. “When I discovered this dog grooming business, I never left. Jonathan is such a great groomer. He is so detailed and knowledgeable with the best interest of your dog. He is so quick to communicate. I appreciate the time and effort he puts into my fur baby (shown in the pictures below). I take 3 dogs of mine here and he never fails to disappoint every time. “I love this store!!! I came in today hoping that I could get my dog groomed but, unfortunately the grooms were done for the day. I was bummed, but an employee, Jack explained how the groomers finish at a certain time, and booking an appointment is what I should do instead. Jack showed me Urban Pet has self wash stations! Gave me a quick run down of how it works and let me know of a daily deal on Mondays for the self wash. Jack gave me some fresh towels! After his bath they gave my pup some treats! My boy has chicken allergy, but Jack made sure to ask before giving him any. They also helped me out with some food recommendations for my pup's sister. Jack hooked it up with some samples and a free membership! Definitely will be coming back, people here know their stuff!!!”

“Great store for cat and dog owners that want their buds to eat well. Everyone here has been super knowledgeable and helpful. When I requested some specific items they kept in low stock, they increased their stock of those items to accommodate me. I’ve become a regular here. If you love your pets, do yourself and your pets a favor and get them high quality food from this place. All three of our cats now have shiny great coats and it’s due to the better diet. It’s a win-win-win for everyone.”

“So I had been looking around for a prescription cat food that was prescribed to my ailing fur baby girl and was having a hard time finding what I needed so I called Urban pet and spoke to a very helpful woman who said they didn't carry what I was looking for but instead suggested that I consider a nonprescription alternative and provided me with a lot of really good information. With this information, I was able to do some research and determine that there are way better products on the market than the prescription stuff that they recommend for your animals. So the following day, I went into the store and spoke with the young man who was extremely helpful in explaining which food would be best based on my animals needs. I have to say that the staff here was friendly from the minute I walked in the door, they were very eager to assist and very very knowledgeable about all the products that they carried. I was extremely happy to be able to get good information and what I think is a better food for my little girl. This place is phenomena and has a great selection. I wholeheartedly recommend this store to anyone who is looking for a great pet store with a great selection and knowledgeable staff. And good prices too !!”

“Took my shy boy to this place (it was both our first times) and it took him a little while to get used to all the sites and smells and sounds here but he ended up loving it (ask me about the turkey neck he ate that I had to pay for lol). “Exactly a year ago I stumbled into healthy spot with a dog who had been spray painted blue that I randomly found wandering through DTLA and came in for a grooming. Out came out Luz. I didn't have much to go off of, I had never groomed any dog at Healthy Spot before. After leaving that day with a newly fresh dog, I realized how amazing Luz was. Today I brought in my first dog. He's 9, (and officially siblings with the blue dog I mentioned earlier). Gosh. To have a groomer so honestly tell me what ways I could be better with my dog at home, and unabashedly told me what was causing some of his pain, was incredible. I am a first time dog owner. Although I have had my dog for a few years, I'm still a forever student when it comes to being a parent. I so rarely find vets that will tell me exactly what I can do to make sure my dog is comfortable at home, so to have Luz, outright tell me what was causing his pain, which was absolutely avoidable on my end, I am forever grateful. Luz put my dog and his well being over everything else. Luz did such a fantastic job grooming him - and I wish I could do more than just write a silly Yelp review. So I hope this gets some traction at Healthy Spot and groomers that go above and beyond get rewarded because today, the service, was exceptional. Thank you for making sure my dog is comfortable and educating me on ways I can do that at home. It means the world to me.”
