“Manpreet is the woman that helped me at valley strong. So I financed a car thru carmax and was not happy with the interest rate CarMax gave me so the next day I went to valley strong to see if maybe I could get a better one, I took all my papers CarMax gave me and told the woman what I wanted to do… she said yeah no problem, printed out a bunch of papers and had a check ready in a few min. My whole process only took like 30 min. I thought it was so awesome how fast it went but the interest rates were so different too. I know everybody’s is gonna be different based on their credit, but Carmax gave me 16% Strong was able to give me a 10%. Such a big difference!”

“Visited on Friday April 20, 2024 about 10:30 am…FANTASTIC AND AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I’m impressed!! (I’m NOT one for being easily impressed!!)When I walked into the River Run branch there was a gentleman at the sign-in desk being assisted by the friendly assistant behind the desk. (I don’t remember her name) She immediately acknowledged my presence and said, “I’ll be with you in a moment, let me take care of this young gentleman”! (He was an older man in his mid to late 70’s; I’m sure that made his day??)How refreshing it was to be acknowledged, respected, and appreciated immediately knowing I was there to do business. (I was there to open a new account.)I waited a short time to see the assistant at the sign-in desk, I told her why I was there; it took a minute for her to complete her task assigning me to the appropriate assistant. She completed her task in a kind, friendly, and timely manner. (She did her job efficiently like she is expected!!)I sat in the waiting area for about 5-10 minutes. As I waited, (gave me time to rate the friendliness and efficiency of the employees and branch) I noticed the line of (regular) customers was moving fast. The “Business Account” assistants assisted “Regular” banking customers at their window when there wasn’t “Business Account” customers in line. (They didn’t stand there twiddling their thumbs or chit chat with each other)I heard my name; I looked behind me and saw Christina, she greeted me with a beautiful friendly smile and her name. Christina was kind, patient, informative, professional, and personable. She completed the task at hand in a timely manner and answered my questions to my satisfaction. (I didn’t feel like she was rushing me out, she was just efficient!! She could hold a conversation with me and continue her task. She was so thorough, I didn’t have many questions!)Overall, the employees were friendly, professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and most of all…respectful of the customer’s time.“Time is money” and “Life Is Short”. Customer Service is SO rare these days, (too many employees with “I get paid per hour mentality” and have no work ethic!) but Valley Strong Credit Union is impressive on Customer Service.”

They let me know that I was given incorrect information by the teller and that my name change records are available for employees to see. She was quick to make it right and accept my check as is. I am very happy they got back to me so fast and for making things right.This review is based off of my experience today. I’ve been a member here for almost 40 years. I’ve never had an issue until today. I got married last year and changed my last name. I got that updated at the credit union. Today I walk in with a check that was made out to my maiden name. I was hoping since they have on record my name change, that it wouldn’t be a problem. The lady who helped me told me they don’t have access to those records. She said I would need to bring in my old id with my maiden name or my marriage certificate. I’ve already done this when I changed my name. Why they don’t have access to these items, I have no idea. This is disappointing because I live several hours away and now I have to try and get the check reissued in my married name, which is a hassle because the company from which it came is hard to get ahold of.”

I have a very long and diversified experience, working in retail banking, commercial banking, private, banking, and wealth services. After having a relationship with Chase since 1994, I had to change banks. I changed banks, because Chase discriminated against my child with special needs. I was not particularly happy about that discrimination, and I said a few words to a couple of their employees that were less than "proper". As a result, Chase froze all of my assets pending a close out almost 30 days from the incident date. Unfortunately, my elderly parents require my assistance in their management of their finances. Because I was on their accounts Chase froze my elderly parents accounts, and my mother could not buy her insulin for her diabetes. We reached out to Wells Fargo on Stockdale and set an appointment with Andrea. We had many accounts to open with varying degrees of ownership complication. Andrea was absolutely an unbelievably spectacular in her demeanor, disposition, and overall presentation. Over the last five years, Wells Fargo has earned a terrible reputation because of sales practices. I have to say that the "reestablished "Wells Fargo is very very well represented by Andrea. Though I do not live in Bakersfield, I live in the Los Angeles area, if I did live in the Bakersfield area, I would move all of my money and all of my investments to this branch all under the oversight of Andrea. To the Wells Fargo management... You have an absolute gem of a colleague, and this young woman. You are lucky my institution does not have locations in Bakersfield, or I would recruit her away from you to come work for me. Andrea, you know who wrote this, and I must sincerely express significant, sincere and emotional gratitude to you for taking care of my elderly mother and father.”

“Located in the Vons this little bank packs a big punch when it comes to customer service. The tellers smile and make conversation as they process the transactions knowing people have things to do. Not sure if it's a training center because they have a different rotation of tellers quite often. I've never had a problem cashing any checks and I love when the teller says "I'll cash it out and then deposit it" It's the small things that make a big difference”

They always supplied new "payment coupons" well in advance of each year.3. When I moved, I had no problems with account transfer procedures. 4. Auto-tellers were always polite, expert, and swift when I made payments. Inside, same gracious staff. Facility was always totally neat, clean, and well organized. ["Where do they get these people? Can I take them home?"]5. "Skips" [for Christmas] absolutely "painless"--a mere call sufficed. 6. Paid off loan early, without any trouble whatsoever. They said, "Sad to see you go. Come back when you need banking services. We'll miss you"!7. Post payoff documentation to me was LIGHTNING FAST; DMV notification and removal of "lien status" equally prompt. I was not "a mere debtor" to this bank. I was treated with the supreme good will and helpfulness I might find from my best friends. I felt like a "family member" receiving not merely funds but service and care.This is a bank that has not merely embraced but refined ethics of professionalism, courtesy, and good will for its customers. This is "best banking". UNRESERVEDLY RECOMMENDED.”

“If there ever arises an issue of unauthorized monies removed or unrecognizable money is removed or any other question I have that involves my bank account and structure of, Chase employees have no problem with answering any questions rather they be simple easy questions are hard complex there is no problem with receiving an answer. A positive answer at that. As with all banks there are busy days but I found the chase that moving forward never stops ie you are in line waiting for a window and if you keep leaning forward you will not stop till you reach that window is how fast they are and I really appreciate that. Another Plus I want to add before I go, if there is an unruly customer just before you the chase employee will not let that affect their service for you. They will not talk about the last customer they will only agree or disagree with anything you say that is not degrading but again is not in favor of the way they treated the customer service. That is a good feeling knowing that they will not talk about you when you're gone.”

I just want everyone to know about the exceptional interaction my family had with one of the bank tellers at this location. Her name is Iris, and let me tell you hunny, this woman went above and beyond to accommodate my elderly sick mother, sister and I. Iris was very professional, patient, kind and caring with the sensitive situation that we had going on at the bank. She actually took care of us twice in a 2-month span. Iris is a 10 out of 10 I recommend every time I come to that bank with a beautiful smile on her face. The Wells Fargo Bank on California avenue is blessed to have a person like Iris on their team.”
