“So I've been banking with valley strong for a few years. I see a few comments saying they liked it better when it was kern schools. To me everything is the same, you're still banking with a small, homegrown credit union. I've gone negative on my account because I needed gas and they give you a week or so before charging you a fee. Today I went in and Devin at the front desk was so helpful. He immediately solved my issue with my card not working. Great service. Great personality.”

“Ive been with safe 1 since i was in HS and not once have i had a bad experience with any location. i personally want to thank jose mejia. Every time ive had an issue with my acccount and/or had any questions regarding any type of loans he always goes above and beyond to help us out. If he doesnt know the answer to any questions we have, he will always ask around to make sure he gives us the correct answer. Hes always my to go person since then. i would def recommend safe 1 to anyone and also recommend them to go to him for anything they need. Not only does he treat you like family but so does everyone else in that branch.”

“Purchased a car through them. Outstanding service: 1. They had the lowest rate--I got an astonishing bargain.2. They always supplied new "payment coupons" well in advance of each year.3. When I moved, I had no problems with account transfer procedures. 4. Auto-tellers were always polite, expert, and swift when I made payments. Inside, same gracious staff. Facility was always totally neat, clean, and well organized. ["Where do they get these people? Can I take them home?"]5. "Skips" [for Christmas] absolutely "painless"--a mere call sufficed. 6. Paid off loan early, without any trouble whatsoever. They said, "Sad to see you go. Come back when you need banking services. We'll miss you"!7. Post payoff documentation to me was LIGHTNING FAST; DMV notification and removal of "lien status" equally prompt. I was not "a mere debtor" to this bank. I was treated with the supreme good will and helpfulness I might find from my best friends. “I love Safe 1. At the time I opened my checking account with them I was having trouble finding a credit union or bank that did not charge any monthly fees unless you had direct deposit and/or over X amount of money in it at all times, which I knew I wouldn't have. After some searching I found that Safe 1 did not have any fees like this. Their checking account terms were the best of any other place at the time. For the past 5 years I've been happy with them. The staff are friendly and helpful. Their debit card works with a huge network of other credit union ATMs for no transaction fee, which is a great perk (I can always find an ATM in any city I go to and there are a ton of qualifying ATMs all around town). The only reason I am giving it 4 stars out of 5 is that their hours are not great if you work normal business hours. They are not open before 8am nor past 5:15pm, and they are closed on the weekends. If I need to go in for something, I can only do it during my lunch break. But, because of the other positives, I've stuck with them for the past 5 years.”

I also loved the fact that it's not over crowded with customers line another bank I deal with. I would give them a 5 stars if they were open on the weekend. I do recommend going to Safe1 for an auto loan I'm very happy with mine.”
