“If you are already coming from the north on the 5th or the 99th and short hours before entering the area, don't let your hand shake and turn your steering wheel to the right and signal that you will go to rest at this truck stop.
This facility has a capacity of at least 400 truck parking spaces. It is a clean, clear area oriented in the correct direction for the maneuver in addition to having excellent lighting.
It has restaurants around it during daylight hours as well as two inside the Petro sales area.
You can take a clean and necessary shower, as well as use the gym and massage chairs.
The iHop offers a menu for a good breakfast. Of course, you should take enough time to stop by to eat there because they are quite slow but the quality of the food is good.
Here they also have a mechanical workshop in case you need to make a repair. Access is immediate from Route 5 and is one mile from the Fort Tejón weight station.”
“The equipment? What worked was certainly up to par, but it was made up for in personalities. Mike, the manager, assisted with the washer/dryer when they failed working after paying for them—and he was extremely pleasant.
The shower was wonderful! Clean facilities, towels, hair dryer, fan, and lots of HOT WATER!
Was it busy? Unless you can think of another word that means “beyond busy” I’d have to say, “yes.”
Food? Good question. The restaurants were packed, except for Pizza Hut that had crickets chirping from that side. The other two places, despite $15/meals, were flipping the burgers out as fast as they could sink them down. They must be better then REGULAR Burger King and Taco Bell-OR the restaurants in this particular area are scarce!
Photos are included for your review. And be nice to the people who work here—they’re working hard for you!”
“We found this wonderful little stop during a nightmare of a re-route. Was travelling from Carmel to Orange County, when the Grapevine was unexpectedly shut down. What was supposed to be a 5-6 hour trip in the car with 2 young kids, turned into a 8-9 hour stop-and-go hell. We stopped at Fastrip to gas up, make a restroom stop, and grab food for the kiddos. During our stop, my son lost his watch and was pretty upset about it. Within a day or two, the store manager was calling my husband, letting us know that the watch was found. He mailed it to us, and insisted that he cover the cost. What a really nice man. :) If we ever find ourselves along that route, we will be sure to stop on by. The food selection was great, and the staff goes above and beyond. Thanks again for your hospitality!”

Every person working was very friendly and when we let them know the Diet Coke was out, they quickly changed it and we were on our way again. They had such a welcoming atmosphere. It was very clean and there were many many choices for snacks. Excellent customer service. Thank you!”

“We stopped at Murray Family Farms after seeing all their signage, advertising free fruit with the purchase of gas. The outside of the shop was very cute, featuring a unique grape-themed fountain and a red barn-like exterior. The interior had a large selection of fruit, preserves, sauces, drinks, and snacks. There was also a counter with both sweet and savory pies, which all sounded delicious. We got two free oranges for purchasing gas, and also bought a bottle of Blackberry Cider and a Chicken Pot Pie (Okie Pie). The Blackberry Cider was tasty, but definitely on the sweet side. The Okie Pie was shaped like a large empanada, which made it convenient to eat in the car. It was hot and very filling, but not the most memorable. I think they have a larger selection earlier in the day, but there weren't many Okie Pies left by late afternoon. The staff members were friendly and the ambiance was pleasant. Worth a stop, if you're driving through!”
