“Nice travel stop that's pretty easy to get off and on the freeway. It was pretty busy when we stopped both times but we were able to get a pump right away. The restrooms were clean and the store had a lot of different items for food and travel. There is a small fenced grassy dog park right outside with a picnic table inside of it.”

“This is where Esaw and Amy and their children have worked since the day I got to this town. They are the bright spot of my day. Recently and most unfortunate, we lost Esaw. The family and the community was devastated at such a great loss, especially his lovely wife Amy. However, her children rolled up their sleeves and picked up the slack and brought the family business right back to the booming business that they knew when their father was here. Its so amazing to see the love and the care they take for one another. So do this favor for them, if you buy scratcher tickets and you have a winner, take it into their store. You will get your money for it and so will this family that has went through so much!”

“My load had shifted hauling an oversized load at 1 in the morning with many steel parts below my large load and zain came out without hesitation to help me when he saw that I needed a second pair of hands. He was finished with his shift and still came out to help me. This man is the prime example of being a good American in a time when we need it the most. He came out and was helping adjust some very heavy steel part get me back on the road safely. Thank you for helping me out Zain. Pilot you are lucky to have a man like this on your team. Thank you”

“Lived here almost 3 years and never bothered to even go to this place. As of 12/8/21 regular unleaded was $4.12 a gallon this morning. The next cheapest in town is $4.29! How I never noticed this place is beyond me. They will absolutely be getting all my business now. Also, very friendly staff and very clean store.”

“On this Thanksgiving morning I am thankful for the Flying J in Tehachapi! We stop both ways on our drive whether we need to or not (usually don't need to). Best gas station that I've ever been to, it feels like stopping in with family while we are on our journey. When we are traveling with others we can't wait to introduce them to "our" gas station.The pizza is amazing! The snack/beverage selection is on point. The minute we walk in the door we are greeted by all of the smiling employees, that offer to help with whatever we need.Cherry on top? All of the customers are on the same vibe too, always holding the door as we enter & exit (we do too), give you a smile or a hearty hello.Maybe there's something in the air up there but this is a special place”

He is always kind to everyone that comes in his doors and genuinely cares how people are doing. If your not doing good he will take the time to stop and listen. “Last night a kind and thoughtful Faststrip, lady store manager in Tehachapi, CA provided kindness and great assistance for my autistic grandson and myself. My carkeys, phone and purse accidently got locked in my car and we had to wait inside Faststrip out of the cold and rain until road service arrived. You hired a million dollar employee when you brought her onboard. She actually gave her dinner to my grandson. I was amazed at her generosity. Thank you from the bottom of my heart..”

“We went to two different Loves Travel Stops today, one this morning in Lake Havasu Arizona (excellent coffee) the other 275 miles away in Tehachapi California. Both locations were very busy the Tehachapi location shared space with a McDonald's and a Subway. This location was rocking. The stores and facilities were clean and attended by friendly employees. Their gas price was a deal compared with most all the other competitors we noted. Loves has more gas and diesel pumps than any place I've seen. The stores are fully stocked with just about anything you might need almost like a Walmart they have everything. Plenty of parking, and a nice large pet area If you need to take a break and stretch your legs or need to go shopping, your hungry, fill up your tank. Be sure to stop by Loves these centers will take care of all your needs”

“First off, it's got chevron gas! Plus restroom access. But it's got great looking fried chicken, but I got the corn dogs and deep fried burritos. Also other foods, but I was in a hurry, it was called Bobby Salazar's. Customer service was good, the food server handed me the food and the cashier handed me the mustard, I'm guessing because of covid-19. They looked really good, only issue, they weren't hot, just Luke warm, what a disappointment. Oh well, I got gas and bathroom break, and man, Tehachapi was windy and cold, I thought I was in Chicago!”

“KRISPY KRUNCHY CHICKEN at ValeroI just got the Buffalo and BBQ wings and have to say they were big, juicy on the inside and appropriately crispy outside.The flavor was nice with a tiger of spicy on the Buffalo style wing (I consider myself an expert and connoisseur on all things Buffalo Wings!), the BBQ style were sweet but no overly so. Tangy and delicious!The only downside was no Bleu Cheese dip to go with the wings as tradition dictates but it's early...All in all very good, 4 stars and hope they can earn the fifth star on my next visit!!!”

“On a vacation get away to Tehachapi and needed a few things for our room, so we headed down to the chevron, which has the coolest market. Everything from food to house slippers and a neck pillow. Customer service was awesome. Shout out to Jackie. We had a good time talking to her. She was super friendly and helpful. This a cool spot for a small town.”
