“We recently switched to Altadena pet hospital for our two dogs and two cats and we really love it. We used to go to a vet in echo park that while they had so many five star reviews, it felt like everytime we went we were seeing new doctors and having to re-explain our pets medical history. It also always felt like they cared more about the money than the well being of our pets. Dr. Sahi is very knowledgeable and friendly. Our cat has some chronic health issues and he has been very attentive with him - researching alternative treatment routes and finding the right path for him. He also will only recommend something if it's truly worth doing for your pet, rather than trying to upsell you unnecessary or risky treatment. They are a small town vet, so the waiting room is small, parking lot is small, and sometimes there is a longer wait to see the doctor - but I've always experienced great customer service and a super friendly staff. Anytime I call I am on hold for no more than a few minutes if at all - which is very rare for vets in this area. One of our dogs is also very nervous and dog reactive. They said he can wait in the car until his appointment time and then use the side entrance to avoid seeing other pups which we love. I talked to a few folks in the waiting room and one couple had been coming there for 13 years, and the other couple 10 years. That was a huge selling point for us!”
“This office is amazing! The phone staff is kind and helpful. We were helped promptly in the office and Dr. Dong and her assistants were kind, and knowledgeable. I wish that it was closer (we are in Bakersfield) because your office is wonderful!”
“The staff is so kind and helpful! The front desk is really nice and the vet team is as well. Appreciate they help you figure out next steps for your pet without you feeling forced to go all out and test for everything if you cant afford it. They find a good balance to help your pet one step at a time. Also the wait is always fairly short and reasonable which i really appreciate as well. And they seem to genuinely care and want to help! I had been going to a different vet for years prior until i moved, and i'm shocked at how much nicer and efficient and helpful this vet clinic and staff is. They have helped my dog and cat so much and i'm so thankful!!!”

“I wouldn't easily trust any other vets for the sake of my dogs' health other than Dr Christina Fan at the Pasadena Pets Vet. Very knowledgeable yet honest with her opinions and recommendations, always giving two sides of the story, so as a pet owner, I am able to make a sound decision weighing out the pros and cons. knowledge and integrity are two key factors for a good vet.”

“This is a great business. They are always friendly, helpful, and professional whether you need an appointment, prescription refill, or just have a question, they are there to help. Our veterinarian was Dr Navia. She is a superb clinician, has great surgical skills and is very gentle with animals. She treated our dog for a bad heart valve and heart failure over a couple of years. When his disease progressed and we decided on euthanasia to prevent suffering she was very skillful at the procedure and provided us emotional support as well. Everyone at the facility is service oriented. You will never feel like you are bothering them and never feel like they are in it for the money. A simply great group of people. As a retired family doctor I give them my best recommendation,”
“Today was our first visit. We found the staff professional, friendly, kind and patient with our squirrelly pup. I think we have found a new vet. Thank you to the staff at Crescenta Canada Pet Hospital”

“It’s nice to totally trust your vet. It’s also so clear how much everybody loves animals here. They’re so sweet to our cats and take all the time we need to answer our questions.”
“We've been bringing our dogs to Dr. Gil and staff for many years now. Very patient and caring individuals. They recently had a renovation and the office looks great!”
“The Vets here is amazing. I think they might be stretched thin though. The supportive staff didn't explain how to apply the topical medicine very well and they seemed a little disorganized. It feels like the process needs an office manager to coordinate support staff. Prices alway felt high, but this is my first vet experience, so take that with a grain of salt.”
“Honest and affordable care. The dr immediately diagnosed and treated my pup's ear infection and you could see my dog's instant relief. So grateful to have access to this local vet. Definitely recommend! (And please support small businesses!)”
“The front staff are kind a supportive, the vet tech came out and took the time to love on and relax my dog, and the vet was thorough and communicative about my dog's history and next steps. They're quick with scheduling and have answers for questions like what's the best pet insurance. We (my dog and I) couldn't more highly recommend.”
“In regards to a review about unfair vet prices and preying on pet owners. Veterinary care in general is expensive. My sons dogs ear infection cost him 750 dollars…an ear infection. This is a dog too keep that in mind not an exotic…of course exotic care will cost more their exotics. If you want to talk about preying on the owners… my experience with that cost me 8 months of vet visits and 2 surgeries costing over 3500 dollars only for this so called “rabbit vet” to tell me he doesn’t know what’s wrong. When just 1 visit with Dr. Silpa ( who is an amazing exotics vet) took one look into my little bunnies mouth and quickly diagnosed him with advanced dental disease. If I had taken my bunny there from the beginning over all I would have SAVED money. So it REALLY does matter to find a good QUALITY vet who knows what they’re doing to take care of your special friends.
Fast forward 4 months my bunny has been a happy hoppy bunny and no more roller coaster rides for him thanks to Dr Silpa!”

“we got here at 6:15am and waited 1 hour to get in, signed in and filled out new patient paperwork, then waited another hour in the parking lot for them to call us in. we were honestly shocked to get called in early because we were just here to get our cat spayed and was expecting to wait 4 hours. it cost $240 to get our 7 pound, 1 year old, female cat spayed!”

“I always feel cared for and confident when I go to Hillcrest Prt Hospital. All staff are efficient, kind, and helpful. Dr Odet is a wonderful vet. She cares, she listens, she loves my dogs and cats. And they love her! Thank you for your care.”
“This is the best animal hospital ever! The vets, techs and reception are all so caring and knowledgeable. Dr. Ahmad is always so happy to discuss the intricacies of my dog's health issues and thoroughly explain all of the options available for her. I feel like I learn so much when I'm there and nothing is ever forced on me.I'm also always shocked at the affordability when it comes time to pay, which is a nice change from the shock you get at corporate animal hospitals :] I've also never had to wait more than 5 minutes after appointment time. They are super efficient and well-organized.They also work with rescues to get them affordable care. I genuinely can't recommend it enough.”
“I have had two vet visits at Banfield. Both times I saw Dr Chen, who was awesome. She took the time to explain everything and answer all our questions. There was also a vet tech at the first visit whose name I believe was Brian. He was also awesome and took the time to talk to us and explain everything. The receptionist working at the first visit was wonderful, but the receptionist working there at the second visit was rude. Other than that, I highly recommend them.”
“The doctors are great here. We have been going to them 15 years and I feel like they have added years to the lives of my dogs. I had two labs live to be 18 and 17 when both diagnosed with bad forms of cancer. I think the kindest thing they ever did was to do surgery on a little poodle we found that was a mess. Tumor covering her lower body they examined her and said it is not pretty but we can remove it! No promises made but were straight with us that if they did not think they could save they would tell us. They did the surgery and we had a new dog that gave us joy for five more years. The last thing is they are also very compassionate when it is time to say goodbye even when you don't want to. All this makes them the best vet combo ever.”
“I have been going to Dr Tang since the mid '90's, when I had a pet cockatiel with my two sons, and more recently since 2007, when my husband and I got our first dog. He saved our dog, Spencer about 15 years ago. He'd had a seizure out of the blue, when he'd accidentally eaten rat poison outside without our knowing it. Dr Tang not only saved Spencer, but that dog went on to live another 10 years almost! Most recently our dog Popper has some autoimmune disease, and Dr Tang has seen us almost 10 times over the past 2 months, trying his best to figure out how to treat this 7-year-old (young!) dog. We have all the confidence in Dr Tang's ability, expertise, and most importantly in his compassion. As others have mentioned, Dr Tang doesn't have great bedside manner with the humans who visit his practice, but he so obviously cares about our pets (his patients, as he said this morning), that I will keep going to him forever. And he is so reasonable, I sometimes wonder how he stays in business! God Bless Dr Tang!”
“I've been working with a lot of different vets as I travel a lot, but no one comes close to Dr. Ben. His energy, helpfulness, attitude, and kindness are unparalleled. Do yourself a favor and work with him to cut through the bullshit.”
“They are probably the best Vet Clinic I have ever been to. Dr. Robins was great and attentive to my little Ellie (cat). She truly cared about her well-being and focused on getting her better instead of adding unnecessary services.
When you first walk in, you feel welcomed and everyone seems so happy to work there. They treat all the animals with respect and care. They have a waiting area inside and outside as well, which I think is great for our nervous furry friends.
The wait time is a little high, but it is so worth it. They are literally focusing on every single animal and making sure they get the best service. So, of course, it will take some time. They do their best to take in as many appointments as possible so there is no walk-in availability.
But if you call on the same day the moment they open, they might just let you in for a same day appointment. It's not a guarantee, though.
They accept care credit, and if eligible, sunbit. I think it is amazing because not many vets have options for payment plans besides care credit.
I think options like these are great for people like me who have more than 1 furry friend.
I really suggest giving them a try. They really won't disappoint. They are super open about their prices, which honestly are not even remotely close to high. And the best part is they don't try to over sell!
Great quality at an affordable price. You just can't beat that!”
“I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service.
The ambiance here is always inviting and comfortable.
Both my furrbabies receive great care here!
My babygirl just got spayed & they called for a follow up , much appreciated.”
“I really like the staff here. They clearly care about animals. The veterinarians are attentive and take their time with their patients. I very much appreciate that I didn't feel like the doctor wasn't rushing me through to get to the next patient.”

“I was really happy with their service and flexibility. I went in after walking out of my regular vet because the bill was too high and they would not give me any alternative options. After paying crazy amounts in vet bills for various situations in the past few months I was starting to feel financially manipulated by vets so I shopped around a bit and echo park gave me a rough estimate over the phone and was very flexible in person. I went in twice for follow ups which I might have been afraid to do somewhere else. Very grateful for them accommodating me and my kitty!
*Its a small office with limited patients per day, so call ahead*”
“Dr. O’Dwyer and the team are absolutely the best and we are so thankful for everything they have done to care for our 2 senior dogs. We had many visits including annual exams, dental and emergencies throughout the years (since 2018) and we were always given an excellent care during each visit. Easy to make appointments and we are always seen right on time. They treat our dogs like their own and all our questions are answered thoroughly and all issues are addressed with the best treatment plans. We are so lucky to have the most caring and knowledgeable team as our vet. Thank you Dr.O’Dwyer, Angie, Victor, Jeremy and everyone at the hospital ! You guys are the best!”
“I brought my Frenchie here for his exam and last set of vaccines. He was treated with so much love. Elena and Paola in the front desk are wonderful! Elena was thorough on what my pup needed and passed along all my questions to the vet before speaking with him. I will be bringing him here for his care.”
“This place has fair prices and in my experience, minimal wait time compared to other vets. The parking is a little dicey, but it doesn’t bother me since my experience was positive otherwise. One of their employees, Angel, is super kind and was extremely helpful.”
“Dr. Chung is a very warm-hearted, bright-aura, confident and reliable female doctor. I don't like lazy doctors, but she is quick to deal with problems and make decisions. She speaks English, Japanese and Korean fluently, which really helped me out when I was panicking at other hospitals. The room temperature was just right. My baby was wrapped in warm cloths and pillows and was able to be hospitalized in a very good environment. There are many cold places in the hospital, like a refrigerator, and my cat gets cold easily, so I was very relieved. I met the receptionist and other doctors, and everyone was kind. I will continue to come here.Thank you so much.”
“Very clean facility, professional and friendly front office workers and very nice nurse and doctor. They answered all our questions and addressed any concerns. Thank you!”
“My family has been bringing our cats here for decades. The reason is the superb care they receive from the staff. Highly professional, extremely friendly (both to animals and humans). I highly recommend this place.”
