I had a leaky shower valve to fix and the kind lady helped me step through the items that I needed to complete the repair. Fortunately the store is not far away, so going back and forth to the store while diagnosing the issue wasn't an issue. A HUGE plus for this local gem of a hardware store. The parts and tools I purchased were of good value and made in Taiwan. Fixing the leaky shower was made much easier by this store. If one is close by, I recommend stopping here first to find parts and small supplies for your DIY repair.”

“This is a throwback to the old fashioned Hardware Store from years ago, before the big box stores (Home Depot, etc) showed up. Fifty years ago, there ware half a dozen of them in the local area, now just two that I know of... I stopped in here recently for a special item.Noticed first that they have EVERYTHING .. the store is packed with every kind of item. Next, there was alot of helpful bilingual staff for such a small shop. Also noticed quite a few contractors in the aisles, shopping for hard to find items. I've been back several times now ... more conveniently located than the local big box places.”

“I went to this location with little expectation of getting my questions answered because I was certain I had irreversibly messed up my apartment walls by retouching spots with the wrong kind of paint. I had the right color, but was using an egg shell paint on a flat painted surface...which I didn't notice until I had retouched the entire townhouse before realizing that it was drying with a shine instead of flat. I had covered all our walls with these shiny spots and it looked horrible. At this Dunn-Edwards location, I was helped by Stephen, who was so patient and supportive in guiding me through how to potentially correct my mistakes. He was kind, informative, and eager to get the right match. And he was 100% right in his suggestions. It worked beautifully and my horrible amateur painter mistakes were corrected! I'm so very grateful for his help!”

They were genuinely excited about my project and went out of their way to provide guidance and recommendations. Their insights and suggestions were invaluable, helping me make informed decisions on the best products for my needs. The quality of the products available is outstanding. “Duplicated key here. $0.88 per key. I have to go back the 2nd time since the first one was made by an elderly worker which didn’t work. I couldn’t turn my lock at all. I went back to the store to let them know. They were good about it sent me back to the key service department. This time was a younger worker who made the key for me and no charge. I went home and tried it, it just worked. Thanks, although I have to go back twice.”

“Great selection for a store its size. The fasteners selection is especially comprehensive. Staff are always game to help problem-solve when an odd DIY question comes up. Doesn't have the options of a big box store, but worth trying your very local place before going to the orange one! My recollection is that they don't accept cards for transactions under $5 - good way to get rid of change.”

“I recently purchased a home that has a Calimet double swing gate that was installed by the previous owner 3-4 years ago. Unfortunately, the previous owners left me with no instructions on how to operate the gate and they did not leave enough remote controls for me. I was happy to find the Calimet website with some instructions and videos. I did have to contact the company to get some answers to additional questions that I had. I spoke to Andy at Calimet several times and he was always very helpful. He taught me a few things about my gate and helped me program a few more remotes. Now that I know how to operate everything, I’m happy to report that everything has been working flawlessly. I’d recommend this company for gate openers based on their customer service support and quality of the product.”

“Awesome paint supply store. The store is very clean and organized. All the paints are in order. Most of them are in order of color. Customer service is really friendly, very helpful. A/C is always on, always a plus for a hot day. The process of mixing the paint is rather quicker than I thought. But, then again they are probably just good at their job. They do offer a waiting area with chair's and a table, also they offer coffee for when you're waiting.”

“Great store. Obviously the exterior is really cute and old timey, but the inside is great too. Reminds me of local hardware stores I'd go to with my dad as a kid. The vibe and smell is nostalgic. I was looking for a kind of specific little hardware piece- I brought one for example and the attendant walked me over, and helped me find it. He was diligent and patient, and taught me what the actual thing was called. (A hitch pin, if you're curious) I was able to buy just a handful just as many as I needed, and was on my way. I honestly would love another reason to visit but I'm just glad this place exists”

“They just left my house after delivering my water heater that I called and ordered at 3:45 pm today. The Lone Rooter recommended them to me as my water heater went out this morning. This company was very responsive and wonderful. I could not believe that they would come from Pasadena to Tujunga on an hour notice to deliver my water heater. I'm glad I called because not only did they have the material available, but they had an abundance in stock. Christian assisted me on the phone and had my order ready by the time we ended the call. When I arrived he greeted me with my order ready at the register for a fast transaction and gave me his business card for any future needs. Since then, I have become a regular and every time I go in, he and his team are always friendly and helpful. Christian also routinely checks in via-text to see if we need anything for that particular day.
