“My dog may not be the biggest fan of baths which is the primary reason we come here ($54 for 4 wash tokens with their buy 3 get 1 deal), but he's super excited to come anyway, each tub is prepared with clean towels and a free treat, and he knows he can always turn on the charm and get more free treats from the friendly staff!”
“Wow! We called for carriers for our cats for our flight and Damian knew the exact ones for TSA. When we came in, he went and got the carriers and he also recommended an awesome calming serum for our cats on the flight. He was amazing, knowledgeable, and just easy to talk to. A+ service. My Mother, my husband and I commented as we walked out of Pet Express, what a great guy and it’s rare you find that kind of customer service. Anyways, felt like I had to talk about our experience, because it is rare. Thanks Damian for your exceptional customer service! All the best to you in your future.

“The employees are awesome here. They remember your pet's name, and they are so helpful if you can't find something, even suggesting something else if they don't have exactly what you are looking for. It's like visiting friends but in a shopping atmosphere. I travel 20 min to come to this particular location, even though I have one 10 min closer.”
“Best place ever. I bring my conure for grooming and always come out happy dancing ?. Staff very knowledgeable and very nice interaction with birds.
I live 45 min away and there are bunch of places around me, but I prefer to come here since I don’t trust any place to groom my conure.
Also noted their boarding rooms very clean and birds there are all singing. The cages in the boarding room all are wide and places in a room with bunch of windows.
Definitely recommend this place if you want to groom or board your bird.”

“Review: Exceptional Service at Pet Food Express - Martinez
After a visit to the vet, we were advised to switch our 3 month old boxers food, and I found myself feeling overwhelmed by the options available at several pet food stores. The sheer number of brands, ingredients, and dietary requirements was too much. I gave up and decided to try again the next day!
My perspective changed when we walked into Pet Food Express in Martinez. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were greeted by friendly employees who welcomed us warmly, the initial impression set the tone for an enjoyable shopping experience.
After a few minutes of browsing the food selections, Christopher, a remarkably knowledgeable staff member, approached us. He asked if we needed assistance, actually Christopher said, "do you know what you're looking for or is there something that I can help you find?"
I shared the information from our vet, and in no time, Christopher was walking us through all the food options that matched the recommendations of our vet! Not pointing out, not try this or try that actually walking us through the food options that met the vets recommendations!
His depth of knowledge was truly impressive. He could explain not only the different products available but also the specific ingredients and their benefits. I found myself standing there, amazed at how easily Christopher rattled off details like protein percentages and ingredient sourcing. It was reassuring to have such expertise guiding us through the decision-making process.
Christopher also informed us about promotions, like the buy 3 get the 4th free deal, which encouraged us to explore the various toys and supplements available (which we wanted to buy anyways!).
By the end of our visit, we felt confident about the dog food we selected for our new Boxer puppy!
This experience transformed us into lifelong customers. Not only did we get the puppy food we needed, but we also gained a reliable resource for any future pet care products. “Worth the drive from Pleasant Hill!
Our two bro/sis rescue tiny pups had it rough from the start. We have been taking them weekly for their puppy socialization classes. Because they are bonded it was suggested we take them separately- which was the right call.
They are making great progress little by little.
The staff is also kind and very helpful!

The food he was on when we adopted him was causing him troubles so we went into PFE and Rachel taught us so much about dog food, I had zero clue about! “This place is great! I was headed for a road trip with my brand new 10wk old pup (risky I know). She totally outfitted us with a great new car seat and all the right chew toys, harness and treats. The lady (possibly owner) could not have been more helpful! She was knowledgeable and guided me to make some great purchases because of her advice. I can’t wait to go back as puppy grows. Btw he loves his car seat and was an angel with just the right toys and treats. I highly suggest Mollys for all your dog gear!”
“I brought my cat here after she had been in a cone of shame for almost 8 weeks recovering from a tail injury. They had good availability for an appt on my day off and were great at communicating the services included. They listened to my questions and concerns. I also appreciated that they came out and asked me if they could do a flea treatment after taking her back and seeing she had fleas. It was only $15 extra so I was cool with it. The appt was about 2.5 hours and they called me when she was ready to be picked up. She came back all clean and smelling like flowers ? I would recommend them to anyone with a cat who is terrified at the thought of having to bathe them at home. The staff at Clip n Clean who bathe cats are the true heroes ?”

“The manager, David, and staff member Tessa are so knowledgeable and helpful. This store is the best Petco I’ve visited and I travel in an rv and have been in many Petco stores. Their recommendations and care and concern have helped my dog, Lucy, get the best food and treats for her health.
