“This little market with compact aisles has a lot. Great local food shop with some limited non food items. Staff at times hard to find, but kind and quick to help. Suprised at how much they had available and such good quality.”

“It's like a farmers market meets a bodega. What a cool place to have nearby for high quality ingredients. Was making a recipe that called for green onions and didn't have any. Strolled over to Dan's and found them, along with so much other fresh produce. Prices aren't crazy either. They also have a GIANT pumpkin on display and a contest for who can guess its weight. Super fun idea. Happy to have this type of place in the neighborhood.”

“The staff is very warm and friendly, and just about all your bases are covered there, for a neighborhood market. Good liquors, beers, a few good wines in the back (OZV Zin was a nice surprise) and I saw dog food and cat food too.”

“Awesome way the store is design but there is a refrigerator in the back not being used and I think it be should be with the other and unless if it's not working or broken then that make more since but I think the refrigerator that not being used should be use like all the other and there should be price tags on everything there is in the store and one last thing that store should take ebt cuz every store takes it so this store should take it to”

“Great place!! I've shopped here for 15 years. Always great customer service. The family knows me well. They're wonderful. Back when I was in middle school, I'd try to get here every morning before school to avoid having to eat the school lunch.”

“My friend is constantly looking for some Eastern European food. She also lives in MN and has been craving to get back to this place which we went to yesterday. My god, the potato pie here made by someone that works here is just astounding. You can get in the market in the frozen food section. We had some beef sausages and found some plum wine that looks amazing although she said it might taste a bit like ether. She's going to share some with her brothers when she sees them in a couple of days. I'll be back when out of town friends come to visit to spoil them with homemade treats.”

“Love All the Vendors! Ibarra farms is the best by far! Max and Jerry are awesome! I love mi abuelita's berry farms! Jerry and Max come out to Alameda on Tuesdays. All of them always brighten my day! The freshest produce, anywhere from cremini mushrooms, broccoli, arugula, spinach, etc. The best customer service and the ambiance is very welcoming and organized. The Alameda Farmer's Market is my favorite part of the day because I get to see both Jerry and Max! Small talk and seeing how I'm doing is a genuine question each Tuesday, checking in with each other. Much love you guys!”

“They have an INCREDIBLE selection of craft beer selection and they let you buy singles! They are next door to "Craft Beer and Wine" which is how I found this place. I love Craft but they have crappy hours whereas Everest is pretty much always open when I go. I've gotten Heretic Evil 3 here before which is a pretty hard to get seasonal IPA. Street parking only but they aren't on a particularly busy section so it's always good.”

“Every time I come here, I find myself buying more than I expect to buy. Most of their prices is less than what you would find at your local grocery stores. Some of their stuff have odd flavors I never knew existed. If you look around, you can find some things that are ridiculous cheap. Make sure you check the dates on everything you buy because a lot of their stuff have short expiration dates. Great place to buy if you're not brand specific or looking for a specific item. Some really good finds I found today we're on the 16oz Red vines black licorice 2 for $0.97, 8oz Takis waves intense nacho chips $0.97, 10 pack yan yan cracker sticks with chocolate dip $2.99 and some 14.4oz honey graham crackers 5 for $0.97. That's not a typo. It really did ring up 5 for $0.97 at checkout. Store is always very organized and clean. Staff is friendly and nice. If your buying a lot, ask someone who is stocking the shelves if you can take a box or 2 to put your stuff in instead of buying bags. The boxes are clean since it's just food that have been in the boxes. If there's 1 thing I think they could do better, they need to be quicker at opening more checkout lanes. I was here late morning on Saturday and there were 2 cashiers and 2 very long lines. I was getting ready to abandon my cart until they opened another lane. Luckily everyone ahead of me moved over to the new lane so the wait to pay for my stuff was much shorter.”

“Cleanliness: 5Customer Service: 5Selection: 5Prices: med/highLucky Supermarket in Alameda really gets it right! Despite today’s steep grocery prices, their cleanliness and customer service are still top-tier. The store is spotless, and the selection always hits the mark, even with those hard-to-find items. Major props for the consistent quality in their produce and meat departments. Five stars all the way – they keep it ?”

“Great place, has a big variety of stuff for a tiny corner store. Wonderfully friendly owner and his son who are very accommodating and caring. I go out of my way to come here often even though I have a closer corner store to me.”

“Old school liquor store mart and deli vibes. Some nice table and chairs in the front. I got the heated sandwich that has hot pastrami and Turkey. This sandwich was beyond what I was expecting. Melty, spicy, mushrooms and peppers…so good. Got it with a toasted sourdough bun. For a little under $10 you can’t find anything like this anymore. Will be back!”

“Always clean, well-stocked with good quality items. It's a one-stop shop for groceries, fresh baked goods & freshly prepared meals to eat-in or take home. It's highlighted with a very nice wine shop & coffee shop. A great Alameda tradition!”

“They have a great variety of products ... I love going here because I usually find everything I'm looking for, without the crowd ...Yes, because it's a mom/pop store, I pay a lil bit more but it's worth the convenience of great parking, no crowd ... and at the end of it all, I only paid $3 to $5 more then going to a big store ...”

“I always stop by for some soda. They carry Mexican glass bottled sprite and coke which taste so much better than the American coke and that's why I like going here.”

“The store is well stocked, but pretty expensive for most items. I go here only for the items that I can't get at TJs or Grocery Outlet. That includes some specialty beer and good produce. Parking is never an issue, and self-checkout makes it fast if there are lines at the checkout.”

“Have to say , tonight was my 1st time coming here . Fantastic and polite service , extremely welcoming , & extremely rare these days”

“Living in the Bay Area, I think I prefer this Target over any anywhere else. For the most part, it's organized, and I'm able to find more employees if I need help. I like the selection, and they categorize all their items. I also feel like that I can find what I want. I had been going to the Emeryville location, but I like how not a lot of things are on the floor or missing from packaging.”

“The best Safeway I've ever been to. Best customer service. Hard workers. There to help. Clean ambiance. The very best. And so inclusive, thank you for promoting lunar new year in a country that overlooks the Asian American crisis. Thank you for always providing superior service. I love shopping at Safeway on Island Drive in Alameda, CA. It might not be the largest supermarket but it is dependable. Small but mighty. "Small" depends on who's comparing size. Hands down, my favorite Safeway ever!!!!”

“I pretty much love this Safeway! It is always well stocked and they have very friendly staff! Plus the parking lot is Farley big so there's always parking! Starbucks location inside of this store that's never bush and also has very friendly staff! Favorite Safeway hands down!”

“I usually come in here when I'm at Lincoln Park across the street. This is a decent sized market, good selection of drinks and snacks. Obviously it's located on High Street not too far from the High Street Bridge, and the 'market' part has a decent selection also. Limited parking as High street is usually kind of busy depending on the time of day, nice option for the area!!”

“A big, clean, well organized Safeway in Alameda!!The prices in Safeway have gone up, so download the App for the best deals, the just for you savings are good. In this store, I have always found what I'm looking for rather easily. Also, the fruit in this store seems to be a little fresher than other stores, in my opinion. Or maybe I just come once they have restocked.Located in the Alameda South Shore Shopping Center, there's plenty of parking here, and they also have the Safeway gas station available. One of the few Safeways I actually like shopping in!!”
