Foot Locker Revamped its NYC Flagship with "Home Court" Concept

Last month, Foot Locker Inc. reopened its flagship store at 112 W 34th St. in New York City, as part of new retail plans. The store introduced "Home Court," a basketball-focused shopping area created with Nike and Jordan Brand.

The updated store offers a basketball-themed shopping experience. It combines customer service with the newest products for use on and off the court from several brands.

Mary Dillon, President and CEO of Foot Locker Inc., said, "Foot Locker 'Home Court' represents a pivotal advancement in how we connect with sneaker enthusiasts and elevate the basketball experience, in collaboration with our brand partners."

The redesigned store includes:

- "The Clinic Digital Experience," where customers can test how high they jump to check sneaker performance

- 3D foot scanning technology by Aetrex to find the right shoe fit

- A design inspired by street basketball

Frank Bracken, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer of Foot Locker Inc., has high hopes for the renewed spot: "Our newly redesigned store stands as a testament to our leadership in sneaker and basketball culture. With the introduction of our new Foot Locker 'Home Court', this location sets a new benchmark."

While Nike and Jordan Brand products are a big part of the store, it also features other brands - Adidas, PUMA, New Balance, and Under Armour.

The location has something for the youngest fans as well - the new Kids Foot Locker area features an activity table, digital tools to help with sizing, and better product displays to appeal to families.

The company recently updated stores in New Jersey and Paris, and announced plans for new stores in Melbourne and Delhi.
