“I saw my new puppy on their website, and reached out to he number listed on their site. They were quick to respond, very friendly, and helpful. I scheduled an appointment to meat the puppies the day they became available for adoption. The place is unassuming from the outside, just a large box warehouse; but inside you find an interior that is built completely around their dogs. From the large massive play area, to the many spacious rooms peppered around the building, where each potential adopter can meet their new adoptee.

The staff was super friendly, not a one walked by without saying hello. They brought my first choice in to see me, and I spent a good amount of time cuddling, and getting lots of puppy loves. Yay stinky puppy breath, if you know you know. My wife made me see other puppies from the litter but the choice wasn’t even close. The staff swapped dogs, and helped me to greet each one. Otherwise they left me alone with the dog, only a buzzer away if I needed anything. I should note that they took incredible care to ensure their puppies were safe, requiring us to sanitize, and don protective booties, lest we track in anything which could make them sick. I genuinely felt that they were there first and foremost, and adoption secondly. I said the building was built around their charges, well the staff were equally aligned.

From first arriving, to departing with my new best friend, the entire experience was effortless, and I couldn’t be any happier. Photos are of my new puppy, name still forthcoming.”

“The growth and understanding of how to strategize and scale my retail business that I have gained over the past year through We Rise and the Retail Boot Camp is staggering. I’ve learned different ways to think about how customers experience my products, and consequently feel like I have a better grasp on how to strategize moving forward.”

“I got my new puppy from Love connection rescue and they arranged for her to be spade at Heidi's Village. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and welcoming. She was taken by a really kind Tech. They called to say she was awake and did very well. She is only a little over 2 lb so I was worried. They did an excellent job.”

“I took my cat in to be spade, and they were very kind with her and me! I was so nervous dropping off one of my fur family members, but they treated me with respect and told me everything that was going to happen. Her surgery went really well, and she healed quickly. And the price is right! I HIGHLY recommend.”

“Great little thrift store with a rotating variety of items. I've found multiple incredible values here. Plus unlike Goodwill, this store isn't paying executives six figure salaries and the money's actually going towards good causes.”

“Best part of February is when I get to go and purchase books. It’s easy here to find what your looking for and just as easy to take home a bag or two full of books. I would suggest making a list of books you want before going to help keep your goal books you want. Also have flexibility because sometimes a book just seem to pick you sometimes. Great people there to help you along the way if you need help or just want to talk about books that might also interest you. I will say reading others peoples take on books I would not normally get got me to step out of my normal. Your first time going make sure you have good shoes and be in comfy outfit and being a bag or to that can hold the book that chose to come home with you”

“Anyone who owns a home should have Habitat for Humanity ReStore on their Rolodex. It’s better to help someone in the community who may be in need of what you may be about to discard (if it’s in working order) rather than just throwing it away or waiting for trash collectors to pick it up off the curb and worse, sitting in your yard or garage being useless. You just might get a tax deduction out of it to boot! ReStore has been building homes, improved homes, and assisted Arizonans in need since 1985, and they need our help. If it’s a useful household product or tool, but not for you, this is the place to take it. You’ll be happy you did.”

“This place does an amazing job- really helping out the homeless with food & water, clothing and obtaining a government phone. During the peak hours of the summer when it's really hot, they let you stay inside Andre's house to cool off. Of course it's been known to be dangerous. There's a lot of desperate people seeking help a lot of hurt. We are at the end of times.... The devil's playground.”

“Today I had the honor and privilege to volunteer/participate in preparing groceries for the beautiful families in the community.

The team onsite worked harmoniously and with true heart felt compassion to make sure the families they supported got what they needed and were treated with care, love, dignity and respect.

I am so grateful that I found them. There is power in numbers. The families may have left with items they needed but I also left with something. Helping others navigate challenging times is truly food for the soul. It is nourishment that can’t be bought. Giving of your most valuable commodity (time) it’s a powerful uplifting soul soothing gift that is available to anyone who looks for a need to fill.

Thank you to this amazing team! I may not have much but I have time to help others. I’ll be back.”

“Went to tacos chiscos with a friend for the first time today. Been wanting to go for months. Well I'll tell you it was definitely worth the wait. One of the best Mexican food places I've been to and I've been to many in the valley since 1989. It was so authentic & fresh and so DELICIOUS!! The ELOTE alone was the bomb and the tacos were packed full of tender, delicious juicy meat and absolutely wonderful; the coconut shrimp was really, really good-would definitely order again and just the entire experience was nice. It's a very nice restaurant- cozy and clean. I would highly recommend going there if you're looking for an authentic Mexican meal for a good price!”

“St Vincent De Paul meal serving experience The in Phoenix runs such an efficient, welcoming, and beautiful program. I have been a part of the Friday morning meal service, where volunteers and staff prep and serve a large population of underserved, unhoused, and low income folks from the Phoenix area. The food is provided by local vendors and sources, and we typically get together around 6:00-6:15 am on Friday morning to slice up bread and prep for the meal service. In addition to food, we generally provide coffee. We typically kick the meal off with a prayer, which is the only overtly religious part of the experience. The staff and volunteers treat everyone with kindness and respect. For the breakfast service, we generally keep the doors open until 8am, and sometimes serve up to about 600 people. Every time that I have volunteered here, the folks coming in for food have been polite and grateful. I highly recommend volunteering your time with this organization. Regardless your background or religion, we could use your help, and this is a lovely way to give back to the Phoenix community and help others who are going through a rough time. In terms of volunteering, you just need to get in touch with the organizer (information can be found on the website) and let them know you are planning on coming. They may ask for some basic contact info-- it is a very seamless experience!”
