“I absolutely love this organization. I volunteer here from time to time. The staff is incredibly nice and events are officially run. This is a great opportunity to have children volunteer as well.I will be going back to feed my starving children for volunteer events in the future. This is a great event if you are organizing a volunteer event for your company. Not only are you making a huge impact, it’s pretty fun.”

“The Elks Lodge is my kind of place! Not only do they offer wallet-friendly drinks that won't put a dent in your pocket, but their spaghetti and meatballs are also simply delicious. And to top it all off, they bring the night to life with live music. It's the perfect recipe for a fantastic evening out. ??? If you're looking for good times, great food, affordable drinks, and a place where to give back to the community the Elks Lodge has you covered! ??”

“Entrance was a tad confusing, the U-Hauls in the lot were blocking much of the signage. Walkways inside didn’t seem well planned for foot traffic particularly leading to the cows & horses. But, still a good experience for young kids and the free roaming baby goats were fun to interact with.”

“I've been installing technology for years. Some of the work is decommissioning tech. It kills me to throw things away. The folks at AZStRUT are fantastic. At least most of my tech stuff has a good home now. These folks are doing great things for people and the planet.”

“Stopped in for the first time after donating. It's clean, organized and the staff is friendly. This will now be the only place I donate to. They only sell good items. No tears, no stains. They have a monthly Calendar & scorecard so that you can get discounts. They give 25% off for donations. And it's well stocked with military discounts on Tuesday. They have discounts every Wednesday. I'm so glad I found this place. Love supporting a business that helps veterans Bonus I found a frame for my characturist, $3.00. Win-win”

“My ten year old daughter has had a magnificent experience with EVCT. Over the past year, or so, she has attended Audition Workshops, been cast in Main Stage productions and a Junior Main Stage production, taken camps, and attended classes. Staff are very competent, highly enthusiastic about all aspects of theatre arts (writing, acting, dancing, stage management, directing, make up, costume design, music, choreography, set design, tech etc etc), nurturing, and there is strong overall sense of community. My daughter has undoubtedly grown in various ways - willingness to try new experiences, confidence acting on stage in front of ~200 people at the fantastic Mesa Arts Center theatre, made good new friends, carefully managed her time, flexed her memory skills, dealt with the setback of not being cast, been a responsible and positive cast member, improved her acting, dancing, and singing skill. Thank you to all at EVCT for cultivating such a safe, welcoming, and encouraging space for children who want to try theatre! There seems to be something for every young aspiring actor at EVCT.”

“I love ❤️ the Salvation Army. They have a heart for people. I had a need one time , and they helped me. Yes , I now try to do something nice for other people in need. I want to be a better person. Give of myself of what I can do. It’s not much, but sometimes little things can mean a lot. Godbless the Savation Army , and the work they do for others . I am humble to them . Amen ?”

“This place was my turning around point for my life. I had just gone through a divorce and this place helped me get back on my feet and realize that there was so much in life to live for!! It’s run by great people and I’ll forever be grateful to them for the time I got to spend there. If anyone has seen negative reviews, it’s from a bunch of angry kids who didn’t want to get their lives together. This place truly will help those who go through this program.”

“I have been here multiple times when I was just turning an adult and 18 years old and twice again after getting out of the joint. I was there when the original owner ran the place (Margie Frost) and after it was taken over by A new leaf. Both times it was a great experience. I was hard headed when I was young for sure but they were patient with me both times. ? I learned so much from this place and gained tools to continue on the right path in life and it has worked now for 12 years and I'm at a better place in life than I have ever been. I own my own house and vehicles have had the same job for going on 6 years and have a family of my own. I am so thankful for east valley men's center.”

“A lot of these reviews are aimed at the thrift store part of Sunshine Acres. While i can’t say that people did or didn’t experience what they claim, I will say that the prices are reasonable for what they are getting. Not only that, all proceeds are spent towards the cause. The children are very well taking care of there and LOVED. This is not your average “Orphanage”. They gain a family here and are given the opportunity to have many if not all the things that other children on the outside have. Sure, not all children like it because many don’t like having boundaries or rules because they didn’t have them prior to arriving. Most love it there and don’t want to leave. You don’t have to take my word for it, take the time to volunteer and see for yourself. Meet the children of Sunshine Acres!”

“Streets of Joy is nothing short of a true blessing because 9f those who volunteer their time, energy and efforts to help individuals and families who are in need. The food boxes that they provide help not only to feed the body, but it feeds the souls to restore their faith in humanity. This group is there to help when you least expect it and when you need it the most. I cannot thank them enough for everything that they have done not only for me, but for the entire community around them.”

“My mom had a lot of household goods she wanted to donate and we came across this place. After asking a ton of questions, we really like the concept and what they are doing for people, and we think it is a very worthy and worthwhile cause. I hope the families going through their program are appreciative of the fact that a program like this exists to get them back on their feet. I know I've had to struggle with homelessness when I was younger and with my children, and I thank God something like this existed for me (although in another state) to help me get on my feet and it taught me how to stay on them. Thank God there are still people in the world who want to help other people ?. If I still lived in AZ I would volunteer here every chance I got!”

“I read a review of a woman saying that they need to inspect the food before giving it out. Frankly they VOLUNTEER their time and the food is free so inspect it yourself before you feed it to your family. That's your job. They have done their part and way more just by volunteering to aid people that they themselves could use some lessons on giving back. Beggars cant be choosers. And inspect your free food yourself before feeding it to yours. Mold is bound to happen considering the food is donated by more beautiful kind hearted people. . Sorry I had to say...”
