We were stranded in flagstaff and Gene from the route 66 location went above and beyond to help us, he not only was polite his customer service was the best ever ,we need more like him.he made a stressful situation easier.thank you so much for your help.

I’d leave no stars if I could. Made a reservation about a month ago. Got the confirmation email, a reminder and then the reminder day of pickup. I go to get my rental and I sit there for about 20 minutes and they tell me they can’t find my reservation. I gave them the number and to no avail they said “you must have been randomly deleted and not notified”. Makes no sense to me because I have all these reminders sent from you guys on my phone. I asked about the 5 trucks they have parked outside but they are ALL BROKEN. I told them I move tonight and the guy behind the counter told me I was S.O.L. and couldn’t help me. So I had to go pay double for a U-haul. This place will not help you in anyway.Also while I was there, this lady came in for a rental car and immediately came back because the rental car they gave her was metal on rotor on all 4 wheels. Didn’t even make it out of the parking lot.02/01/2024.

Rented a truck and drove it from Peoria, AZ and didn’t even make it North to Flagstaff. Call road side assistance and waited 6 hr to tell me that the truck would not make it to my final destination. I drove to the local dealer and they told me I needed to leave the store because they were closing. They literally kicked me out and left me stranded. I called everyone and their mother and they told me I can pay for hotel or rental car. No help rude people don’t care as long as they get there money. Who kicks someone out when it’s snowing and leaves them stranded. I will never use them again. All of them are rude inconsiderate people. Their truck breaks ooppps sorry but screw you. You’re on your own.

Gene is the manager at the flagstaff budget rent a car. I have worked with him all summer. Respectful and reliable. You rarely meet people who are this nice in today's world. He explains everything. The nice and most wonderful sentence to hear was " we look forward to seeing you." Who goes that far nowadays? Bought a tear to my eye and a smile to my face. Made having to get a rental car bareable and a permanent customer.

Had the worst experience with budget from beginning to end. I moved across states and the 1. Did not honor the price they originally quoted me in an email and charged me over $200 dollars more than originally quoted. 2. The truck was horrendous, dirty check engine light on and front passenger tire was messed up. 3. When returning the vehicle the associate argued with us that because the fuel gage wasn't OVER the full line but on the full line it wasn't full and they wanted to charge me an additional fee. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING THEIR SERVICE! I was disrespected, treated poorly and argued with every step of the way.

Budget completely dropped the ball after we went through two vehicle failures and a complete joke of a "roadside assistance". We would have been better served if they had told us up front that we were completely screwed in case of mechanical problems with our car.My advice: run away as fast as possible from Budget.

Scam Alert – My wife reserved a moving truck. Showed up right at 9am to pick it up. They told us at first that they didn’t have the truck there and we’d have to drive to the airport, 20 minutes away, to pick it up. Then they said they actually didn’t have a truck at all for us, and that they absolutely texted and emailed my wife the day before letting us know they didn’t have a truck for us. Nope. No text, no email.And not only didn’t they have our reserved truck but we would have to call customer service to cancel it. This is already sounding really scammy. Since we had a big day of moving, we drive over to U-Hal where wonderful professional people got us a truck (without a reservation mind you) in about 10 minutes. So easy.After moving all day my wife called Budget customer service the next day to make sure we weren’t charged, and not only had they charged us but had the audacity to charge us a no show fee as well, which is really scammy considering we showed up.This is borderline fraud. Will never, ever use Budget again!!!

An absolute joke of a business.Was able to book a truck on their website only to show up to tell me that all six trucks in their parking lot are out of service and I was out of luck.Staff and manager were of absolute no help -- absolutely worthless. Offered no solution except to tell me I was out of luck.Do not waste your time with these people.

Upon pick front desk guy was friendly fast service. However after picking up car I noticed the car was not cleaned dog hair all over back seat and trash under driver side seat. Then I was charged for late drop off which i returned it 1 1/2 early. NOT SATISFIED WITH BUDGET

TLDR Budget’s website allowed me to make a reservation, Budget didn’t have any of the equipment and did nothing to make it rightI made a reservation for a truck and car carrier a little over a day before I needed them. I got digital confirmation. When I went to pick up the truck, I was told there wasn’t a truck available. Not only that but apparently they don’t even do ANY tow reservations in Flagstaff. They were surprised I was even able to make the reservation, apparently they don’t take rentals less than 7 days in advance. And yet, there I was with all the confirmation information. Nothing on the website about this.Called customer service, they sent me to the “inventory manager” who told me there WAS truck, and to call the owner. Called the owner of both the Budget locations in town. No, they don’t have the truck after all. Not only that, they weren’t going to help me find a truck elsewhere or do anything to make it right. After some back and forth the owner stopped engaging and just kept repeating “we don’t have a truck for you” until I gave up.The website has no connection to the actual inventory available, customer service will do nothing for you. Do not EVER rent from this company.

Budget does not give any power or authority to the stores. I had to wait until after I turned in my van, that I got instead of the 12' truck I reserved, to call customer service to get it straightened out. I could've had another truck if they were allowed to change the batteries of the ones in the parking lot. But they have to tow their trucks to Phoenix to get any type of work done. How is this company even still in business. Must be nice to waste money to tow trucks hundreds of miles, just for a battery change. Oh yeah, you make up for it by charging the customers out the A**, for any and everything.DO NOT RENT FROM BUDGET!!!+

I rented a car through Hotwire. The agent was so helpful. We were headed to The Grand Canyon, Andy, the agent gave us excellent information about visiting The Grand Canyon. He also let us know that with the severe storm approaching the road in and out might close.

Worst customer service in my entire life. Kai (the employee working this morning 9/10/22) was extremely rude and combative. Threatening to call the police after I asked him why he was vacuuming a car when my 82 year old mother was standing at the counter waiting to turn in a rental car. I asked him to help her and the other lady waiting at the counter and he told me “its gonna be a while” as he was vacuuming a car. I explained that my mother and the other patron were waiting unattended at the counter. He again stated it’s going to be a while…I snipped back at him, “wow, great customer service”. His retort was “it’s about to get worse”! He then marched to the office and told my mother and me “to get out or I’m calling the police”. She was visibly upset and confused as to why he was yelling at her. We left and we’ll never do business with this branch ever again.I’m placing a call to corporate as well. I’d love to talk to the manager Darron Story about this also.
