“Had no expectations when arriving this morning, needed an oil change and my usual go to place changed hands and was not trust worthy anymore. This place was close to my house and I went fairly close to their opening time to see if I can get in without an appointment or before they got busy. Met Carlos, who seems very genuine and honest. Hard to find sometimes in the mechanic industry. He was very professional and you can watch everything he does because of how the waiting room is positioned. It was $95 for full synthetic which is comparable to other oil change businesses. Glad to have found this gem. Thanks Carlos!”

They are a very busy shop, but gives you a personalized touch. Waiting room is kind of quite and relaxing. With an array of indoor plants they tend to. We usually drop our vehicles early in the day, so they can work on them whenever convenient for them. I don't think anyone will be disappointed in their services.”

“I had a lot done on my car. I decided to keep it another 100,000 miles instead of buying a new car. I had brakes done, an antenna reset, oil change, tune up and a few more things. I saved the big job for another two weeks. I needed an oil ring replaced. The job took longer than expected and I was only changed for the estimated price. I have another Brakes Plus two minutes away but they are not trust worthy. The technicians at 6635 have always been truthful. It is fifteen mintues away but I will always take my car tp be worked on there. I highly reccomend this Brakes Plus.”

“Mike best mechanic. I haven’t written a review in awhile You can trust him. He won’t work on your car unless he looks at it or drives your vehicle. . I own a 2001 nissan Altima. He made my car run great.Drove it out of town. My daughter own 1998 Nissan Altima. Mike was honest. Said this car not fixable. By the time you fix this all the money you put into it. You can get a brand new car better.
Trust me Mike a good mechanic. I wouldn’t trust anyone but him. I would refer him anyone has car problems.

“I called this location prior to making an appointment and explained to the gentleman that answered the phone what I was needing. I also told him about the prices other shops had quoted me. He said that seemed a little high and that I might not need all that work. He invited me in for a free break inspection, so I made an appt. I arrived for my appt and it took roughly an hour as they were quite busy. When the guy called me up to the counter to show me my estimate, I was expecting an outrageous price(due to past dealings with auto shops). Imagine my surprise when it was way lower than anticipated. They did not try to upsell me or tack on any extra work. These guys are straightforward and very honest. 10/10 would recommend and do business with again”

“Came here in a hurry because 2 of my tires were very worn down. i was in a bit of a sticky situation financially and told the manager i needed 2 tires. i had previously went to other tire shops and they wouldn't/ couldn't help me. when i called west coast tires they told me they could help me and work with my budget.and also look at some other things on my car. at first i was cautious due to the likelihood of women getting screwed over at places like this, but i still listened. he educated me about how cars work and why my tires were getting the way they were, and after this amazing team fixed my tires, they also threw in a tire patch for free due to my previous tire patch on my rear wheel, coming apart. i was so greatful for this. he told me that there was a lot of work needed done on my car (which is something i already knew due to the fact that my boyfriend is a mechanic.) but he let me know, that even though it's a lot of work, they would work with me financially given my budget, and situation :) i'm so happy that i was able to go to them and have them help me with my car! i definitely recommend them to anyone who needs any car repairs! they also offer financing, no credit needed! definitely check them out:)”

“My car needed a battery and I gave Joe's a call. Without hesitation they were able to fit me in that same day, without an appointment, to take care of the new battery installation. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, making sure I got the right battery for my particular car (a hybrid). It takes a bit longer to change out this battery, as it is located inside of the trunk of the car! No issue for the team at Joe's. Job well done and I got my car back the same day. I highly recommend them for any service your vehicle may need.”

I went to three shops to get a simple oil change and everybody turned me away because I needed a new panel or a plug and the members of this Jiffy Lube location off the 101 and Olive were able to take off the panel and the plug and complete a service of an oil change. “I like to support family owned businesses. They are the foundation of our country. For that reason, and because Thunderbird has an excellent online profile and reviews, I chose Thunderbird Auto. I try to be a loyal customer. Mr. Francisco told me after my first visit that I was "family". I believed him. Every time I've been in, I've felt that I received quality work at a fair price and honest evaluations. I've lived in Surprise for 3 years, and when I've needed mechanic work I've brought my cars to Mr Francisco. I've also referred friends here, and they have brought their vehicles here.
Mr. Francisco's son typically writes up the orders. He is not overly friendly, but ok, I can live with that. Last summer I had my car in and the repair was going to take 3 hours. There is no place to wait except outside, even when the temp is 110⁰. I asked about a ride, maybe to the Walmart 5 minutes away. His son said he could do that but would not pick me back up, I would need to get an Uber. Ok again, I guess I can live with that. Not exactly customer friendly, just matter of fact, take it or leave it attitude.
I have 2 vehicles, a 2016 Pilot and a CRV. Maybe 18 months ago, Mr Francisco suggested that I have the radiator hoses replaced ($300 cost) on my Pilot as it almost had 100,000 miles, and Honda recommended it at 100,000 miles. I put it off last summer but decided to do it this summer. I took it in today. I mentioned I had been told it was $300. His son told me that the $300 quote was for the CRV and not the Pilot. I told him that I was pretty sure the price was for the Pilot. He told me again I was wrong, it was for the CRV. Ok, that's fine, and I asked him to give me a quote for the Pilot. He told me that he had another customer to call and I could wait in my vehicle. I waited 15 minutes in my car running my a/c (it actually is 110⁰ today). He finally came out and told me it would be $480 plus tax. I was shocked that it had gone from $300 to $500, and I told him I would need to check some other places. He told me again the $300 quote was for the CRV and that I was never given one for the Pilot. He told me prices had increased and that his labor prices were less than any other shop and $480 was the price. He told me 2.5 hours of labor and $50 for the hoses. Essentially, take it or leave it and his attitude said he really didn't care which. I may have received a quote for my CRV as well, but I am 100% certain that I also was given a quote for the Pilot previously and specifically remember the mention that it was recommended at 100,000 miles. Yes, it's been more than a year, and I definitely expected that the $300 price would have increased since then, I just didn't expect such a huge increase.
I left Thunderbird Auto. There was no reason for the son to repeatedly tell me I was wrong and had not been given a quote for the Pilot. Just tell me what the price is. After leaving I pulled into a parking lot down the street and called the Peoria Honda Dealership and asked for a quote to get my radiator hoses replaced. I expected it would be higher than an independent shop. The quote was $399 plus tax. That's $100 less than Thunderbird Auto. My Pilot is at the Honda Dealership now getting new radiator hoses. I feel so disappointed. My trust in Thunderbird has been destroyed.
I know Thunderbird Auto has great reviews, and I 100% agree with them. Quality work and reasonable prices and honest mechanics. I know that Thunderbird has been in business for years, and they have more business than they can handle. I also know that losing my little bit of business is not going to have any effect on the well being of Thunderbird. I have written this review so that Mr. Francisco will know why he has lost my business and likely others too that are treated this way by his son. I WAS NOT TREATED LIKE FAMILY .
