I love how you can walk in and tell them you have bad knees or plantar fasciitis and they will come back with recommendations that best serve your needs. My feet and knees thank them for the amazing shoes and in soles they have. They also carry my favorite sunglasses here. Definitely stop by this store to get the best care you deserve.”
“Easy, fast and courteous. Daughter said "Dad, I'm not dancing at Home Coming in heels so I need shoes" ... 'Ding' ... she sent me a Text. I replied "Okay, my sweet daughter, I shall seek and find Ye said VANS sneaks for dancing your heart content!" It was easy, pulled up the pic the sales guy said what size and he went and fetched Thoth! Ah, alas, the quest be almost complete. Now I must ride on towards in my steel chariot to kerplunk said VANS at her bedroom doorway and upon her gaze watch her eyes widen with glee! LOL!”

Most employees we've encountered have been helpful. During our most recent visit, my spouse was able to find the Murse he wanted. Great place to get trendy children/baby shoes as well.”

“The customer service here is excellent. The associate Jason was personable and knowledgeable in his shoe recommendations; unfortunately, after bringing the shoe home and trying it out (Dansko slip resistant kitchen shoe) it did not perform to standard. The shoe was not in resell-able condition, and manager Troy went to bat for me with Dansko to be able to issue a refund for a defective product. The associates here are really exceptional and I’m extremely grateful for the assistance I received.”
“This small business is located downtown on 4th Ave, in the "333," building. The owner is kind, knowledgeable, and dependable. Although he's got a decent amount of inventory on-site, he is also open to requests. My spouse wanted a specific Yeezy color-way in a highly sought after size. The owner had them available for my spouse to purchase in a reasonable amount of time. Northwest's kicks are certified authentic and cheaper than StockX. Having dealt with Cache Alaska (Northwests' only competitor) on two different occasions, Northwest definitely provides a personal shopping experience in comparison. This business is needed and we will continue to support it. Highly recommend.”

Might I also stress, the perfume collection is INCREDIBLE.”
“I stopped at this store unexpectedly after our dinner. It’s almost winter time and I was in need for at least one big coat for daily use since I came to Alaska with only summer stuff.Both ladies who were working before closing time today went above and beyond with me! I was looking for a specific style that they didn’t have available in store and was trying things on. The girl was very helpful and knowledgeable even about how I shouldn’t get the white one if I live in the side of town where the snow could be a bit dirtier. I ended up getting my first winter coat with them and the lady at the counter wished me happy birthday and even said, welcome to Alaska. What a wonderful experience with this store even when they were about to close! I’ll be back for more:D”

“Honestly, my favorite shoes. This place is a bit of a hidden gem. Every time I go there it is quiet, hardly anyone there, their selection is abundant and the prices are very reasonable. I'm in the process of switching over all of my families shoes, boots, slippers...ect. whenever any of our current footwear becomes worn enough to throw away or possibly donate, we load up and drive to Sketchers. We've never not found the perfect replacement there.”

“I was about to walk out empty handed after looking around for good shoes for my plantar fasciitis. Jason stopped us and asked if there was anything in particular we were looking for. He found me a bunch of shoes to try on to help relieve my heel pain. We settled on a pair, and a week later, I’m still happy he stopped us.”
“Finally! Anchorage has its own Vans store! All the coolest kicks, great clothes and skate accessories, and super friendly staff. There’s always (at least one) a shoe that I want and that looks cool.”

“I have not been in a Zumies in a long time. It was a fun experience. I found some fun stickers (though I was sad the main one I wanted was folded in the middle). Actually they had quite a few stickers that were like that. Definitely for a trip in. You will find something you will like.”

“I took my 13 year old into the Dimond Center Footlocker around 8:15 on a Wednesday evening. I very friendly and knowledgeable young man named Castell helped us even though it was close to closing time and I'm sure he was ready to go home. The store was out of what my daughter had in mind however he showed her several like pairs of shoes and she found something she was really happy with. I was super impressed with his level of effort. I realized after left he had helped us before. A older lady with short gray hair snapped at him in a unprofessional manner. I wish I had said something to her then. I really hope this lady isn't getting away with degrading employees. The young adults/kids that work there deserve respect and I hope they know they have rights as employees to be treated professionally.”
