The rooms and stay were fine, but it took over an hour to check in. So many people in line, and they only had four people checking in guests.

Apart from the location, this place is not so great. Average restaurants. Good bar. Rooms small and.with less light.

Great experience but super expensive to stay; almost $1800 for 4 nights. Only gave 4 stars because there are 5-6 lodges and only one laundry facility in the main lodge. Every lodge should have their own laundry facility for that price point.

Yet another hotel that thinks they don't need maid service. We requested it today and they never came. I'm standing in line right now trying desperately to get toilet paper.
Maid service needs to be automatic at least every other day. The madness must stop.

The Lodge is positive only for the location within the park.
The worst thing is the room cleaning service, on the first day they didn't make one of the two beds, leaving a note that there was too much personal business: there was only one pajama, I attach a photo. They didn't change towels and they didn't even change or move the wet bathroom carpet. Incredible I attach photos.
On the second day they did not empty the rubbish bin in the bathroom or the bedroom and did not put the coffee pods back. The sugar ran out on the first day never put back. I had to get it at the lobby bar.
I think for the price you pay this is unacceptable.
The bathroom is decidedly old and should be renovated.
On the last day at 8 they came knocking insistently to ask us if the room was free. Totally inconvenient because since it was the day of check out we could still stay until 11.
The restaurant of these lodges is a somewhat sad self-service restaurant. We only ate there one evening and I have to say the trout was good.
I sincerely hope that they at least review the Cleaning service because it would be the easiest and most immediate thing to improve.

we stayed here three nights, in a Deluxe Lodge 2 Queen beds (in the Cascade lodge).
Location is central and highly recommended to visit the park, Cascade lodge was quite during our stay. However there is nothing “Deluxe” in the quality of the room and service, apart from the spaciousness of the room (but the bathroom is small). They barely made our beds for the day nor cleaned the room appropriately. Bar at the lodge offers very little, for food you need to go to the Canyon Village (there is no microwave in the room). at the Village you have a canteen style restaurant with decent but basic quality of the food. The restaurant is very busy after 19:30. Ultimately you pay a lot just for the location inside the park

We decided to spend a couple of nights in the park in order to be closer to all we wanted to see and do. This convenience comes with a steep price, but when you consider the time and cost of driving in from the neighboring towns, it is a good trade-off. Canyon Lodge is in a perfect location to be able to enjoy all the stops around The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. However, if is pretty far from the Old Faithful area, and will require a very early start in order to beat the crowds in the Old Faithful and Norris Geyser Basins. Right now there is also road constructiin happening right at the junction that takes you into the lodge area, but it seems to be much less congested early in the morning and after four in the afternoon. There are restaurants in the complex, so no need to go searching for food. One evening we were walking back from dinner and there were four elk cows and a large bison right in front of the hotel! Our room was comfortable, clean and very pretty. Be aware, though, that there is no television, so make sure to have books or games if you spend any time in the room. However, with so much to do, you'll likely only be in the room long enough to shower and fall into bed.

We stayed in one of the cabins. Not fancy looking from the outside, but spacious inside with a nice setup, including a table & chairs, a coffeemaker, and free wifi. The only problem we had was the power went off one night, but came back on shortly after. I wish they had a water refilling station near the cabins. They have one in the main reception area, but it's far enough away that we drove there to refill all of our water bottles. The staff was very pleasant. Location is convenient if you want to drive anywhere to view wildlife.

Rooms floors and shower not really clean. Towels nice. Linens had that oily body odor. Good WiFi. Checkin staff very courteous and helpful. The food and general store closed at 6. Dining nearby adequate. You are in the park, so convenient. Rooms had no TV, no microwave, no frig. No sundries or snacks for sale on site. Huge disappointment. VERY expensive. And to get a little frig in your room, you have to upgrade to a larger more costly room.
Safety: Very safe.
Walkability: You can walk to dining and mercantile.

Great location. Long waiting line for checking in. Staff are friendly. Room is clean. Beds are comfy. No fridge, no microwave, no TV. Environmental friendly bins are useless. No onsite restaurants. Short driving distance to Canyon village for dining and shopping.

we stayed here for one night and were very happy with it. canyon lodge is the largest and most modern of the in-park lodging options, and while you pay a pretty penny for it, it is a really nice place. parking is ample and easy to find, you can walk to the canyon village area or drive, which is nice, and you are right along the north rim of grand canyon of the yellowstone. while i recommend staying in multiple places while visiting yellowstone to cut down on travel time, if you insist on staying in only one place during your stay, this is a centralized location so probably your best bet. we had one lodge room which was spacious and well appointed, as well as a cabin which was so cute and nice too. between the two, we liked the vibe of the cabin more, though both were excellent.
we also want to shoutout Abe at the front desk, as he got us into a different room when ours was not ready at check in time. he could have told us just to wait but instead decided to find us something else and we really appreciated that!
Rooms: the lodge room was spacious, clean, and well appointed.
same for the cabin, though we liked the aesthetic of the cabin a bit more :)
Nearby activities: hiking trails, canyon visitor center, grand canyon of the yellowstone
Walkability: walking trails to canyon village and grand canyon of the yellowstone are within the property.
Food and drinks: walking distance to canyon village which has several eateries. there is also a small coffee shop onsite in the main lodge
Noteworthy details: this is the largest hotel in yellowstone, the newest, and the most centrally located. if you want to stay in only one place, this is a good choice.

This is a great location if you don't want to be moving every few days within the park. It was wonderful to unpack and use this location as our base to explore the park. The room was clean and spacious and we had a patio that overlooked the woods. There were bison and elk on the grounds. There was a bison that rested up against our building every day, his name is Carl. Our only negative is the food in the park. If you stay here the best bet is the small cafe shop in the main lodge.

Cheap uncomfortable beds, horrible temperature control, lackod parking, extremely overpriced, would just stay out of the park, wake up a bit earlier and drive in if ever to come through again.
