This is probably the worst post office I have ever encountered in my whole life. If for whatever reason your package gets delivered here instead of the Jackson post office (more common that you may think) prepare yourself to wait weeks until the go through what they call “the undeliverable package pile”.My package was forwarded to this post office and I have been here 3 times asking for my package and every week the response is the same. “Come back next week once we’ve gone through all the undeliverable packages” it’s been 12 days since I first called them to make sure that the package was indeed there. Awful service and awful customer service experience.

How do you post full open hours from 7:30-4:30 but then say only open 2-4. It really just compounds the problem as you have everyone trying to get packages in a 2 hour window vs 8 hour window..

Exemplary, extraordinary, good OLD FASHIONED customer service by PAULA.She is remarkable and has the best interest of the customer in mind.....she should run for mayor of Wilson.Long story short: Due to my addressing mistake, 2 large parcels were slated to be returned across the country.She listened intently to the problem, took all pertinent details, assured me she would do everything she could to help.At this point the boxes were loaded, re-routed and long gone......but, NOT if PAULA could help it.She stayed after postal closing hours and emphatically searched the outgoing trucks, going above and beyond to find the parcels so they could be held for local pick up. And, YES, without fanfare or making a big deal of it PAULA came through, found the missing parcels, called me reporting all was well. Saving me, and the recipients, from an enormous inconvenience and lost time. THANK YOU PAULA.

Expect challenges when trying to receive packages in the area served by this post office, but don't take it out on the staff. USPS doesn't deliver to many of the homes in the area, but UPS and FedEx do. That makes addressing packages rather tricky, especially when using Amazon.com (street address for UPS/FedEx, PO Box or General Delivery for USPS). There are signs posted explaining what to do and the team members will help you if you ask. The local delivery limitations and Amazon's quirks are outside of their control, so please be nice.

People been working there a long time. Saw someone who didn’t even know his own box number give Paula a hard time then say he was going to post a negative review. What a j**** You’re doing a good job everyone. Don’t let these part timers talk down to you.

Severely ignorant employee that works there. Didn’t catch her name but seemed to be very standoffish and refusal to look for my packages when I asked. I witnessed three other people in front of me receive the same amount of confrontational conversations that could have easily been avoided if she were not working. I highly recommend taking business elsewhere. I was in there for an hour getting yelled at for making her “job” too complicated.

I waited my turn and had several packages to send I had all but one ready to send. Instead of adding postage and processing my packages ready that we’re on the counter, she started helping other people and made me wait. The person she bypassed me for had unfinished packages as well. So it took an additional 10-15 minutes.

I sent a package to this Post Office and it came back to me as not deliverable. My shipping program changed the word Box XXXX to # XXXX and I guess the Town of Wilson with its whopping population of 1500, I guess it makes sense to simply send it back without looking at it twice. Thank you for your great service! Now I have to eat another shipping charge and my customer needs to wait another week for their product. I am sure you are pleasant folks, but come on. I sincerely apologize for my mistake, however post office box number was accurate and on the label. I support USPS tremendously but I feel common sense may be lacking at this branch. I don't typically leave negative reviews, however I believe this needed to be put out there.
