The facility itself is very nice. Living in a small community outside of Sheridan which has a much smaller gym (and no pool for the children) that membership includes a membership to this facility. However one of the elderly staff members (Diane) treated us like we are NOT paying member’s we wanted the convenience of a card so we don’t hold up the massive line that forms around the time the pool opens and Diane was very rude and adamant that “tongue river memberships are only ALLOWED to use our facility, not have access to a key card” when the prior week a much kinder employee, Told my then 7 year old that when she turns 8 the following week she could FINALLY have a “Big girl key card”. She was so looking forward to it. Then Diane made us feel like we were trying to take advantage of them or rob them of something, by simply requesting a card to zap? it’s very confusing and she was very rude. It’s always a displeasure to see her at the front desk. Upon further research, Diane has worked at the Y for a very long time and that explains why she can be rude without repercussions to customers and to the other staff(who are very pleasant) she has a very heavy superior complex. She was in a high up behind the scenes position for about 12 years. She should go back to that or RETIRE. Customer service is NOT for her. She makes the people who normally work the front desk scared to breathe wrong. Not a very welcoming environment.

First of all, I didn't have to pay anything because my hotel includes passes in their stay. I walked 1/3 mile there, which wasn't bad. Actually it's the most I've walked since being in physical therapy and going through all the things I did so I could walk with stability and no pain. The first door I encountered on my walk was for youth only. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th doors were other gym functions which had an arrow and said, " next door please". I thought to myself...,"When will this end?!?!" There was a line of 2 people in front of me. The other person at the counter was acting like a bouncer, standing in the middle of the kiosk and calling out to peoples' kids that didn't scan in. They were completely oblivious to the fact I was standing in line. Until, they took this family in that had 10 kids and I was waving my key cards in the air like I just don't care. Unfettered, they did provide me the info I requested, directions to the pool. Looks like most people use locks and I would have brought mine but forgot. They had 3 lap lanes and equipment laid out at each of the lanes. They had a circular lazy river. The pool was clean, kids were polite and had good pool etiquette. The place was kept very clean and tidy. A great place to swim and a large facility.

Our YMCA is amazing. My children and I go there to swim in the aquatic center! If you're not a Y member, that's okay it's 5 dollars! Have fun!

I like my core-strength class, but the new location for it is too small and dark.

I got kicked out of the weight room for Waring hey dude shoes, They said it’s because of there policy but I literally cannot afford new shoes, I understand if that’s going against there rules, but I’m literally paying them an arm and a leg just to workout there, also most of the staff are very rude and invasive, weight room is very nice but I would rather visit the body shop than waist my time paying for a membership just to not be allowed to use it. Also vans and hey dudes are probably safer to workout in than any Nike airmax shoes as they do have more support, I will be revoking my membership today, I’m not paying them to kick people out of a gym

Love this place. When I’m back I’ll be back here. In the middle of a partial remodel but place was still clean.

The aquatic facility and weight rooms are always clean. There are lots of programs and activities for kids! A membership is a must-have, especially for winter.

I had someone take my bag and put it in their locker. 15 Minutes before we left the pool, my sister and I had gone into the locker room and saw that all of our stuff was in the locker. Like I mentioned — 15 min later when we went to leave — my bag was gone. It had car keys and other expensive/important things inside. I had looked in all of the other lockers and just assumed it was gone. Because the staff kept looking they were able to find it in someone else’s locker. I’m not sure why I didn’t find it when I was looking, but if the staff hadn’t kept working at it we would’ve left without everything in that bag. This meant a lot. Thank you. Unfortunately I don’t know the staff members names, but this occurred 7-7:30 pm on July 19th 2022 during open swim. The two workers at the front desk were the ones who helped. They did everything they could even when we thought the bag was gone.

Unlike some YMCAs in the state, this one has a fantastic pool with something for the whole family. The staff here is also great and friendly, and you can tell that they care about their facility. This is a wonderful place to spend time to escape the heat or to escape the snow anytime of year.
