30 N Gould St, SheridanExcellent 2-week board and train with trainer Ryan K near Chicago via Wag Mates. First time leaving our 6-mo German Shepherd mix, wanted to avoid the typical boarding/day care facilities which can be great but overwhelming and unstructured with 10-30 other dogs. This setup was perfect for us. Ryan provided details and answered questions over the phone and via text ahead of time. He transported our dog to/from the house -- not a short drive! -- and took time to review our training goals and dog's medication requirements. He projected calm confidence, communicated clearly, and was passionate about animal welfare and training dogs and their humans. He sent useful videos everyday, not just cute pics but actual training tips we can refer back to. Upon drop-off, he spent about 100mins with our family showing us what to focus on, answering our many questions, providing practical and objective product recommendations (love my clicker!), even walking around the neighborhood since leash training was one of our main goals; he is dedicated to creating a smooth and successful transition back home. Even offered free follow-up lessons whenever we wanted, incredible! Our dog didn't have any major behavioral issues but her fundamentals improved and she's more comfortable in the crate; leash manners / excitement meeting other dogs requires more work but we now have better tools and knowledge and have made progress in the weeks since she returned. We will book with Ryan again.
Wag Mates is not a local company but more like a service that connects you with contractors, which I was hesitant to use but turned out to be well organized and useful. Anna, Pedro and Ryan S. did a great job coordinating; policies and communication were customer friendly. I've already recommended to a family member.

I've never used a service like this however McGraw Paws has an easy process from signing up to setting a date for bringing in and picking up. Services offered were comforting as I had no idea how the pups were going to respond.Thank you to everyone there.

Completely wrong drink/ paying for additions that don't get added, ect. I'm too socially anxious to tell the staff that my order is wrong, so that's on me, but I do wish things were more consistent.
It's probably best to just avoid ordering online here, which is a shame because I prefer the convince of doing so.

3 S Gould St, SheridanGreat local downtown Sheridan Wyoming bar and restaurant. The food is always good and pretty reasonably priced. The bartenders and wait staff are friendly helpful and attentive. They have some cool signs, oddities from the local area, sports stuff plus some neat beer signs on the walls. TV screens to watch games. They have a really big enclosed patio/deck type extension on the front with lots of tables. Bar seating inside the building, more tables in the back end. We have always have a great time at the Pony! Love the local beer selection, properly working taps, burgers, onion rings and the STAFF!!

847 N Main St, SheridanTraveling through Wyoming, we ended up stopping in Sheridan due to ice covered roads. After a google search, we picked this restaurant for dinner. What a fabulous experience! The food, the service was phenomenal! We had the salmon bites appetizer. Bison chili and gumbo. One of us had steak. One had shrimp fettuccine. One had chicken fried chicken. One had chicken fried steak. Kids had their kids ribs. Desert was cheesecake. We all ate every bite of our meal. Do not miss this restaurant if you have an opportunity.

The table in the middle of the dog run is super dangerous while I was there I saw a few dogs smack into it while they were playing. Love that they have water bowls. The local is great next to a playground so the whole family can get out and play.

Dog and Cat Shelter of Sheridan Wyoming
84 E Ridge Rd, SheridanWe have lots of free-roaming cats in our neighborhood and they get into the gardens, under decks and use it as a litter box, and slip under the skirting of houses nearby for shelter. I trap the cats and bring them to the shelter for identification and to keep them out of the winter cold. The staff are always great in how they handle the animals. They either get the cat back to the owner or find it a home if there is no owner. I’ve never had a negative encounter - even after hours - and I’m glad they’re here to keep the cats safe. The cats I can see when I’m there, and the cats that use the outdoor portion of the pen, seem calm and comfortable. I’m glad they’re treated well.
