Your typical Hampton Inn. Was told at check-in pool was open but not the spa. The elevator made noises and jumped at the floor. Old sticker adhesive on the elevator door. It needs some updating and fixing.
Rooms: Room was clean and nice.

Great service. Friendly staff. Room was clean and everything worked. Breakfast was good and coffee fresh. This was a very comfortable place and the bed was very comfortable.

I didn't get to stay here thanks to the terrible customer service I received. We saw this hotel available on Kayaks website, and I called first to make sure someone would be at the front desk since we were arriving at almost midnight. The woman who answered told me she had no rooms available. When I told her I saw there was one still available online, she proceeded to tell me I was looking at the wrong date... I wasn't. So after insulting me by assuming I can't read rather than assuming the website had it wrong, I hung up and booked a room at the Marriott.
I can't speak to the room conditions here, but Customer service is extremely important in this industry, and I'd expect better from Hampton Inn. Never had this problem before so maybe it's just a Rawlins thing.
Aside from that, location seemed convenient to the highway.

We have stayed at Hampton Inns across the country. This one is dated, rooms dark and depressing, television must have been made in the 90's and you have your choice of five or six channels. Plumbing backs up in bathroom. Scary to think about what is on the sticky carpet- it is too dark to see. And for a king bed room we paid more than any king suite we have stayed at in the nicest, cleanest Hampton Inns across the country.
One positive - the woman who checked us in was friendly and courteous.
Drive a little farther. Stay someplace else. They are price gouging because you think you don't have a choice so far from major cities.
Rooms: Filthy. Dark and dreary. Plumbing problems. Carpet sticky and very dark. If you are interested in TV, you are in for a disappointment. At night there are not enough light fixtures to see your way around the room.
Nearby activities: There are none.
Walkability: You can walk around the hotel. Nothing close enough to walk to.
Noteworthy details: This is the worst Hampton Inn for the price we have ever stayed in.

The lady that checked us in should be retrained. Absolute disgrace. We checked in 4pm ish yesterday 8/29th. One of the worse check in I’ve ever experienced as a diamond member.

If you ever find yourself hard-up enough to need to stay in Rawlins, WY, this isn't a bad option. The hotel is nice even if a bit dated and not the cleanest I've ever been in, but not bad. Staff was friendly and welcoming, but a bit appethetic. Overall, not a bad option for the area.

It was fine. We were hoping for better quality at those prices ($196 including tax in a king suite for one night). Overall, it felt like things are getting old and not being replaced. One of two elevators was out of order and the other was . . . . sketch. The hot tub was broken when we arrived but the kids enjoyed the pool. We didn't care for the complimentary soap and didn't have enough towels. We all enjoyed the breakfast!

Jul 2024 - This was a traveling through stop to get to the Grand Tetons, which is still 4hrs away, BTW. Rawlings is a nice size town with plenty of resources like gas, groceries, and dry goods. This was a typical Hampton with clean rooms, easy check in and out with their usual free breakfast. Comfortable accommodation for a one night layover in Rawlings, WY.
Rooms: Clean and comfortable once we figured out the a/c issue. I believe room 227 needs a new thermostat. Lol
Noteworthy details: The breakfast chef did a great job with her prep and filling of the area. It's was clean and fresh this day. Thanks to her fine effort! ??

We were disappointed with our stay. We chose this location because of Hampton Inn’s quality is usually consistent. However, the carpets had stains, and there was an unpleasant smell upon entering. The smell on our floor was even more unpleasant. The price was overrated; I found the same room online the next day for $70 less. One positive was that the bed was comfortable. However, only one elevator was working, and it seemed like it needed attention as well. Additionally, the windows throughout the hotel appeared dirty. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Rooms: The room was okay the duvet seemed to be needing attention. It is definitely showing age in the room.
