I would not recommend staying here at all. They had left the front desk abandoned one night and my key card didn't work and was locked out of my room. I was here for about 4 weeks. Didn't ask or allow room service one time due to me working 12 hour shifts 7 days a week so needed sleep. They charged me a cleaning fee and claimed the towels were unusable and they claimed the sheets were stained with blood and oil. This was not true as sheets were already mildly stained and i worked in the refinery so they assumed it was oil. 300 dollar fraud on my credit card all because the manager is upset I called them out for not having personnel in the front leaving me locked out for a night. Would give negative star. Manager is completely incompetent

Customer service on the phone and in the hotel was just great. The breakfast was modest but ample for our needs with fruit and oatmeal and waffles and yogurt. The rooms were clean and comfortable. For the price, this hotel was perfect for our overnight stay.

Lied to and overcharged by more than double for THEIR mistake. Room stank like smoke and realitive unclean scent. 2 out of 3 front desk clerks were very nice.
Breakfast was a joke. Nastiest waffle maker I've ever seen

This place was super convenient to stay at because it costs like $60/night to stay at, however the rooms are definitely not anything to write home about. AC wasn't on when I got there so it was super hot, also no screens on windows, curtains have massive holes from moths eating them, but they did provide a breakfast in the morning and I didn't have to sleep outside so I don't really have reason to complain.

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough! Kacy, a staff member, made our stay truly memorable.
On the morning of our checkout, we encountered unexpected car troubles. Kacy was incredibly understanding when we explained the situation. She graciously allowed us to have a late checkout, which took a huge weight off our shoulders. To top it off, she even offered us some refreshing orange juice while we worked on our car!
Her kindness and support turned what could have been a stressful situation into a pleasant experience. Thanks to Kacy's exceptional hospitality, 1st Choice Motel will definitely be our first choice on any future visits to Rawlins. If you’re looking for a welcoming place to stay with outstanding service, look no further!
Walkability: Walmart, O'Reily Auto Parts, and Starbucks are all walking distance away

Comfortable room and friendly service. Seems to have a lot of short-term workers staying here. (Probably oil workers.) My only complaint was that the WiFi barely worked in my room.

We stayed at this place during our trip from Elkhart Park in WY to Denver, CO. This hotel is clean and personnel is very nice. It is located right of the interstate, next to gas station and restaurants.
There is a railroad right next to it, but I never heard the sound of train, it was quite.
In the morning they provide breakfast that was a nice bonus. They had coffee, orange juice and milk, bagels (various options), peanut butter, regular butter and cream cheese, waffles, instant oatmeal, nature valley energy bars and few other snacks. No eggs or fruits
Overall, this was the best budget friendly road hotel where I have stayed.
Building and everything inside is old, but everything is well taken care of, clean, organized. I have seen customers with pets, but our room did not smell like dogs, cats or cigarettes. I definitely recommend this place if you need to stay for a night rest in Rawlings, WY and do not want to pay for more luxury experiences

Wonderful people. Great customer service. Clean rooms. Good Selections for breakfast. Great price. Close by to walk for groceries or a place to eat or close enough to drive to other restaurants sight seeing. Easy on and off from highway 80 or 287. Descent security as well. Outside Doors are locked.

Pet friendly means dogs only. We paid for the room, realized we couldn't bring our cat, and when we asked for a cancellation we were denied a refund. They then proceeded to not let us back into our room even without the cat.
Also the curtains had holes, the sheets had cigarette burns, and the room was filthy.

So, when we first pulled up we thought "what have we done??" Haha. BUT it turns out the rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly. Pretty unorganized with check in and second day breakfast wasn't set up, but just ask and you can still food. It wasn't perfect but it was fine, and it was the second cheapest option in town.
Rooms: Clean and reasonable size
Walkability: Not far from many restaurants and coffee shop right outside.

Pet friendly means dogs only. Still waiting on my refund for room I paid for and then denied staying in as I had my two cats in travel kennel after being on the road for 4 days.
On another note, the place smells, very outdated and furniture from the 70's or possibly a rummage sale. Keep an eye out for the potholes in the parking lot too.

Stayed here 1 night on our way through, arriving late and leaving early. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful and our room was clean and comfortable. I think that this hotel fully meets the expectations that we had for it -- we booked for a cheap price right off the freeway and got that. It isn't the Marriott or Hilton but we didn't expect that.
Overall, we were pleased with our experience here. The room was comfortable and the beds, at least in our room, were the best ones that we had slept in the entire trip! And on a road trip where 95% of the use of the room is for sleeping, that meant a lot.
The included breakfast was priced right (free!). It wasn't anything fancy (bagels, yogurt, cereal) but at the very affordable price for the room in the first place, having anything was actually a bonus.
This isn't a place that I'd make the hub of a multi-day exploration vacation of the area but for a quick stopover while traveling, it checked all of the boxes for us and we were very pleased with our stay.

Questionable Hotel. Is under renovation but it's in pretty sad shape. There are better hotels within walking distance. Just okay for a one-night stay and that's it!
