The lady that greeted us was really nice and the museum is very unique. It is free and just has a donation box, which we did because the place had the 2 big Grizzlies and so much more on the town mercantile and western way of life. Definitely recommend stopping in before you go to eat, they don't allow food inside. We had just had a great meal at the Elkhorn bar and grill.

Me and my 2 yo son had a great time here! Lots of visually stunning displays and really interesting history. The man working when we were there was so kind and attentive, and gave us lots of info. Loved his enthusiasm and stories! Definitely recommend this sweet little local museum.

We expected this to be less interesting to the eight year old. I will tell you now, however, it has something for literally everyone. Even a hat collection, and a set of taxidermied wild sheep of every kind found in North America. And arrowheads.

A gem in Wyoming. Don't drive through Meeteetse again without stopping by for 5 minutes or 2 hours. Totally worth the visit.
