Found this place by accident during a long road trip, no one was present but still was able to get us settled in. Everyone was so kind and I hope to run into this place again.

Rooms will surprise you. Remodeled updated and very friendly group of people. The rooms are affordable fair, and the people there go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We had some BBQ and sat around a fire pit making smores with a few beverages while a guitar and harmonica came out played and sang. I'd say that's the place to go to unwind from a long day of traveling.
Nearby activities: The Fort of Mountain Man, military Jim Bridger. Is across the street. Its quiet, slow paced, layed back atmosphere with a lot of history. Mormon/Oregon trail passed through there. Nomatter where you go. No one is in a hurry, and more than happy to stop and chat. Lots of people say they have found a new stopping point.
Safety: Everyone looks out for everyone. Safest place where I felt it.
Walkability: Some walking, but other towns just 5 miles apart, and a great view of the Rockies.
Food and drinks: Places to have a few cocktails and relax.
Noteworthy details: It's a step back in time. The atmosphere makes it seem that way anyway. Labor Day weekend is a full-blown mountain man, Rendezvous. Fur trading, jewelery, Indians authentic to the 1800s time period, inside the Old Bridger Fort. Population goes from 500 to 50,000 overnight. 5 days, you'd never know they were there.

First, thank you to Carl and Morna for great hospitality. The owner, Chad is awesome. There is a fire pit area and we were hanging out and he came and visited with us. It was like hanging out with neighbors.
The rooms are by no means 5 stars but they are clean and functional. The property is very old and it may put some off.
All in all it was a good place to stay and I would stay again.

Great family run place... old in the middle of nowhere and the people make up for anything it lacks. Freezing storm roads closed... it was warm safe and friendly.
