They will give you a rental with previous damage, give you a yellow slip and say "don't worry this damage is already on record." and then weeks later file a claim that you are liable for the damage. You will get the call around and get no help with anything. They say they will "look into it". Even calling corporate is useless and can't help you out.1st off, AVIS should not be renting out cars to customers with damage. 2nd- their staff should be inspecting the car thoroughly before and after, and 3rd-AVIS is so unorganized as they "can't find" a record of the damage all of a sudden. This has to be the worst experience I've ever had with a rental and definitely my last with this company. Save yourself the hassle and don't go here.UPDATE: We did get it taken care of by one of the employees at the pickup location who followed up and took care of the situation for us with corporate. We were provided a case number and did get it straightened out with his help.

Avis car rental at Cheyenne Airport is fantastic. It's a small airport, so you won't have to travel far from baggage claim. Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Competitive pricing.

The Avis rental office at the Cheyenne Airport was extremely easy. We booked through the app, the staff had everything ready to go when we arrived and was extremely helpful. We were in and out in no time with our car. Drop off was just as fast and simple.

They are still at the airport but unfortunately their computers crash and they are unable to rent you a car.

Pick up and drop off were extremely simple. The car was clean, the tank was full, and really that's all I ask for when renting a car. Definitely will use them again.

Front tires were nearly bald and the car had trash left over from the last people. Lacking in customer service and incredibly expensive. EDITED TO ADD: I HAVE contacted corporate. On hold forever and the recording practically BEGS you to "go online" and file complaint. Basically got nowhere, I JUST WANT PEOPLE WARNED ABOUT THIS SHODDY COMPANY!

I had the worst possible experience a person could have with avis car rental. The car wasn't clean when I picked it up. Then when I took it back it needed the rear seat vacuumed due to my lab riding with me. I told the guy and he said no problem. Later I find out that I was charged over 300$ for them cleaning the car. I called customer service and they were no help at all. I have always used Enterprise in the past and I will use them in the future. I would never use avis again if they were free! avis car rental SUCKS !!!!!!!!!

I paid for a rental in full, but when I went to pick it up, they wouldn't accept my card for incidental hold. I was not able to obtain the rental so I cancelled the reservation and requested a full refund. It has been almost a month and still no refund. I have been on the phone with them 3 times now and they keep telling me "we will resubmit it, it will take 3 to 5 business day. This is horse****

I have had multiple good experiences with Avis I will rent from them again as this appears to be a one off situation. That being said in THIS particular case Avis gave us a car that was a danger to not only us but all on the road with us. The rear brakes either locked or the pads fell apart completely and when informed of the issue Road Side assistance passed the buck and told us to "Call the desk we rented from as it was their issue" When I called the desk the guy at the counter (wish I could remember his name he was great) said "Your KIDDING ME!!!" He couldn't believe Avis brushed this off!!!As a result the vehicle has sever damage to the rotors of BOTH rear wheels (when we called the issue was minor) and we're fortunate to of made it home at all. Avis allowed us to pick up a vehicle that had no business being on the road!!!!

Paid in full online for a rental using my chime bank card. When I went to pick up the rental, I was told they needed a card for incidentals and they would not take my chime bank card because chime never pays them. So why the heck was I able to pay for the rental using the card but not for the incidental hold?? Had to cancel my rental. At least they're giving me a full refund.

Ever wanted to slap a company across the face? Well this is my first... customer service rep was cold and abbrassive and we were charged an additional rental day even though we were told we could return the after hours key return. $75 extra for a company lacking transparency.... good way to make money off a client's back. Criminal!
