To be honest when we got here there was something in the coffee pot which was not coffee there was no remote for the TV the safe wouldn't close. The room was nice and clean though actually I prefer this place over my Olympus we could have stayed here the entire time and save a little money but all in all really not bad when I took what was in the coffee pot up to the front desk and to ask for a remote the ladies at the desk were very friendly very helpful we asked about a microwave which our room did not come with some do some don't ours didn't and I was fine with that but she said maintenance would bring us a remote so we walked to the pool area to check it out by the time we got back to our room we had a remote a new coffee pot and a microwave lol they felt bad about the coffee pot cause I told them I didn't need a new one so they brought me a microwave not bad at all for the price we paid which compared to everyone else around in town even the ones that are supposed to be cheap because of lesser standards I was very pleased I will definitely be staying here when I decide to come back

Pool heater was broke in lazy river water was so cold felt like you were jumping into a lake in the middle of winter was Informed Saturday morning the 23 of March the heater would be fixed.... we went back to the pool later in the day and was still to cold to be in went to the service desk and argued about the water temp they tried saying it was 77 degrees and was checked with a heat gun... which would check the air temperature we checked the thermometer that was in the pool and it was showing 36 degrees and they still tried to argue about it and were completely disrespectful about it and refused to refund any money beside the 10 dollar pool fee brought kids here to swim and couldn't even do that.... probably will not be coming back here again

We booked three rooms here for our son's 16th birthday this past weekend. We brought our three older sons, their wives, and the two grand daughters (ages 9 months and 5 months). We purposely booked this hotel because the waterpark had both large slides for the older kids as well as a kiddie pool for the little ones. Unfortunately, the large slides were not running. The three "lifequards" on duty did nothing but play on their phones and yell at older kids not to go on the smaller slides. We were very disappointed and will most likely not consider this place as an option in the future.

My family stayed the weekend at the Polynesian recently. The accommodations were spotless. The cleanliness was only second to their customer service. The staff made us feel like we were the priority in every instance. Undoubtably the best value in the Dells. If I could give service 10 stars I would. The definitely earned it! Thank you for a great weekend.Rooms: The rooms were spotless. Great house keeping.Noteworthy details: The entire staff were kind and friendly. Super generous with their time.

Staff was friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had all needs met. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids had a blast at the waterpark! May be an older property but for the price you pay you can't beat it!! Will stay again!

Me and my husband came here for a 2 night stay thinking that we would be able to use the pool and hot tub til like 10pm-11pm… on a Saturday we got here and they close the hot tub and pool at 9pm and have them COMPLETELY closed on Sundays. When families come here with kids especially on Sundays, kids would want to swim during the day. We came to this hotel for the hot tub and pool, especially to relax on a Sunday but both are completely CLOSED- on Sundays! So if anyone is wanting to stay here especially on a Sunday don’t do it… and it doesn’t state anything on the website with the pool being closed on Sundays and they don’t tell you.

We were in town for a volleyball tournament and had booked a room because rates were much lower than most other places. Something seemed a bit off when we pulled up and then after checking in we had several issues with the room - I won't share details, but the room was very big and would have worked great if not for the issues. At that point, my wife's mind was made up though and we decided to go somewhere else.I came back the next day to talk to the manager to get a refund and she was very understanding and accommodated us even though that is technically not their policy. As we suspected, the hotel is going through renovations after having been idle for several years and conditions & amenities should be improving. It sounds like it will be a completely different place a year from now.In the mean time my suggestion would be to get a better handle on rooms or groups of rooms that need work and make sure they aren't being used. Having breakfast and cable or satellite TV would be a big plus. We did notice that one of the other wings looked very different and had maybe already been updated.I just want to wrap up by thanking Nicole for how she handled things and we plan to come back again to see the changes.

Ignore all the terrible reviews, it really wasn't bad at all. It didn't really smell and it was a lot cleaner than everyone is making it seem, the place is literally cleaner than my house lol. The staff was super nice and helpful, we didn't have a single problem checking in or getting into the door like a lot of people have said, the whole thing actually went really smooth. Most of the bad reviews are just uptight Karen's who like to find something wrong with everything. We stayed in the suite with the pool view, was worried because of the reviews that there would be no dishes or anything but the cabinets were fully stocked. The only thing I will say is I've been coming here since I was a tiny baby and I'm 26 now, my parents actually had their honeymoon here back in 97 and this place used to be so amazing, everything was top notch, there was a nice fish tank in the lobby, a gift shop, tons of hot tubs and waterfalls, restaurants, and everything was decorated tropical/ Hawaiian. When I was a kid this was my favorite place in the whole world, you could literally ask me to choose anywhere in the world to go, Disney world, etc and I would've chose the Polynesian, it makes me so sad seeing how much everything has changed , although I am glad it seems like some things are finally getting taken care of. Everything was great but a few things. Number 1, the pool with the basketball hoops, hot tub and sauna next to the lobby is permanently closed and just filled with chairs , lamps , mattresses etc. I don't know why they would do that, I loved that pool because it was one of the only normal pools to swim in, there was also a hot tub and it was open later than the water park so it was a great place for adults, I don't know what their idea was but I definitely would've left that the way it was. Number 2, nothing matches and they are going for a modern fancy look rather than a tropical tiki type theme so I don't even know why it's called the Polynesian anymore , it would be 100000 times better if they went for the tropical look and stayed with the original theme which I always loved. Number 3, I'm pretty sure the arcade is gone and the elevator that went to it appears to just be stuck at the top lol. The last thing is the waterfalls. It sucks the basketball hoop pool is gone and all that but I am still really happy the slides and lazy river work because that has always probably been my favorite thing. The hot tub also was working which was a pleasant surprise, but they covered up the second hot tub and made it a little lifeguard area which sucks but I guess at least the one hot tub is still there. Lastly though, which is the biggest thing, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEE fix the waterfalls!!! It can't be that hard, the waterfalls on the lazy river and the little waterfall in the hot tub is non functional , if they were fixed it would make things 10x better and it would be so much cooler, I do miss the animatronic pirates and all the cool lights and it being dark inside the lazy river it used to be so cool, they did do a good job though decorating it in there it looks pretty cool now but the broken waterfalls kind of ruined it for me, that's probably what upset me the most the whole trip, I used to love going under the huge waterfalls as you come out of the lazy river. So overall we had a pretty good trip. Everything went smooth, staff was super nice and helpful and it was actually pretty clean. Definitely ignore all the bad reviews. But please I am begging you FIX THE WATERFALLS ITS NOT THAT HARD!! at least the ones over the lazy river! And try to go for a more tropical look! Other than that the place is actually pretty nice. Definitely going to stay here again I just hope the waterfalls are fixed by then and I will be happy.Rooms: Were actually pretty nice and cleanSafety: A lot more lifeguards than there were back in the day so it seems more safeNoteworthy details: Waterfalls need to be fixed

You would have to be insane to book a room here. I got a room through priceline and the hotel wanted a $100 deposit, to be kept for 5 days. Don't get a room there. I should have known when I only saw 1 car in the parking

This place is by far the most smelliest, unprofessional hotel I have ever stayed in. They lie about allowing you to check in, do not do anything to help the guest. You guys are really not a business for the guest! More about the money and how you screw the customer. Maybe fix your parking lot, clean your air it smells so bad of weed and whatever. Laundry room broken fix it! Spend some money instead of running it down! Pathetic

It was a nice stay. I only seen a few bad things in the room(didn't affect our stay). There was a spot on the wall that was fixed but not painted and a light bulb that was loose. But the bed was comfy and the room was clean.

Don't let the dated exterior or the low rates dissuade you... Our room was clean & comfortable, the waterpark was pretty nice for such an affordable rate, and the front desk clerk was friendly and welcoming. I initially booked one night as a holiday getaway with the kids (teenagers).. we were enjoying ourselves so much so that we actually booked a second night. If your looking for a family friendly dells hotel with a waterpark that won't cost a small fortune, give the Dells Polynesian a chance.. just check the waterpark hours before booking as they are limited.Rooms: The rooms were actually quite comfy, clean and look like they've actually had some updates. The bed was super comfortable with plenty of pillows. Definitely better than I was expecting for a less than $60/night room.Safety: As a single mom staying here with my children, I 100% felt safe. The hotel is very quiet and family friendly.Noteworthy details: The waterpark is surprisingly nice with 2 larger slides, a lazy river, a kids play area, and a splash pad. My teens spent several hours each night enjoying it!

Brown stains on the cheap white bedsheets. Something is always on “repair” or broken especially the water games. Safes are way outdated and I’m lucky that I contacted with the front desk a day before I left that their safes weren’t functioning properly (they had to call the manager). Hotel reeks itself of cigarettes and/or marijuana. And bugs are imminent within the rooms. There’s no “gym” as well. This resort really needs to take their own advice:
