My wife and myself arrived at Natura Resort hotel Wisconsin dells. This hotel didn't tell us that myself and wife that we could stay at the hotel versus being in a cabin.

Hard to know where to start… the experience was horrible.. for context, we stayed there for 3 days with my wife and 2 kids (1 year old and 4 years old). The room was super old, smelled and the wall were probably made out of paper.
But that was still ok, where I didn’t accepted the experience is that our room had a direct view on the internal swimming pool. Meaning, we had all the noise from the pool (until 10:30PM with super loud music) and people who didn’t even care about rules and management who didn’t even care about maintaining the rules. People were drinking beers, yelling non stop and putting music extra loud. I let you imagine the situation with 2 small kids at 10pm…
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!
In attachment, photo from our bedroom…

Stayed at this "resort" during a trip through The Dells. The descriptions and the photographs made it seem like a good place, with lots of activities for kids to do. They do have indoor pools onsite and the hotel is in walking distance to restaurants and other attractions. It does offer a reasonable price for a place to rest your head in a tourist heavy area. Those are the good qualities.
The reason I deducted 3 stars are multiple. The building we checked in at is not the building we stayed in, we had to cross a street to get to the building with our room. The attractions that they offer are not all onsite and some require a 10 minute drive away from the rooms. The attractions also close rather early in relation to check-in time at the resort. The rooms themselves are small and outdated. They could definitely be revamped. I honestly felt ripped off after checking in and seeing what we had compared to what was offered in descriptions and pictures.
If you just need a place to rest your head, this will do but, in my opinion, that is all it is good for.
Rooms: The rooms are very small and outdated.
Nearby activities: There are nearby restaurants and attractions. The onsite attractions close rather early though.
Safety: Everything appeared safe during our visit.
Walkability: It is easy to walk to nearby attractions and restaurants. There are sidewalks and crosswalks in place for pedestrians.
Food & drinks: They have vending machines and restaurants nearby but no onsite restaurants and no room service.

I was a little worried when I booked this resort because most of the reviews were bad. So, when we got here and got into our rooms, I was pleasantly surprised! Our room was very clean and did not look out of date, like some reviews stated. (I was a professional cleaner for 20 years, so i do notice things that other people don't.)
We had a single queen room and my daughter had a double queen room. Later in the week, my daughter went to a cabin. The cabins were also very cute and cozy!
We spent alot of time hanging out at the lagoon. This was a great spot for my 4 year old granddaughter! There was enough shallow area for her to play and be safe. The water does gradually get deeper as u go out further, I believe 3, 6, and 9ft deep. It was exactly like being at the beach. (This water is not chlorinated like a pool.) Bring your own floaties and sand toys!
I only had two complaints about our stay. It was disappointing that the outdoor water play areas closed at 5pm and 6pm. I felt that was early for summer. But, we were able to take our granddaughter to the inside pool to compensate.
The other complaint was that the check in staff didn't provide enough information about the other amenities that came with our stay. There is a whole other water park area that is included and isn't on site. We found it purely by accident when we were on our way somewhere else. I had noticed in some of the reviews that some were complaining that the play areas looked nothing like the pictures on the website, and that would be why.
I'm posting this review because I really thought it was important to let vacationers know that this is actually a really great place to stay (AND AFFORDABLE)and enjoy their time in Wisconsin Dells!
WE WILL DEFINITELY BE STAYING HERE AGAIN!

We stayed in a tree house on the lagoon. It was great for the price. We ended up paying about 110$ a night. Included in the price was free passes to Timvati wildlife park, land of natura, indoor pool, outdoor lagoons, and aloha Beach. The accommodations are not quite as nice as some of the other resorts, but it is a great value. They didn't charge a mandatory resort fee that many others in the area seem to add on to make the nightly price seem lower then it really is.
Rooms: The tree house rooms are pretty basic with one queen bed and a bunk bed. They do have a TV, air conditioning, a fridge, a microwave, and fire pit. The bathrooms/showers are separate, but it is a short wlak to get to them. The showers are not real warm and shut off every 30 seconds or so.

Definitely not a resort. Pretty much like a motel. Everything closes early. Like 5 or 6. Mind you, check-in isn't until 4 pm. The check-in process took way too long. Probably 30 mins. My husband reserved and paid for the room. He hurt his back so he didn't come with. Because I didn't have his card in person to swipe and verify, and even though it was paid for in advance he said he had to refund me and I had to do the reservation and pay all over again. Have to wait 7-10 days for a refund. The rooms were old. The building needs an update and remodel. The beds are comfy and plenty of pillows. They only had one washer and dryer for the building and the dryer was broken. The front desk suggested going to the building across the street. Carried a huge heavy bag of wet clothes to find out that the dryer was also broken in the building. Not to mention they had to be 20 years old. No wonder they didn't work. Basically, no way to dry your towels and suits. You have to drive to all the amenities. The pictures are very deceiving. Wouldn't stay here again.
Rooms: Old and outdated
Nearby activities: Everything is off the grounds

This is our favorite place to see the Dells. There so much for kids to do. The location is perfect everything is a walking distance. We stay here every time we come here.
Rooms: The rooms are clean and spacious
Nearby activities: There is a wildlife park and ice cream, candy shop and all kinds of other activities to walk to also a nice restaurant across the street
Walkability: Lots of stuff and walking distance

Only disappointment was lagoon hours are 10-5 which was not advertised, check in is 4 check out 1030 not a lot of time for the lagoons. If visiting the Land of Natura and Timbavati Zoo the free tickets/ parking offsets the cost of the hotel.
Rooms: We stayed in hotel building A 3 queen/ two bunks no concerns with room
Nearby activities: Closely located to many Wisconsin Dells activities

If you have kids and looking for some adventures the tree house are fun but No bathroom in the rooms. I am not expecting that it won’t even have sink No toilet No shower and Im happy that the lady in the front desk accommodate my request to get the regular room with bathroom.
Great customer service!

I would give this place a zero if I could! Everything was closed for the kids to do outside by noon because it was sprinkling out. The workers at the front desk know nothing and act clueless, also very unfriendly. Many, many, upset guests all saying they will never return again, I, myself included! The garbage from prior guests was left all at the bottom of our steps upon entering our treehouse as well. $500 for two nights of nothing for the kids to do in the evening is crap. Maybe they should let all the guests know everything closes by 7pm every night and even earlier if it's sprinkling outside. Very, very, disappointed!

Rooms were kind of clean. Sheets, towels, and basic stuff were clean, but cheetos and spent cap gun rounds under the bunk bed were not. Decor is very dated, but it's a place to sleep. The staff was very nice, the location is good. The best thing is access to all the Natura properties is included.

Friendly, helpful folks working the desk at all times we went to ask questions. Really a great stay, and with the wristbands included, totally worth the cost!
Rooms: Clean rooms, nice mattresses that weren't broken down.
Nearby activities: Located in the heart of the Dells!
Noteworthy details: Lots of different swimming options within walking distance of the hotel which the kids really enjoyed, and an awesome playground/treehouse and rope bridges area!
